In the desirable Birch Hill section of North Conway This is an older “lived in” ski chalet that allows dogs, great for ski bums and families looking for a good value. This neighborhood borders the National Forest and is blessed with frequent, awesome wildlife sightings. Professionally cleaned with fresh linens and towels for guests. This is an older rustic chalet on a quiet side street where kids can play freely. Great for walking and bicycling.

Counter top: Four slice toaster, butcher knife set, basic tea pot, spices set, microwave, Nespresso Virtuo machine, Kurig machine, three large plastic serving plates
Upper cabinet to right of fridge: 12 basic dishes; 10 regular size bowls 4 four large bowls, one container of sea salt
Lower cabinet to right of fridge: Pots and pans for cooking
Silverware drawer to right of stove: 10 forks, butter knives, regular spoons, large spoons, steak knives, can opener, lighter, wine key,
Utensil drawer to right of stove: extra steak, knives, garlic press, butter knives, can opener, measuring spoons
Second utensil drawer to right of stove: Ladels, plastic, cooking utensils, spatulas,
Third utensil drawer to right of stove: kitchen towels, oven hand mitts, aluminum foil, plastic wrap.
Glasses cabinet above dishwasher: Six large, drinking glasses, six short, drinking glasses, four glass tea cups, four plastic tumblers, six coffee cups

Older glass door shower, linens kept in cabinet under sink

King bed with two nightstands, bureau, two large closets, large captain chair, bureau, 32 inch flatscreen smart TV, window air conditioner
Upstairs second bedroom:
Queen size bed, bureau, nightstand, window air conditioner;
Downstairs common area:
Western decor with rustic pallet bar, pool table, Steinway upright piano, large dehumidifier (drained to outside.)
Downstairs full bathroom:
Newer, standup shower, linens kept in small nightstand

Two trundle beds (four mattresses total), bureau, nightstand, children’s books/toys, 32 inch flatscreen TV, large oscillating fan, small vortex floor fan (please keep on during humid summer months for air circulation)

Exactly as advertised—just what we were looking for! Check-in was a breeze through VRBO messaging. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for preparing and enjoying a home-cooked meal for our group of nine adults. We loved the spacious, east-facing deck—ideal for morning sun, appetizers, dinners, or simply relaxing. It was also just a quick drive to Cathedral Ledge for a spectacular sunrise. The basement with its bar and pool table was nice, and the all hardwood/composite flooring was great for a pet-friendly stay. We never made it to the fire pit, which was well stocked with firewood for s’mores, but would love to return in cooler weather for another chance.

I don't believe "rustic" is a good description for this property.
The outdoors is very unkempt - and overgrown. This is not a place I would let children play outdoors - very little space. I think there are other rentals in the area because some of the neighborhood yards looked the same as this - not very inviting. Lots of ticks due to overgrown grass, bushes, etc. We had a hard time locating the towels - and there is not much provided in the way of incidentals. There was no hand soap in the bathrooms. Lots of broken things - lights with non-working bulbs, etc. A HUGE tv that took up lots of space and made the living room hard to maneuver in. Kitchen was lacking. This is not a good place for families with small children. We never got the code to the lock texted or emailed to us - I had to text then call the host. He thought we were coming the next day. He was very nice and got things straightened out soon after 4:00. We did text about not finding any towels and were told to keep looking. We found a few - fortunately, we brought our own towels "just in case." No salt, no pepper, no coffee and even though it had probably been cleaned recently, the inside matched the outside - didn't feel very clean. This is a good for a place to lay your head, but it could use a good cleaning (scrubbing), the yard could use some mowing and trimming, and lots of small things inside the house need repair.

This was my first Verbo experience and it didn’t disappoint. The description matched the home and it was exactly what I was hoping for. I’m from NH and moved to FL several years ago. I’ve missed all that NH has to offer. My family and I had an amazing time!!

Great Stay
The rustic chalet in Conway was just as described. Not too fancy but very clean. It had a well-stocked kitchen for preparing meals, games & toys for the kids and was very cozy. We had 7 adults and 3 young children in our party and had plenty of space. A very convenient location near cathedral ledge and a short drive to downtown north conway. Our host was very quick to respond to all communications. We would definitely return

Great Stay
The house was great. Clean, plenty of room and affordable. The Pool Table was a lot of fun too! Glenn (the owner) was very responsive and generous....I really appreciated him. The location was great too...good neighborhood and close to downtown. Would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful snowy weekend in NH!
Location and neighborhood were great. The layout of the house was perfect for two families with kids. Plenty of room to spread out. Close to town and multiple mountains.

Beautiful Cozy Home
My family had the best time this week! The house was very clean, and had all the amenities of home with a rustic, mountain feel. The owner was extremely responsive and we didn’t want for anything the entire stay. Definitely recommend!
