The owner needs training in customer relations. Very unfriendly, intolerant of children. It is not made clear that children are not welcome in a weekend when there is live music

Visiting Coventry? Stop looking for a Hotel, this is the one, stay here. Imagine a large prestigious hotel reduced in size somewhat but with the same standard of accommodation food and service and you have The Jacobean. Besides the quality they have an ethic here, they really put the effort in to ensure you have a good experience, you can see that from all the staff and because of that the Hotel is run very well and is a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay. Recommended

Just checked out from a 4 night stay to visit family with my wife, her daughter and granddaughter with us also. Booked the superior double with slipper bath in bedroom. Absolutely fantastic stay, breakfast was best I have had cooked to order and all quality ingredients. Also ate in the bar 10/10. The staff are great and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotless and located perfect for Birmingham airport and the beer garden is huge and just an added bonus. We sat in the the sun on Sunday afternoon in the garden, snacking, drinking and listening to live music. Will definitely be returning!!

The rooms are nothing like the pictures, they are old fashioned and dirty. I thought I was staying in a lovely, nice, modern hotel but it was horrible, dirty and stained. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful but the rooms were disgusting

Stayed for one night to attend a local wedding, and when we walked into our room, we were wowed by the gorgeous four-poster bed it looked like something out of a period drama. I half expected to find a crown on the pillow. Sadly, that’s where the fairy tale ended. The hallway and room smelled like they hadn’t seen fresh air since 1998 – musty, damp, and not in a charming “old world” way. After the wedding, we were ready to collapse into that royal-looking bed… only to discover the mattress had all the give of a granite countertop. Seriously, I’ve had softer naps on a park bench. Sleep? Barely happened. On the plus side, breakfast was lovely and the staff were genuinely friendly – so points for hospitality. If they ever upgrade the mattresses and invest in a dehumidifier, this place could be a real gem. Until then, it’s more “Sleeping Not” than “Sleeping Beauty.”

Great stay here the room was fabulous , it was spotlessly clean and there was tea & coffee facilities in the room , As well as a beautiful stand alone roll top bath !! The hotel was buzzing with people all there to enjoy the beer garden and brilliant artists who played over the weekend. Breakfast was scrummy full irish and the food menu for the bar and restaurant we're great cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly big hello to Debs on reception a fantastic warm welcome, and to Donna the owner nothing was to much trouble . Will definitely stay here again without a doubt .
