My husband and I just returned from our 12 day trip to Corsica and still cannot stop talking about how much we enjoyed this hotel. The location is awesome. We truly enjoyed being in the Vallee de la Restonica and not in the middle of Corte (which is a great town). We had an upstairs room with a balcony that faced the river/creek. It was as if we had our own waterfall. The bed was very comfortable. We took full advantage of the fridge. I also read one of the books they had on their bookshelf. The staff was very friendly and willing to provide us restaurant recommendations...we did Corsica sans a guidebook. We did try the restaurant across from the hotel and thought it was decent. We also ate at: U Valentinu (fantastic pizza/pasta and not too expensive) in the center of Corte, Au Plat d'Or (next door to U Valentinu), and Chez Cesar which is up the road from the hotel and serves local cuisine. We recommend all 3 of those restaurants. We had the breakfast each morning. 11 Euros is a lot for breakfast, but I found the breakfast to be one of the best ones we had in Corsica. The homemade cakes and quiches won me over.

I spent one night here on a recent business trip during the middle of October. The main hotel is modern with very well appointed rooms. I stayed in a first floor double room with balcony over looking the river. The bath room was very modern and the bed very comfortable.The hotel's terraced patio overlooks the river and had great charm in the evenings being lit by candle light. The main restaurant was in the old hotel building opposite, the 5 course evening meal was to a very high standard, there was even entertainment laid on by the hotel, provided by a local guitar trio. Breakfast was served in the new part of the hotel and was to a very good standard. There is a small bar area in the hotel and internet service is available next to reception. The backdrop of the Restonica Valley makes a great location for a great hotel. The hotel also offers an outdoor swimming pool which even in October looked inviting, but I was not brave enough to try. In all, a great quite place to stay.

We booked on line in January; stayed one night before returning to Poretta Airport from St Ciprianu: we drove up to Corti after dropping the kids off after the first week and were surprised by this beautiful charming hotel, recently refurbished. Very chic, very clean, very good helpful staff. No evening meal provided but in the vicinity of the Auberge de la Restonica where a superb evening meal is available. In a very picturesque location and the river was accessible and I am told, very safe to swim in, (unlike the River Cavu in South East of the island where there have been reported cases of schistosomiasis!)

Loved this tranquil spot just outside the historic center of Corte next to the river Restoncia. It was a bit of a splurge for us at 120 Euro per night for a standard double but worth it as the room and furnishings were beautiful and the bed and pillows oh so comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the history filled Corte and went for a challenging hike to the Lac du Melo and Lac de Capitellu lakes at the head of the valley. Also enjoyed a dinner at the Auberge next door and bought our own breakfast fixings and enjoyed our balcony and the sound of the river below.

Overall we really liked this hotel. We had a nice room with a great view. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed here end of April 2011 - off season for Corsica, so the place was quiet, and we thought it represented good value for money. We had a river view room with a balcony. The room was a reasonable size. The bedroom part was clean, tidy and well maintained, but the decor was dated (see pics); the bathroom part looked like it had just been refurbished, and was like I’d expect in a 5 star hotel. The thing that really made it was sitting on the balcony looking over the river. We had a nice meal at the restaurant next to the hotel. Breakfast was good too- continental, including meats and cheeses. Other points: the hotel had free wifi, and a swimming pool. Parking was no problem.

It is beyond my comprehension why this hotel is considered only 3 star. The service, the view, the rooms was perfect. Truly an incredible hotel. All the rooms have amazing views of the river, the cascade and the mountains

We stayed here 1 night at the beginning of a several-day walking trip. The location is fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful. Our first-floor room had a small patio and was just steps away from the beautiful river. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful. We walked into Corte to explore and had a great dinner at the restaurant next door. I heartily recommend.

A truly magical place, perfect setting, immaculate decor, not the usual traditional French Corsican style but a hotel that wins the prize for architecture, design and service. We came for three nights, not knowing that we were checking out on the very last day before it closed for the season. The staff are friendly and courteous. Thank you to the Priscilla and the team at reception and breakfast. The recommendations for dinner in Corte were just perfect. And I really enjoyed our stay everyone in the town was lovely and so friendly. We hired the electric mountain bikes for the day and rode up the valley Restonica to see where the bridge was washed away almost a year ago. Grest scenery and very few cars as it was the very end of the season. The hotel organised this for us seamlessly with just a days notice and the bikes were ready for us first thing the next day. The location is perfect as it is just at the entrance to the valley. And also good for hiking. If you love the great outdoors, peace and quiet and appreciate staying somewhere that would feature in Architectural digest and also loves kids this is it. It’s a gem.

If I could, I would give this six stars! This beautiful, luxurious hotel is a short way out of Corte. It has ample parking and the staff go out of their way to be welcoming. It feels very private. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the small gorge and stream that flowed by. The room was spotless and very quiet and comfortable. It was a short walk into town. The grounds are beautiful and the trees are colorfully lit up at night. There is a small bar that is well stocked. The whole experience made us feel pampered and comfortable. I highly recommend this special property!
