If you want true hospitality, a good sleep, clean well equipped room and a breakfast that will fill you for the day this is the place ! Everything about Cartron House was first class from the initial contact until the time we left. It is a place not to be missed on your travels through Ireland .

I have stayed here twice before, and although I thought it was excellent then, the improvements are amazing. Impeccably clean, with comfortable, well equipped bedrooms; a homely dining room with the best breakfast imaginable, a large, warm and relaxing visitors’ sitting room (with its own kitchenette for drinks and snacks), and best of all, charming, friendly and welcoming hosts. All this set in beautiful grounds, with its own nature walk through the fields behind the property. They even have a large function suite for weddings and parties etc. Wonderfully relaxing, I can’t wait to go again! No wonder they are award winners - well deserved.

We had a family reunion at Cartron House recently and had a wonderful visit. We used the cottages, B&B and venue. Everything was great. Ann and Timmy made our stay a time to remember. They go above and beyond at all times For those who stayed in the B&B we couldn’t have asked for more, clean, comfortable, calm and excellent breakfast. The cottages were well equipped, clean and comfortable. The surroundings and facilities were amazing. It’s no wonder that this place is so highly rated, it deserves all the accolades. Highly recommend Cartron House.

Cartron House is perfect for people that wish to visit the core of authentic Ireland! It is not on a main route, but in a strategic spot from where it is possible to reach many localities in the centre of the Ireland, included Galway, Doolin, Mullingar etc. Ann the manager is very lovely and friendly and accommodated us in any way. The room was cozy but with everything we need, only issue was that it wasn't completely soundproof (building is a characteristic Irish farm), but luckily this was not a particular problem :) Breakfast was amazing, with many choices available (also for people with special food requirements), everything was fresh made and served by Ann. Her scones are special, the best ones I've ever tried! Ann was taking note of the preferred time for breakfast, in case of special needs. Dinner was available on request made 24h before, and food was fresh and awesome! Wifi signal was falling quite often in the rooms upstairs, but it was ok most of the time, it could be powered up in case...and anyway we were not at the place most of the time, not an issue to unplug for a while! We will definitely visit Ann in the future, hopefully with friends or family!

We had travelled up for a family funeral and needed somewhere close by to stay and Cartron House Farm was perfect. Lovely cosy rooms with comfy bed. Great Shower in the bathroom. Lovely grounds around the property and so much space for parking. Breakfast was lovely. Bacon was delicious and the Homemade Soda Bread was so good. Definitely try it. Fantastic selection of foods for breakfast as well. The host was lovely and welcoming and very friendly and attentive and she made the stay all the more pleasant especially under the circumstances. Would stay here again and would recommend it to others.
