Had my baby shower at rookery hall on Sunday afternoon. Thank you to the team for making it so perfect, Lauren in events organised this for me and was very thorough throughout. The restaurant staff on the day were all so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. All of my friends commented about how wonderful the day was and how lovely the atmosphere and food is there. We also made use of the outside terrace area which was just stunning, the weather was great and the fountain in the background made it so much more special. Thank you to rookery hall and all of the staff for making my baby shower so memorable

We booked an evening meal in the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary since we got married there 25 years ago, a happy celebration turned into a nightmare as I suffered severe stomach pain and terrible diarrhea in the early morning after that meal. What’s shocked me the most is the lack of follow up from the hotel after I informed them of my bad experience. It doesn’t seem that Rookery Hall is taking this food poisoning incident seriously which is truly disappointing. They just ignored my email asking for a full explanation and investigation which leaves me with no option but to share this bad experience.

Stayed here for one night for business and was really impressed with the hotel - Check in was swift and painless - the rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, and the ambience of the hotel was lovely. Particularly appreciated the fluffy dressing gown, 40 inch plasma screen and really good tea and coffee making facilities! Good bathroom - simple but classy. The gym was quite busy with members (its open the public) when I went - but it was peak time (just after work) so I guess it’s not too bad. The pool and spa are to die for! Everything is very beautifully finished - and feels very classy, but not overly so. The package I stayed on included a complimentary massage - which was just what we needed after a day’s work! Food in the restaurant was delicious - with good regional and seasonal food on the menu. The wine list was excellent - though a little on the pricey side (don't expect to pay less than £25 for a bottle). Drinks in the bar later very expensive (£7.35 for an amaretto!) Great choice of hot foods for breakfast – though the full English (or “countryside platter” at they called it) was a little disappointing – felt like it had been sitting under a hot plate for a little while. The huge pots of fresh coffee made up for it though! Overall I would say it was a lovely place to stay – very idyllic and relaxing and perfect for work or pleasure, and would stay there again.

Couldn’t fault this venue and staff for the amazing day they helped to organise for us! For everything to the run up, the the morning and the full day it was amazing! A special thank you to to Steph for helping plan every detail perfectly and also to Melissa for all her help on the day and Leah for all her help setting up! All the staff I had the pleasure of speaking to were incredible and are a credit to your team at rookery hall! We definitely will be coming back! Thank you so much again

Oh my goodness! Hard to put into words how happy I am with my visit to Rookery Hall. We had the al a carte dinner in the restaurant. The complete package was phenomenal. The food was to die for and the service was second to none. Sarah was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel like VIPs. We really cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much 😍

We hired Rookery Hall as our wedding venue in August and thoroughly believe it played a massive part in us having the best day. Not only are the grounds and buildings beautiful, but is more about the people who work there who make it feel very warm. The reception team were lovely upon our arrival and everyone (from the chefs, to the bartenders and waitresses, to the team who helped coordinate our wedding itself) was on the top of their game and our guests were extremely impressed by them too. If you are considering Rookery as a wedding venue, it’s a no-brainer. The packages they offer take a lot of stress of the planning process and the team they have to help organise are brilliant. We love this place and will certainly be regular visitors in the future. Thank you for making our day!

Whilst I did think the rooms could do with a little refurb, everything overall was 10/10. The staff at check in were wonderful and so on it. The rooms were fully equipped with everything you could want for a weekend break from fresh milk for your tea, to TVs in the bathroom (!). The spa was nice, and we loved walking around the grounds. But the biggest highlight was dinner in the restaurant. The service was incredible and we loved the passion from every member of staff. Definitely will be back!

Visited Rookery as part of a spa weekend and cannot wait to go back. The thing that stood out for me was the faultless service, from the moment we arrived staff (from spa, check in, bar, restaurant, coffee shop, cleaners) could not do enough for us. Spa: spotlessly clean, good quality robes and towels, exceptional afternoon tea. Hotel: luggage had already been taken to our room, great spacious room, turn down service, again spotless. Bar: knowledgable bar man who was very attentive, lovely cosy atmosphere. Restaurant: food was exceptional quality, michelin standard, high attention to detail. Cannot wait to return here...the customer service was one of the best ive experienced recently..credit where it is due!
