Knight's Inn Boston/Danvers

Though there was mild traffic noise outside, you feel like you are in the country. The location was beautiful. Glad to see an older motel revived. No complaints. I won’t be going back to the northeast, but if I was in the area again, I would stay there.

The staff was so nice at night and in the morning, but my room was pretty gross. The fitted sheet on the king bed was stained on the side of the bed either by urine or feces and dried. They put a plastic covering over the bottom fitted sheet, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. They probably did that so they didn't have to wash it. The chair at the desk was broken and one of the arms was torn. The bathtub faucet was sticking out like it was going to come out of the wall and there was also some small damage in tub. On the wall next to the towel rack was a very long hair.I'm not sure how long it had been there, but it was pretty disgusting and i'm not sure how anybody cleaning that room could have missed it. One of the towels had dirt marks dried on it which was kind of crazy that housekeeping wouldn't have noticed that. Because of the plastic over the sheet I could not sleep. I book the room with an online booking service.So I knew I couldn't get any money back so I didn't even bother asking. Again, the staff was very nice , but this place needs a complete renovation and cleatly needed it for decades. I booked the room because it was the cheapest in the area and clearly now I know why. Good but not so good location. The location itself is really not the best. Hard to find in the dark of night. Very tiny sign and not well marked alley to get to the hotel. Alley full of potholes.

Definitely OK for a short stay. Easy parking, clean rooms (although there was a soap wrapper in the garbage). Shampoo and body wash not stocked in shower (which is not important to me, but something I noticed). Juice machine was empty all morning, but it was quiet and in a good location for what I needed. The drive in and out was really rough though (needs to be repaved) and the entrance was tough to find in the dark.

This property was just what I was looking for. Conveniently located to everything I wanted to see/do in the area. The room had a recent refurbishment and was very comfortable. I recently wrapped up a multi-state running/race trip and this was about my best room - spacious, clean, comfy. The shower had great pressure and was hot. Bed was comfortable with great linens. Breakfast was plentiful and just what I needed!
