Garryvoe Hotel

This was a fabulous location—across the street is the beach and a playground, and the ballycotton cliff walk is a ten minute drive. The building is old and cool—the library is a fun spot. You can imagine yourself back in the golden ages. The rooms are fine—spacious but the carpet is pretty beat up and very dirty. They should prob give some new carpets and clean the walls.

I recently stayed in garryvoe hotel with my 2 daughters for my youngest birthday. It is a fabulous hotel and we can't wait to go back. They even put a little suprise in the room for my you gest birthday. It really made her day! The view from our bedroom was breathtaking. My oldest is gluten free and he selection of brekfast for her was brilliant. Gluten free toaster, pastrys and a good selection of hot options too. The only negative we didn't get to try the pool as it was out of order so that was a bit disappointing but we can't wait to come back again.

My wife & I as well as our extended family & friends stayed in Garryvoe hotel on the occasion of our son's wedding. It was an outstanding weekend. I would like to commend the staff throughout our stay. The number of hotel staff serving food & drink during the wedding was exceptional. This avoided any delays which we have all experienced during other weddings elsewhere & leads to complaints. No such thing here. Everyone we spoke with complimented the food. The beef was just right & the hake was cooked beautifully. The rooms were outstanding....nice & large with great views of the sea. It was a great to start to our day to just open the curtains & look out at the ocean. One issue was that the heating was on full on in our room ( 204 ). I contacted reception & this was resolved quickly. There was a great variety within the hotel : the breakfast room near reception ; the library to simply relax or have a drink; the restaurant near the old entrance & the bar near that restaurant. I know that our son & his new wife as well as all the guests we spoke with were delighted with the whole weekend. This was very much due to the hotel amenities & staff. Thanks again to the hotel management & all the staff. My wife & I especially will look forward to traveling down at some stage in the future to remind us of a great weekend.

Would go again We got a great deal of two nights with one dinner in the hotel bistro. This was great deal, the breakfast and dinner were both great quality. The location of the hotel is also right beside the coast with great connections across eat Cork.

Beautiful hotel on the beach. From the minute we arrived at reception the service we got from Tracey was excellent. The food was beautiful and we got excellent professional service from Juan Rosa in the cave restaurant/bar. He did the hotel, himself and his family proud with his friendly demeanour nothing was too much for him. Our room was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean with magnificent views of the sea and Ballycotton lighthouse. We are already looking forward to a return visit

Lovley hotel and staff, however if you need to book a taxi make sure its done days before. We got stuck in the hotel with no way to the train station this was at a weekend naturally understand its not the hotels responsibility but it would have been nice to know in advance
