Sun City

After finding that our hotel had been changed due to the insolvency of the agent who took the booking, we were not expecting much of the new hotel. Well it was fate to find we had been booked into the friendliest hotel ever, with a beautiful apartment with the most outstanding views of the mountains and sea. Nothing was too much trouble and we were soon feeling like one of the family. The hotel, pool and grounds were kept scrupulously clean, we loved the family and hotel so much that we booked for next year before leaving for home.

What a treat finding this place ! Location was great- chania was 10 mins away on a bus - platania just the same in other direction. Lovkey beaches nearby - great restaurants all around and amazing family who hosted My worry is others finding out and it not being available!!

I felt so comfortable and welcomed here. It is an amazing family running this place and they make you feel like you are family. I came solo and I felt safe and at peace. Great location, didn’t want to leave. Beaches are down the street, easy busy into Chania. Truly an amazing experience. Would come stay again in a heart beat.

Booked a last minute break here for a week after reading some lovely reviews. We chatted to lots of people at the pool bar, many of whom have visited over many years. The other guests were a lovely mix of Germans, Norwegians, Danish, Finnish and British. I had emailed before we travelled to ask for a ground floor room as I have difficulty with lots of stairs and Gina very kindly gave us room 21 at the back which overlooked a field of olive and fruit trees. The room was well equipped and had really comfortable beds. The whole family are really friendly and welcoming and look after everyone well. It was our first time to Sun City and Agii Apostoloi, although we've been to Crete many times. I'm sure we'll be back.

Exceptional stay! Couldn't be happier with my stay and holiday. The staff and the whole family were incredibly friendly and it is in the best location with 2 massive supermarkets right next door, restaurants across the road and nearby, 3 beautiful beaches within 10-15min walk, a super easy and cheap bus route to central Chania( nr21/ 10mins) and all the tourist hot spots, nightlife right outside to the supermarket. Rooms were cleaned every day, aircon with a beautiful view of either backyard ( evening sun) or Pool area (morning sun), great cooking facilities and amenities in the room and whatever we needed they provided, always with a lovely smile. They have a lift for people who struggle with steps, a fully stocked bar, excellent breakfast and the loveliest bar staff. The pool is very clean and deep and got a cute separate area for kids, and has plenty of sun loungers. It is 30min from the airport in a taxi and it's cheap but the bus is even cheaper. The 3 beaches nearby are ( roughly) a 10-15min walk. super easy to get there straight road. All 3 have everything on the beach, changing rooms, showers, beach cafes and sun lungers and one has wheelchair access to the beach and the water. 2 have sand in the water, 1 a little bit stone and sand One has a surf school and paddle board rental. I travel a lot and am used to most hotels, hostels and homestays so I highly recommend this stay to everyone, young, old, families and couples its an Absolute GEM!
