The hotel was just as the pictures, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We are vegetarians, they went the extra mile to prepare us a hi-tea as well as meals according to our taste at the restaurant. The food was yum and they gave a good discount too at the restaurant. They also had a personal staff member with us all the time, Cassie she was lovely; very helpful, could speak English and showed us around. Overall it was totally worth it.

We had such a great time at the hotel. The room was amazing and the location was one of the best in Dali. Our private butler was Nancy and she was so sweet to be honest. From helping us chosing our meals to planning our itinerary in Dali, she helped us all along. Highly recommend staying in the hotel. GGRACEOur stay at Dali Xingmai Mountain and Sea View Homestay was pleasant overall and a good value for its price, especially if you're seeking a peaceful retreat in the quieter part of Dali. Traveling as a family, we were looking for a place that offered serene sea views, and this homestay mostly delivered on that. While there is some ongoing construction in front of the building that slightly affects the view, the surrounding scenery is still beautiful and calming. The cleanliness of the homestay was satisfactory, and it offers a good range of amenities. The kitchen, in particular, is well-equipped, making it a great option for families or groups of friends planning to cook and enjoy meals together. However, if you're simply traveling for leisure and don't plan to spend much time at the homestay, you may find the kitchen unnecessary. One thing to note is that there is no central air conditioning or heating system. The homestay provides a bed warmer (which works well) and a small air-conditioning unit in the living room, but the bedrooms can get quite chilly at night, especially during winter. It's something to consider if you're visiting during colder months. In terms of location, this homestay is ideal if you're looking to unwind in a quiet and restful environment. However, for those planning a busy schedule with visits to Dali's main attractions, the distance might be a drawback. The homestay is located in a residential area, and getting to most tourist spots can take 45-60 minutes by car, whether you're heading to the west or east side of Erhai Lake. There are also no nearby F&B stores except one small restaurant in the building next door so make sure you eat in the city areas before coming back to the inn. That said, if you're staying for a longer duration and prefer a relaxed, free-and-easy itinerary, this could be a suitable choice given its amenities like the kitchen and laundry facilities. It's also worth mentioning that this homestay feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional inn. It's situated in a residential building, with the entrance being a carpark and access through an elevator to a residential unit. There’s no lobby, service counter, or common areas. Instead, check-in and assistance are handled through WeChat. Despite some of the drawbacks, the service here truly stood out. The staff member assisting us was incredibly kind, prompt, and accommodating. Whenever we had questions or faced minor issues, she responded quickly and made every effort to resolve them, which helped make our trip smoother. Her attentiveness and helpfulness were a highlight of our stay and left a positive impression. While this homestay may not have been our favorite, the excellent service and peaceful setting make it a decent choice for travelers prioritizing quiet and self-sufficiency over convenience and luxury.

AAllen HaimingJust spent a wonderful five nights at the Anyu Hotel in Dali in November, this beautifully appointed boutique hotel was so charming. From the warm lights, to the rich hardwood floors, ceilings, and furniture to all the thoughtful accents in the room and common areas, it felt like a charming and cozy home away from home.
Hotel location is fantastic, just steps away from the Dali Ancient Town, so everything from cafes, top restaurants, pharmacies, markets, bars, and hundreds of other stores and outdoor vendors are just a 2-10 minute walk away, no need to sit in traffic or call a car to get around.
Bed and pillows very comfortable, showerhead very powerful so makes for a very luxurious shower.
However, the best thing about the hotel is their warm and caring staff.
Nancy, one of the cleaning staff, was always super helpful and attentive and delightful to chat with, and was also kind enough to give us some great recommendations on places to visit which we ended up enjoying very much.
Anna was also very nice to interact with, her gentle and pleasant demeanor and thoughtful words always made it a pleasure to see her.
Candy was wonderful as well, always making sure we were attended to and ended up making some great recommendations on places to eat nearby. Her warm smile and kind demeanor will be remembered.
Finally, it was Vivian who we owe a deep debt of gratitude to. On the first day, my 84-year old Mom came down with an illness which included all sorts of symptoms. Vivian went out of her way to call a car and she accompanied us to the nearest hospital where she helped us fill out all the necessary paperwork and stayed by Mom's side for over an hour as we waited to see a doctor. Medication was prescribed and she called another car to take us back to the hotel while she went to a nearby pharmacy to pick up the medication for us which she then brought back to the hotel. By then it was well into the night and she had even taken us to the hospital when she was already off work, so this was all on her own time.
My Mom ended up making a recovery in large part to Vivian's quick and incredibly kind actions. She really went above and beyond and we are just so grateful to her and Anyu Hotel for helping to save my Mom.
Vivian was also an absolute pleasure to talk to as she always came over to greet us and chat everyday during our stay. Her warm smile, cheerful disposition, and charismatic yet humble personality always made every interaction a real pleasure. The hospitality we experienced from her will never be forgotten and feel very fortunate to have met someone with such a kind heart and also very high EQ and dedication. We know if we had stayed at a different hotel there is no way we would have experienced this level of hospitality so we are deeply appreciative for Vivian and the entire staff at Anyu for making our trip one that won't be forgotten.

