Palatul Brukenthal in Avrig is not just a stunning historical site with gorgeous gardens—it's also in a perfect location if you're looking to explore the beauty of the Făgăraș area or just disconnect and relax in nature. It’s peaceful, green, and feels like a hidden escape from the noise of daily life. But honestly, what made my stay truly special was Alex from the staff. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely interested in making sure we had the best experience possible. He gave us great tips about the area, helped us feel at home, and always greeted us with a smile. You can tell he cares about the place and the people who visit it.If you visit, make sure to take a walk through the gardens and chat with Alex—he’s a big part of what makes this place feel so special.

Captivated by the history of the Palace and its garden, often described as a “Transylvanian Eden,” I decided to visit it some time ago, and I’m glad to say it did not disappoint. The Brukenthal Palace is located in a quiet area in Avrig, Sibiu, surrounded by a vast garden that enhances the tranquility of the place while also adding to its beauty. The garden itself is an oasis of serenity, perfect for a picnic with loved ones or a solitary walk to reconnect with nature, making it easy to forget that you’re actually in a rather crowded city. I had the luck to see the Palace prepared for a wedding that was about to happen and it was ravishing, the perfect venue for a refined party. I also enjoyed the location's new pool, that is well cleaned and beautifully decorated, situated very close to the Palaces area. It’s a place you’ll surely fall in love with!
