Cambria Hotel Columbus - Polaris

Four(4) nights for one person in a room with king bed was around $430.00 This used to be my favorite place to stay in Columbus. It has declined. My score is more of a comparison to what is used to be. Room and common areas were very clean. Carpet and tile passed my white-sock test with 8+. Pool and gym were OK but need a bit of TLC. The disappointment compared to my last stay (2019) was so great, I booked a different hotel for the remainder of my stay in Columbus. By itself, this hotel is 7.5/10. Compared to similar area hotels (and itself from 5yrs ago), it barely makes 6/10. For around $125/night, I stayed at the hotel next door. It was head and shoulders above Cambria. Its review will post in a few days. Breakfast (included) is plated (as in, not a buffet) and offers a modest amount of choice. It's supposed to start at 6:30am. On this one day, the breakfast cook did not arrival until after 7am. Unsure if that was a one-off or common occurrence. I did not have time to wait. Easy on/off I-71. Lots of shopping, dining within one mile.

I was so very disappointed in this place. For the money paid it was nothing special and the reason we chose it was the pool and jacuzzi. The pool area was closed, they knew this when I called asking for certain things to help with my sister, as she is seriously ill and struggles to breathe. Upon check in when seeing the sign, I asked why didn’t they didn’t tell me when I called that the pool was closed? I requested ground floor handicapped room, hopefully near the elevator. They said no notes for that were showing First room 4th floor, opposite end of hotel. When we got in the room it was dirty and looked like someone was still staying in it I had to leave her in the hot room so I could go get another room. So then the next room, 3rd floor, 3 long hallways to the elevator‍♀️ I asked to speak with the manager. I was told there was not one on duty and they would contact me tomorrow. Tomorrow never came apparently, never got to talk to one the whole time. This is listed as a nice hotel and it’s pricy. It’s outdated, not what it was in its original build for sure. Breakfast is an additional $13, no matter what it says. I saw it, no thanks. They also don’t serve it every day and not a restaurant as advertised, just breakfast. I can’t express how upset we were. We concentrated on our time and not the hotel. Didn’t want to get into squabbles, came to make memories with my each other while we can. This hotel was not a pleasant memory Stained bedding, ripped curtains, community toiletries Don’t believe the ads or reviews, don’t bother. There are less expensive hotels right across the parking lot. Save the hassle and money and book elsewhere is my suggestion

We booked the hotel,asked for room close together or joining rooms. Was told it would be done. Checked in after 3:00pm one room was ready and was told they would call when the 2nd room was ready. They put our 2nd room on a totally different floor. Was told breakfast was included only to find out it was not and the pool was not heated. The only nice part of the hotel is the bathroom. I would never stay here again. The staff was cordial.

Good guest services, comfortable bed. Everything seemed clean. Room was quiet. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Plenty of well lit parking. We did not indulge in bar, food or pool so cannot comment. We would stay at this location again.

Very nice boutique hotel with all the amenities plus some. It lost a star because of the attitude of the front desk upon arrival and the toast and juice for breakfast??? Did have two TVs in the room and actually had hangers in the closet but then again I did have a suite.

Easy check in and we stayed in a suite with two queen beds and sofa bed. Room had two tvs, mini fridge and microwave. I would definitely recommend this type of room to families. The area is quiete and there were no loud noises after check in. Unfortunately , no free breakfast at all during our stay.