JJamieOur experience at Pullman Dali was a mix of highs and lows, with some exceptional staff and several areas that fell short of expectations for an Accor hotel.
The Good: We were fortunate to receive excellent service from Ms. Eleven and Mr. Herman, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Their kindness and attentiveness, especially when our child fell sick during the stay, were truly commendable. They provided all the assistance we needed, making a challenging situation much more manageable. Additionally, the café staff member, Mona, stood out for her patience and friendly attitude.
The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet the standards we expect from an Accor hotel. Communication was a significant challenge, as many of the local staff struggled with English, making it difficult to get basic information or assistance.
The hotel seems to cater primarily to local Chinese guests, which greatly influenced the atmosphere. The breakfast area was chaotic and crowded, and the variety and taste of the food left much to be desired. While Mona was polite and helpful, other staff displayed a dismissive and arrogant attitude. For instance, when we inquired about some of the local breakfast items, the response was abrupt and unwelcoming, as if they didn’t care whether we ate or not.
Additionally, breakfast ended strictly at 10:30 AM. While I was still taking food from the buffet, the staff turned off the lights and removed the trays right in front of me without any warning. It felt extremely inconsiderate and left a poor impression.
Other Observations: The location of the hotel is convenient, and the rooms are decent. However, the overall experience may be more suited to local Chinese guests rather than international travelers expecting global standards of service and hospitality.
Final Thoughts: While there were shining moments thanks to a few outstanding staff members, the overall experience at Pullman Dali did not live up to the reputation of the Accor brand. If you are an international guest seeking a more service-oriented stay, you might want to consider other options.

UUtente ospiteInterestingly, as soon as you enter the entrance to the hotel (about 20 steps from main Dali ancient city's pedestrian street), it is serenely quiet and no noise from the chaotic tourist crowd can be heard at all. How blissful! Don't let the simple, understated entrance throw you off.
What I like about this hotel is as soon as I made the booking, the hotel contacted me and added me via Wechat. Checking with me on my arrival date and timing, and offer to pick up from the main road as the hotel is located on the pedestrian street so no car is allowed. It's a welcoming touch which I appreciated.
I specifically booked the room that oversees the 'Wu Hua Tower' from my balcony. It's so close, loved it! Beautiful morning and night views of the tower.
The hotel has just recently opened earlier in 2024; the room interior is modern and clean. Comfortable room size, bedding and amenities. It also has one of those multi-button toilet seat (just like the ones in Korea/Japan). One minor detail if can be improved is to add hooks or railings to hang the towels.
The helpful team of staff, Pei helped me with the luggage using the trolley upon arrival, and Ah Hua who helped me to arrange a driver for the day and recommended places to check out. There was even grilled tofu and tea by the charcoal fire each night (it's freezing at night in Dec) whenever Ah Hua can manage (thank you for the supper and company, Ah Hua!). Met the easy-going owners too, husband and wife.
No breakfast at the hotel but you will be spoilt for choices with so many eateries within walking distance. If you're up for it, there is a local morning market just outside of the North Gate, about 10mins walk. Very local with plenty of authentic breakfast options. Love the morning hustle! Plenty of photo opportunities.
If you enjoy shopping, it's a 'disaster' as this hotel is located right in the middle of it! Shop till you drop. It is also close to plenty live music bars.
I must say, this is one of those hotels that I will bookmark to stay again whenever I return to windy Dali.

UUtente ospiteThe best hotel experience of this trip is mainly due to the hotel's service. The butler, Liu, is very attentive and meticulous, which is the best service I've ever experienced. Super awesome!!! The hotel scenery is beautiful, located on the edge of Shuanglang Scenic Area, and every angle is very photogenic. The room facilities are complete and considerate, and there are very complete supplies for children, clean and tidy. There is a fruit plate when we arrive. In the evening, they also send good night milk, and the children really like the kittens in the shop. Butler Liu introduced the surrounding attractions, delicious food, and matters needing attention in detail, really considering for customers, and the experience is super good. Next time I come to Dali, I will stay here again👍

TT.W.LBooked the family room at courtyard level as I had elderly and wanted an accommodation which is easy to access. I also did not want to be hoisting luggages up and down and over cobbled streets in the old town and somewhere along the city wall so it is easy to start our tour of the sights around Dali in the morning.
Room: Simple efficient clean layout with open concept. Rooms are relatively new. Sink area is located outside the bathroom which is good. The beds are hard in my opinion but elder felt the bed was comfortable. Bottled water was provided everyday (left outside our door). Room Temperature control was ok and the hot water for the shower heated up quick and could maintain at a stable level which is a plus unlike some other hotels in Yunnan.
There is flight of 3-4 steps to room which is manageable for our elder as the room is slightly raised above the courtyard. We had an early check-in as the room was ready. The staff helped us move the luggages to our room. You could also book the entire courtyard for larger groups. The owner is building additional new rooms in the annex but the construction happens during the day and it is not noisy as most guests would be out.
Location:
It is near the South Gate (there is a local market nearby check the maps or ask the owner) and our local driver could stop right outside our accommodation.
We didn’t get breakfast from the bnb as there were food shops offering noodles, congee and fried dumplings around that open early at 7am. You can also make your way to the local market near the gate. You could also go up the South Gate for free to catch the sunrise or sunset view.
Touring around Dali
If you can comms in Chinese, you could message the owner ahead to assist to arrange for a car transfer from Dali Fengyi Airport or the Dali Railway station to the BnB. It cost RMB50 for us from the Railway station to the BnB. You could also arrange with him for a day driver to take you around the sight seeing places around Dali /Erhai Lake, Mt Cang or a driver to send you to Lijiang. We felt was more efficient and relaxing with an elder. It took ~3h drive instead of travelling south to the Dali train station to ride the train to Lijiang and finding a cab from Lijiang railway to the old Lijiang ancient city.
You could also easily catch a Didi or a cab which could be cheaper. A cab/car ride to the 3 Chong Sen Temple pagodas was about 10rmb for 3-4pax which is comparable to waiting for Bus 4 which cost 3rmb per pax.

Ci sono manette e asciugamani sul ponte.Il secondo piano ha lavastoviglie che possono essere asciugati, e anche la sala fitness, ma non sono molto attrezzature fitness.
