That includes service or support animals. No 3rd party bookings. The person booking, must be the person staying and the person that's name is on the account. The cottage is to the rear left of my property behind the main house where I reside. If you look at the aerial photo, you can see the proximity the cottage is to the house. It's about a 25 foot distance. It is very private though but for purposes of full disclosure, some outdoor spaces are visible from my ring cameras. For instance, my ring camera at my back door can pick up who enters the back yard and cottage but does not pick up images from inside the cottage or the private back patio to the cottage. I also have a ring camera on my front door that can see the driveway. That being said, you’re going to love the privacy and the location of this quaint cottage, tucked away smack dab between Wrightsville and Carolina Beach in the popular Masonboro section of Wilmington. For those unfamiliar with Wilmington, this area is not only very desired, but also very safe! The driveway is not paved and the path to the cottage is also unpaved but has concrete stepping stones that lead you to the cottage door. The middle space in the parking area is the designated space for the cottage. There is only one parking space designated for the cottage. If you have a friend or family member stop by for a visit, they will need to park in the street in front of my house. If you are interested in booking the cottage, please note: No parties or events. No smoking or vaping of anything inside cottage or patio room. No pets of any kind including service animals. Not suitable for children. Guests must be twenty one and older. Two guest max. Please do not remove any artwork from walls, including the nude woman pencil drawing in the bathroom. If the artwork in my home offends anyone, it is best they don't book a stay at the cottage.This 465sf Cozy Cottage comes with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Amenities also include washer and dryer, the full kitchen minus a dishwasher, Keurig for coffee, tea, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc... A small brick private patio off the back of the cottage has a table and two chairs, a lion fountain, and roses and flowers seasonally. Other outdoor spaces include the fire pit and the patio room. The fire pit and patio room are shared spaces but your back patio is all for you. Please note that there is no smoking or vaping of anything inside the patio room. All vaping and smoking must be done outside. The cottage has an open floor plan design with a queen size bed. There is also a small drop leaf table (that gets much larger), and two chairs that can be used for eating, a work space, or for playing board games on a rainy day. The large flat screen tv is a roku smart tv with streaming capability. Use the Spectrum App provided to access basic channels or use your own apps like Netflix, Prime, Hulu, HBO, etc... If you are looking for an authentic Wrightsville Beach experience, this is your place! Our family has owned this 1890 single family house since at least 1913. It still feels like an old fashioned cottage but has been updated to add WIFI and to provide year round comfort with central cooling and heating. We have four bedrooms and three baths plus a pullout sofa in one of the two living rooms. This place oozes with charm. Just sitting out on one of the two porches will bring you an amazing sense of serenity. We have generally rented only to friends but decided to expand to VRBO to let more people get a feel of old Wrightsville Beach with modern comforts. Our cottage is very close to Trailborne ( formerly known as the Blockade Runner) so water sports rentals are super easy. You can walk to the center of town and visit the Trolley Stop for a hot dog or Kohls for an ice cream cone or the Workshop for coffee. Go another block and buy your groceries at Robert's. Just thinking of those special places makes me smile. Wrightsville Beach is a special place and staying in our family's cottage will make your Wrightsville Beach experience even more incredible. Even closer to the best shopping areas in Wilmington and a short ride to historic downtown Wilmington and Riverwalk! Cafes, Coffee Shops, wine tasting are within a short walk/bike ride. Our neighborhood is a wonderful mix of UNCW college students, short and long term renters and home owners and it can be quite festive some evenings when UNCW is in session, late-Aug through mid-May. Extremely private and quiet most of the time, most of the year. We have house rules and strict hot-tub guidelines with additional fees for renters who do not observe.
