This is the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed at. The noise is absolutely unbearable and I was unable to sleep nearly the whole 5 days I was there. I saw other people with noise complaints as well at the front desk each day. I have never been to hotel where there is noise from every direction. The elevator plays a loud song every time it’s used and the doors slam SO hard. I could hear everyone in the rooms near mine as well as noise outside. Housekeeping could wake up the dead. I could even hear the neighbors walking upstairs, which has never happened at a hotel before.
When I asked for a room change due to a party in the room next to mine at midnight, I was informed that there are no rooms available and hotel was fully booked. When I asked for a manager I was told to EMAIL the manager for a reply the next day. When I continued to ask for another way to reach the manager I was told that the staff member who walked in just then was “the manager”. The front desk person then said they had only 2 rooms left but none were quiet. I asked if I could check before choosing one of the two and he said yes. When I came back down to ask for one of the rooms, suddenly he said he never offered me a room change. When I asked why he would provide me the room number to check if it was noisy, he replied that he thought I just wanted to see. I suspect the “manager” instructed him when I stepped away not to offer a room switch. He again told me that the hotel was fully booked. When I showed them that rooms are still available for booking online that night, he proceeded to tell me that those rooms are saved in case a new customer books and I would have to PAY FOR ANOTHER ROOM to move. It was way past midnight at that point. When I asked for their names, they refused to tell me and the male representative told me he was “about to clock out anyway”. I have never in all my years of travel around the world, ever been treated with so much disrespect at a hotel. It is absolutely disgusting that a hotel would prioritize a nonexistent customer over a present one, especially considering I booked 6 rooms for 5 nights. In addition, lying is never the solution when working with customers. If your policy is “no room changes no matter what”, then state that, rather than sending the customer to check available rooms then backtracking and piling on more lies.
The rooms are in dire need of renovations and are poorly maintained. The shower head in my bathroom wasn’t working and I asked for it to be fixed. Maintenance came and did nothing while I was out. I had to ask again the next day and it was only fixed while I watched. I suspect nothing would’ve been done if I hadn’t stayed in to confirm. The pillows are clumps because of how old they are. The bedding and towels are scratchy. The toilet paper is translucent but somehow rougher than sandpaper, strong enough to slough off all of your skin. Housekeeping doesn’t even pick up trash and the rooms smell musty. Not to mention the amount of yelling and slamming gadgets around all day long to make it seem like they’re cleaning. If noise volume equated cleanliness, the hotel would be spotless. Breakfast is dismal, with fake microwaved eggs and sad sausages. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel ever again and I wouldn’t even consider another Hilton unless the only option is to be homeless.
