What a decline this hotel has had. Stayed many times but I don’t remember the staff being so grumpy, reception staff to the bar staff, no smiles, no how can I help you. The room needs updating, toilet seat hanging off, Bathroom not clean. Poor quality for a holiday inn.

Good clean hotel, efficient and polite staff beds were comfortable. Food was very good. Parking and room package purchased at a good rate. We have used the parking and room options before and found it meets our needs especially when we have an early flight.

Hotel was ok till my return when it took over 3/4 hour for them to find my key. In the loads of boxes. A manager walked in and basically stated he had better things to do Then my keys found elastic banded and broken in two No apologise disgraceful stating they made not there was damaged to start Not true and we managed to get broken part in lock to finally get home very late that evening Would not use hotel again as bad customer service

Couple,car park 1 week, 1 night stay before flight Gatwick north, great location for airport parking and shuttle to Gatwick made early flight much easier, dinner was nice service good, check in easy, car parking good, room lovely modern comfy clean, perfect night stay, shuttle service great every 20 minute £4.50 per adult each way, long walk when drop off shuttle Gatwick north Return was easy after the long walk to bus stop, pick up car at hotel easy quick service. No complaints Definitely will do it next time

A typical airport hotel with rather "interesting" electrics - put switches to the off position to get some lights to come on! It needs (and is possibly in the course of) a decent freshening up. Food in the restaurant was really good - award a gold star. My pet hate - charging for parking overnight whilst a guest. As we were leaving reasonably early next morning we "only" paid £11 ! If a hotel chain is so hard-up then pad the headline price to include the parking.

From check in services Helpful, engaging Booked our taxi back to the airport Parking seem less Great set up Upon arrival a very slick, well rehearsed and competent welcome team are on reception to cater to your every need The room’s were very modern, clean and of a very high standard We enjoyed drinks at the bar Served once again but fabulous staff that were genuinely eager to help The dinning experience filled me with dread …..!!! Hotel dinning … what’s to like ? However another pleasant surprise The food was really reasonably priced So instantly I though it’s going to be crap However four of us had a great meal I had the spaghetti carobana with back on and extra chicken, with cheesy garlick bread YUM My wife had the chicken and bacon pie She thought it lovely The friends had lamb shank curry Beautiful with cardamom rice All served but the adorable Sarah She spent about five minutes with us chatting Her husband works with her Her two daughters are in university One in Bath the other in JP Morgan’s academy Lovely lady Fabulous service from start to finish I will definitely stay every time I fly from Gatwick My new best find ever

The most remote in the middle of nowhere must use a car or taxi to get here nowhere near the airport will screw you out of money Super outdated no outlets at all in the entire room w a view of well nothing Pretty much a bloody dump w a super slippery concussion bruised back bathtub Don’t let the pictures fool you the ceilings are so low you’ll feel like a giant

This Holiday Inn Express should be rebranded as a Travel Lodge. I would say this Holiday Inn does not offer good value for money, the rooms are very basic. With a Travel lodge you get what you pay for, for a Holiday Inn you expect a bit more. This hotel is charging a lot because of its proximity to Gatwick. The room is basic as can be, it was clear it had not been vacum cleaned very well, the small sofa had some dodgy stains on it so was not going to be sitting on that. The TV remote looked like it should be sanitised. I will not be staying at this Holiday Inn again.

Pros: Location is great if commuting to or from London Gatwick. Reliable and affordable bus/shuttle service Breakfast although repetitive, they had a great selection to choose from Restaurant and bar staff made the stay at this hotel everything, as they were helpful and attentive. Can't remember the bartenders name, a young guy I salute you. Cons: The rooms are small and crapped. The front desk was extremely rude and not helpful Check in was extremely late and room turnover was poor. Overall, the hotel could use a room and staff upgrade but generally, it served it's purpose of a two night stay. Although, I won't choose here again.
