Sunprime Atlantic View Suite & Spa

We stayed here for a 10 day all inclusive holiday, March/April. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the hotel. It has a bright, airy reception area and this followed round to the bar, seating area and then the restaurant. The room wasn’t as luxurious as we expected but was bright, modern and had everything we needed. We had not stayed in an adult only hotel before but definitely would again. When sat by the pool it was relaxing and peaceful with soft calming music and plenty of sun loungers. There were plenty of umbrellas for shade and an area for smokers. The onsite shop/cafe was great, with plenty of water on tap and in bottles. We spent most days outside, reading by the pool and felt very comfortable and relaxed. The food was great, with plenty of choice. I opted for a bigger breakfast and then evening meal each day. We sat in the bar/seating area most evenings playing cards and listening to the live singers they had each night. We did find this a bit repetitive as they all sang the same songs in the same style but was catered more to the older guests. We actually felt very young but it was a pleasant atmosphere - we hadn’t realised until we arrived most guests were Dutch and Swedish. We did chat with a few and all were very friendly. What absolutely made this hotel is the staff. Wow! Each and every one we encountered was polite, friendly and relaxed. They clearly enjoy working there and it really does show! They are an absolute credit and I’d return just for them! They were incredibly hard working but always had a smile on their faces, from the room attendants, restaurant staff, lifeguards, cafe/shop & bar staff and reception staff we were made to feel relaxed and at ease. I would definitely love to stay here again!!

Hotel was so good that my husband and myself are returning in May. We had a lovely room with a pool view and was on the 2nd floor which i requested when booking . Hope we get that room again. Lovely walk in shower room which we loved as my husband has mobility issues and 3 pools one which is heated, a spa and a gym also. Food is good too. There is also a free shuttle which takes you to the beach at Maspalomas. Cant wait to return soon .

We visit the canaries a few times a year but this was our first visit to sunprime. It's a lovely hotel but not without its *******. Plus points within the hotel are that it looks lovely, very clean, neat design. The rooms are large, our room overlooked one of the pools from the 2nd floor which had a lovely view. The room could do with a minor update but it's well laid out, has everything you need and very relaxing space including the comfortable bed. We stayed bed and breakfast and the food was lovely along with the eating space, it never got too busy and the quality of food was excellent. The mini market also stocks a few nice bits. The hotel also has a few nice touches, free glass of bubbles when you arrive, the safe is free (most hotels charge), pool towels are free (most hotels charge), the room has an iron (for free). The pool area is very clam and relaxing, the outside space has areas around three different pools. The pools are heated which is lovely! The staff in the hotel are great! Really friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a great location. Minor ******* tho did occur during out stay. We were woken up most days by tree or Bush cutting at the front of the hotel from about 8am. We stay out late so this was far from ideal so a sleep in only happened on Saturday (no trimming on a Saturday maybe). This wasn't helped as our bathroom window wouldn't fully close. The microwave combi oven in the room has no instructions and we had no idea how to use it. There is no where near enough sunbeds. On two occasions we gave up and went out for the day. While they don't let you reserve beds that fact is there just isn't enough based on the hotel size. Lots of people were complaining and staff brought out some more beds but they just need more out each day. This element really let's the hotel down! Finally the smoking area is really badly placed. I don't smoke nor like smoke but the smoking area is the area when you first arrive at the pool so everyone has to walk past it. Seems a odd location as means you walk past it a few times a day. All considered, would stay again if I wasn't planning just a pool holiday based on the lack of beds.

Leaving the sunprime today 2nd November. This is our second time at this hotel and still think it’s a fabulous hotel. I will address the complaints from previous recent reviews which was mainly the air conditioning. In your hotel room it’s excellent no complaints. In the restaurant also I feel it’s nice and cool and comfortable. In the bar of an evening it is warm but did not spoil our experience at all. As for lilos in the pool the hotel is so chilled it would not fit in with the vibe it’s aiming for. The food is excellent and lots of choice and the drinks on the all inclusive are very good. You definitely feel like you have drank. The red wine is fabulous also. Our room was lovely and clean and roomy. The staff make the hotel. All so friendly but the staff at the bar of an evening are outstanding. There was a mix of ages here but agree overall it’s over 60,s. If your looking to chill out and relax this is hotel for you. Entertainment is on 5 out of 7 nights and it’s a duo or single singer doing laid back stuff like Neil diamond. People did get up and dance. All in all we have had another amazing time here thank you.

We went self catering and was totally perfect for us. Room spacious and lovely and clean. I took extra coat hangers (you really don't need too there was loads) loads of wardrobe space and drawer space. Lovely bathroom and shower was amazing. No toaster but we managed. Arrived late at night and there was a bottle of water in fridge and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. They have a no reserve policy for sunbeds before 9 but you could get a sunbed anytime of day. Can of san Miguel in shop next to pool only 1.20 euros. Pools lovely (3 of them) spa shop literally next to hotel. Got the free bus to beach twice. Highly recommended. 7.50 euros for umbrella and 2 beds foe the day. No air conditioning in main hotel which we heard lots of complaints about but as we were self catering didn't matter. Air con in room was fine. We ate out at a few lovely restaurants. The Thai at the end of the road would highly recommend. Sa-Wa-Dee Oh free safe in room also. All in all a fantastic week away also was having a heatwave 😀

#14 stay. We just love this hotel, that's why we keep coming back. From the moment we enter the reception to we leave again, we get the best service from all. Food is great and varied. We are looking forward to #15 stay with aircon in restaurant and bar. One one minus. Where did the hotdogs and burgers for lunch go ?

Despite what upi may read, this is no 5* hotel. I've put it as a 3* rating when a 3.5 would be more accurate, I don't feel it's 4* (very good). It's more like a 'good, but ...'. Firstly the positives. The breakfast is pretty decent. The roo.s are nice. We had a suite, which isnideal.for a 10 day stay. Plenty of sunbeds also. The staff are all super nice, friendly and polite as well. Now the negatives. There is NO air conditioning in the restaurant, bar or reception area which means when it's hot outside, it's like a greenhouse inside and super uncomfortable and sweaty. They really need to invest in that. The rooms do have air conditioning but it's at. Est, adequate. Next is there's NO pool bar, so you've to go to the supermarket to buy a drink or get a free drink (if all inclusive). It's in a decent location ... just a 15 minute walk to the Yumbo Centre. It's very LGBTQPIA+ friendly if that suits your needs too. We were glad we were just B&B so we could have a meal in an air conditioned environment if we chose. When the hotel restaurant is full, busy, its quite uncomfortable if you don't like too much heat all the time. I'm pleased we stayed, but wouldn't return unless they addressed the lack of ac.

Great friendly service, especially Ana and the reception staff, Cristobal and the staff in the bar, and all the staff in the restaurant. Snacks available in the shop along with cold drinks and snacks. The entertainment was passable, if perhaps a little dated. My wife enjoyed the pool aerobics sessions too (they are very popular). The rooms are spacious and always clean and tidy, with bed linen changed regularly. Sadly, when we tried to book our winter break for November 24 this hotel is no longer available on the jet2 site. We will miss this place and the staff there.
