The Gladstone Central Hotel

位置離中心區很近，就是使用谷歌導航的時候導到另外一個酒店去了，房間還不錯。

The staff at this property are amazing. We had to leave another property due to cleanliness and hygiene reasons and as soon as we spoke to reception they could not do enough for us arranging a room immediately even though it was before 9.30am. The room was exceptionally clean, had a fantastic view of the harbour, and a well stocked reasonably priced mini bar. Book a harbour view room for your stay - early risers will not be disappointed with the sunrises from your room. Bed was comfortable but too soft for our liking, and verandah was quite small so couldn't sit outside which are our only complaints. Lovely restaurant on site, walking distance to pubs, shops, restaurants (the Thai restaurant outside the hotel would have to be one of the best we have had) and banks.

Very good accommodation. Clean and comfortable with a beautiful morning view. Also, the communication after the service works very well. I had some issues with receipts and payments from my work, and they solved them fast and professionally.

I loved the hotel however I think some rooms should come with kitchens and more utensils However the rest of the room was average I loved the comfort of the bed and I loved how we had free tea and coffee e It was walking distance to Woolworths which was very handy

We were stranded by the Heron ferry on New Year's Eve and the island resort did nothing to help any of the guests. We got on our phones and were looking for a reasonably priced place to crash for the night. We got to the hotel and checked n without issue. It was super hot so we changed and headed for the pool. We were the only ones there! We asked the desk how many rooms were booked and she said like 20 only. The restaurant/bar was closed because the owner was on vacation. The town was basically dead and we felt like we were walking in the zombie apocalypses. We ended up ordering Tai for dinner and the 7 of us had the whole terrace and patio to our selves for the night. We ended up having a great time! The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. For an unexpected stay we made the best of it and have a story to tell. Not a fancy hotel, but it did the trick for us.

Had two rooms on the 4th floor, for one night on our way from Heron Island to Brisbane.Was concerned about some of the previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised & very impressed. Looked like it has been fully renovated. Nice hallways & room was lovely with very comfortable beds & pillows. Bathroom was very nice too. Had dinner from Thai restaurant downstairs. A bit disappointed hotel restaurant not open on Sunday. Would recommend.

It’s very obvious to see that this is not a Rydges hotel anymore on arrival. Don’t make the mistake of thinking otherwise. I made my reservation well over a month ago and was given a disabled room. Normally not a huge problem, but the bathroom was the size of a closet with no water protection and no wear to place anything. I called the reception desk only to be told I got the manager after asking for them. I asked if he could change my room and got a very quick response of “ no we are full tonight “ I said not everyone has checked in as is early so could you switch my room? Once again an abrupt no… the rooms are allocated! Now … I worked at major hotels when in university about 35 to 40 years ago, and we always tried to accommodate a customers request and was as simple as a press of a button! And that was 40 years ago!! But To hard for him! I then told him I won’t be staying and he said if I am out in 5 minutes, room Untouched he would refund the money. I went downstairs and told him of his poor customer service which was not the case when a Rydges hotel and that I was a regular and he responded “ you’re obnoxious and I would rather you not stay here! Now that’s customer service? That’s how he was trained to handle a complaint? He obviously needs to be retrained to be, not only more professional in his customer service skills but in his appearance! He looked like he just rolled out of bed in shorts and jersey , dirty runners and hair like a bird nest! I was shocked he was the manager and not the janitor. Obviously I won’t be staying there anymore now that it has changed hands and has rapidly dis improved! Oh… and the lift Is temper mental and only works by chance.

Sadly this hotel is not up to the standard it should be. All is fine until you get out of the elevator - the hallways look like they are from a $20 per night hotel. The carpet is filthy and there is a musty smell. On entering my room it was again musty, and I discovered later on that the carpet near the door was still damp - when I was in my bare feet (yuk). When I tried to go to sleep, there was a loud, reverberating “hum” coming from something outside and it kept me from sleeping. I had to use ear plugs. The aircon unit had a blue and a green light on it that literally lit up the room, which was very unpleasant and didn’t help when trying to sleep. Both fire escape doors were jammed open on my floor- I would have thought that was not allowed? There is no breakfast option at the hotel- seriously? I would not stay here again and will be asking my company not to book this hotel again.
