The Last Word Constantia

From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave everything and everyone is perfect. Our room (number 4) was enormous. It is basically one very large room with a lounge area and then the bedroom area and then the bathroom with a sliding door so it can be shut off. There are doors opening onto the garden and swimming pool. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is plenty of choice for breakfast with anything cooked freshly prepared. In summary a fantastic place to stay.

Great Boutique Hotel, very comfortable and felt very well looked after. This Hotel gives you easy access to anywhere you want go but is also situated a little way out so you are not bang in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Staff were very helpful and even when a problem was encountered (thru no ones fault) it was attended to immediately and resolved very quickly. Unfortunately we found we had no hot water on arrival but as soon as reported the service people were called in and they offered to move us if a resolution was not found immediately. The room, well rather the Suite was so spacious! Everything was open plan but there was a folding divider that could be pulled across if you wanted. The main area had underfloor heating and disposable slippers were provided for the bathroom area which did not. Bottled water was provided by the bedside and toiletries included were of a high standard and there were also doors opening to the outside area. Lovely gardens to wander thru or sit beside the pool. Breakfast was served in a lovely light room overlooking the gardens and the old provided was again to a very high standard. Each afternoon one could sit in the lounge area to enjoy afternoon Tea and Cakes. A very extensive Honour Bar was also available in the lounge. Negatives: The TV in the Bedroom was very very old , looked like one of the original thick LED TV's and one would expect, for a hotel of this standard, for it to be a smart TV that you could connect your own devices or streaming accounts to but they only had an attached satellite device and the reception was not the best. The whole hotel does look rather "tired" in places with cracked floor tiles and cracks in ceilings and walls but one can be forgiving of this and consider it to give more of a "shabby Chic" appearance than anything else and all the other lovely features do tend to counter this. It would not put me off from returning.

Our stay at the Last Word Constantia was truly exceptional, and one of the standout aspects was the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and well taken care of. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to ensure our stay was perfect. The staff went above and beyond – offering local recommendations, assisting with any questions promptly, and always greeting us with a smile. Can only support every positive review on here as it really is that good, the staff are brilliant, the rooms huge, the lounge just lovely and probably the best breakfast of any hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere. Struggling to say more, we only stayed one night as we were using it for a hire car drop off for a road trip from Cape Town airport which it was perfect for. Highly recommend and would happily return to stay longer. We enjoyed a visit to the word famous Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens which are very nearby and an evening meal at a local vineyard which the hotel recommended and booked for us all very easy by uber.

Highly recommended boutique hotel in Constantia The accommodation is luxurious and beautiful. We certainly felt pampered and welcome. The special touches are numerous and the staff members are clearly trained to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Breakfast was extensive, served with a view of the lush garden which is filled with tropical plants and trees. Plants and greenery are found throughout the hotel which makes for a wonderful feel. The only minor issue was the non functioning TV, which they we aware of, but the technical support staff member was not available to attend to it during our stay.
