Sen Boutique Hotel

I booked a superior room that was advertised as 25 square meter and on the pictures there was a desk too to work from, but the room actually fits just a bed and maybe 40-40 cm extra space on each side, plus the bathroom, no desk, so not more than 12-16 sqm. Misleading. The standard room is much bigger with a desk but it faces the wall of the neighbouring building. Long story short, the receptionist girls are very very kind and speak good english, but the manager was literally shouting at the me on the phone and was being very rude when I asked her if she can transfer me to another room as the window was broken and couldn’t be opened in mine and as the room was so tiny and airless I didn’t feel well. I told them when checking in that I’m planning to stay longer, but after this incident I moved to somewhere else and checked out after 2 days.

I love this hotel, it’s next to the beach, main area, the king room is nice, but there are no a lot of light. The staff is friendly.

Top notch hotel situated bang in the middle of Da Nang. Short walk to most restaurants.....A must see is The Dragon bridge......breathes fire at weekends.....great place to walk around with lots of activities.... You can get a suit/ dress made up of any material....dirt cheap and top quality

Good things first - AC is good. Wifi internet is good. Breakfast food tastes good too (I love the omelette). Location near the beach. Many restaurants and convenience stores around. Let’s now go to the interesting part. I was moved to a different hotel on my first night because they told me my room was under maintenance. The hotel they moved me into was just across the street. It was an old building and it’s cheaper so it looks like I just got ripped off. I also needed to check in and out twice which was a hassle. I needed to adjust my itinerary for my second day because of this. I got back to Sen Boutique Hotel for my second night and onwards as expected. The room was small (which was manageable) and a bit dark for me. It could have used more/brighter lighting. The sink was outrageously leaking every time I use it. They were able to fix it quickly though. The pictures they post on their listings are full of deceptions. The breakfast is not buffet style which was advertised. You only need to pick one on the set menu. For my first breakfast, they let me wait for almost an hour for my omelette! I found out that they forgot my order on the list. The lady who took my order (from the reception in the morning shift who most of the time wears Ao Dai) was not even apologetic about it and as if nothing happened! They also don’t have a pool for all their guests. I was told that the pool posted online is just for the villa. This was a bummer because the buffet breakfast and the pool were the reasons why I booked here in the first place. They need to remove the photos of the pool and buffet breakfast on their listing because that is not true! If I could have known this, I should have just stayed somewhere else.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, and I perhaps leave a negative review every year or two, but Sen Boutique Hotel was one of the worst properties I have ever stayed in. This is mostly down to the cleaner. This is the dirtiest property I have ever stayed in. Immediately upon arrival, there were ants on the counter and dishes quickly washed but not put away. The lamps hadn't been dusted in years; the blinds are disgusting; the top of the fridge hadn't been cleaned in probably years. I quite literally went to bed and there were ants in the bed. I woke up and would have to brush them off me. When, on the second day, I mentioned it to the cleaner, she had the audacity to say I should shower more. The place was disgustingly dirty. The room was dark with some of the lights not working. The furniture is extremely old. Both the bar and cafe are closed, though this is not mentioned on their website. The owner did kindly bring me a frying pan when I mentioned the lack of pans, but what truly lets this place down is an extremely lazy cleaner who is not cleaning the rooms properly. The room was disgusting. The worst experience I have had staying in a hotel in years.
