My husband checked in at Dongola Guesthouse and he felt unwelcome as if they were doing him a favor. He stayed in the Best Exotic Marigold Room, photos are deceiving. You are not made to feel welcome, the first key didn’t work, difficult to find any staff to help. No bottled water in the rooms, you want water, you need to go to the main house and sign for a bottle of water (Plastic bottles). You don’t have the full bath room supplies, no body lotion. There were only towels for my husband. He tried to cellphone numbers on the cards, which did not work. I only got my towels on Sunday morning after my husband had left a written message at reception. When we made the booking, I had said that we were coming to celebrate our wedding anniversary, this was not even acknowledged by the manageress or the owner. Even if the weather had been good, it would not have been possible to use the “patio” as the doors were swollen. When my husband arrived on Friday night, all the windows were open, no turn down and no lights on. The TV is so old, so the rooms are not kept updated for the price you pay. Dongola Guest house is expensive for what you get, which is very sad.
