In generale un hotel molto tranquillo , senza animazione , per se si vuole un rilassamento totale è il indicato , le camere sono molto bene , mi ha toccato sul 8° piano e aveva una vista bella , il servizio in generale bene , solo un po ' lento rispetto al Servizio sulla spiaggia e l'albero, e nei ristoranti, la colazione molto buona, rispetto al cibo dei lunch e cena , qualità regolare nel fino dei piatti , e se il servizio un po ' lento , le strutture molto belle e la spiaggia migliore che hanno è spettacolare e eccellente per snorkear e godere di tutti i pesci che ci sono , molto bella , già le notti più tranquille , Se preferiscono più divertimento poi uscire dall'hotel a 10 min sarai già al Centro , ma in generale abbastanza buono e buono per il costo quindi non è richiesto nemmeno più 👍🏼 per continuare a lottare per essere migliore .

PROS: È un grande luogo di immersione sul mare, sulla strada, sulla terrazza, sulla piscina, sul club di spiaggia e sul ristorante aperto con bar. Tradizionale struttura dell'hotel messicano con corteggia aperta e lanais che hanno una bella vista sul giardino e/o océano. CONs: La maggior parte dei ristoranti della zona sono eccessivamente costosi, come i servizi di Signor Frog/Hooters, che si occupano di bevande e di immersioni. Il buffet è stato un prezzo da tavolo a vapore pesante che è stato eccessivo a più di $15/person. Questo sarebbe stato offerto gratuitamente dai ristoranti statunitensi. Il personale del Front Desk non era particolarmente amichevole o utile. Quando mio marito ha perso la borsa nel lobby, e non l'hanno trovata persa e trovata, non l'hanno controllata dietro il desktop finché non abbiamo chiesto una seconda volta e l'hanno trovata magicamente. Il club di spiaggia è bello, ma la piscina era troppo crudele per me (situata tra due pier e la strada, con una vista principalmente sulle navi da crociera davanti).

La posizione è a cinque minuti a piedi dalla piazza della ferry. Guarda è sorprendente dalla nostra vista sugli oceani aggiornamento molto vale il denaro per assicurarsi di guardare la nave da crociera doc proprio davanti a noi è stato davvero figo. Il buffet di colazione era eccellente in mattinata. Le sedie intorno alla piccola piscina di splash erano anche belle in un piccolo bar in zona della piscina. Ci sono trascorsi un giorno guardando tutte le azioni in mare davanti a noi. Tutti i dipendenti erano molto carini e utili. Il prezzo era buono per la posizione di questo hotel. Abbiamo davvero piacere tutti gli ascensori in costruzione. Ha anche un negozio 7-11 situato sotto l'hotel aperto 24/7 così conveniente. Vorrei consigliare molto questo piccolo hotel in attesa di rimanere lì la prossima volta

My wife and I, and a close friend arrived at the hotel on April 18, 2023. The friend and I previously stayed at this El Cid in 2015, and found the place pleasant during that visit for a week of scuba diving. During both stays at El Cid we found the people there very cordial and anxious to please. However, we will likely never stay there again. The place was noisy day and evening. One of the two small elevators had recently been maintained, and the other, right outside our door, was under construction. Construction noise, smells, and debris from this elevator work were part of every day, often into the evenings until after 7 PM. Whether or not we had our front door open, to exit the room, or not, we were subject to noise and concrete debris from this source, as workers were cutting through rebar and concrete, just a few feet from our door. There was also major demolition underway on another part of the hotel, with workers utilizing jackhammers much of each day. This is what we also listened to on the other side of our rooms. We were in the middle of two MAJOR construction projects. If the above weren’t enough, we were almost directly above the restaurant, which until 10:30 most evenings was the source of a very loud band. One evening we went down to the restaurant to dine, not realizing that the band was about to start, and found that we could not hear each other talk, at all. While on the subject of the restaurant, upon checking in, we were presented with a coupon book of discounts. Three of these (photos attached) were confusing, as they did not seem to apply to any of the menu items, so we asked our waiter for elucidation. He had never seen the coupons, and went for help from the manager. The manager, Carlos, came over to our table to inform us that we could order virtually any three items from the menu for $5 US dollars off each item. I then repeated this back to him, in front of my wife and friend, twice for clarification and confirmation. He affirmed my reiteration of his statements. We enjoyed a beef meal, a chicken meal, and a seafood meal. At the conclusion of our meals, we presented the coupons for credit. Our waiter again sought the manager who came over to us again, to inform us that the coupons would not apply to any of our meals. We were incredulous. Wi-Fi: When my friend and I stayed at El Cid Cozumel in 2015, Wi-Fi (poor) was provided in the lobby area. This time we were informed that Wi-Fi was provided throughout the hotel, but for only two devices per room. There were three of us! So my wife had Wi-Fi on her phone (but not on her computer), my friend had Wi-Fi on his computer (but not his phone), and I had NO Wi-Fi for my iPad or phone. As such, I was unable to send photos, texts, or email messages to our friends back home, unless I wanted to borrow my wife’s phone. Questo hotel si trova in un angolo nel vero centro di Cozumel. È una gioiello nascosto una volta che si passa attraverso le porte. Ogni persona che lavora là fuori si sposta dal loro modo di essere utile, amichevole e gentile. La colazione è molto divertente, soprattutto durante le piogge torrenziali. La zona della piscina è assolutamente affascinante. La mia stanza era pulita senza spot con un piano polverizzato. Ha un forte wifi e un frigorifero, grande AC e moderna bagno. Questo hotel è decorato in modo carino e si sente come essere nella casa di Abuela. Durante i taxi piogge torrenziali sono difficili da venire. Il personale si trovava fuori a battere un bastone per me. Se stai cercando campane e bell'aspetto da 5 stelle, guardate altrove. Se cerchi un hotel sicuro, affascinante, pulito e vicino all'aeroporto, scegliere questo hotel.

Initially, I hesitated to rate VLA 5 stars because I would not consider it a luxury hotel. The property is a bit old but well-maintained and attractive. Rooms are basic but clean and functional. We had a bit of an issue with tiny ants but I think you would find it difficult to find any place like this in Cozumel that did not. I also was put off initially by the booking process. All my communication was through What’s App and I was requested to make a deposit using PayPal to a personal account. I never received any booking confirmation by email. Not a typical reservation process but all was above board and check in was flawless. In the end, I rated five stars because of the value and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. David at the front desk made sure we were settled and had everything we needed. Drinking water? A five-gallon jug showed up in our room within the hour. Extra bed? Set up by check-in. Extra towels? Sure! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again as a cost-effective, comfortable alternative to the larger resorts.
