The Broadmoor

This was on our hotel bucket list. It has now made our top 10 list. The hotel is beautifully maintained, does not feel old or stuffy at all. Every where you look is pure luxury, all very tasteful. We had a standard room which was large with a nice view. I would choose a lake view if I was booking again though. The grounds are stunningly beautiful and so well maintained. Flowers everywhere! The spa is outstanding, the golf course is gorgeous, the pool a wonder. Benches and rocking chairs abound just to sit and enjoy the view. Service throughout is impeccable. We were greeted by each and every employee we encountered. The concierge is pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping is excellent. Valet is prompt. Room service was top notch. Overall 5 star staff. There is plenty to do on the grounds. There is a sports bar/bowling alley. Paddle boats on the lake are included in your stay and the pool is huge. The hotel shuttle will take you to Seven Falls which is a nice stroll up a mountain and then a strenuous stair climb to the top of the falls if you are so inclined.. If you are looking for a top of the line hotel, this is it. We highly recommend.

We had a wonderful visit to the Ranch at Emerald Valley! It was glamping at its best. All the activities we love to do as a family in the outdoors (fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, canoeing, archery, horseshoes) but with gourmet food and a beautiful cabin. We took our two elementary-school-aged children with us and though they were the only kids there they still had a great time. We stayed in the Copper Cabin, which I'd highly recommend. It was a short walk down to the hot tubs and we loved having a fire in the gazebo at night. Really can't say anything bad about our experience except that having to arrive by shuttle is a bit limiting as far as area explorations but that was really the only drawback. They offer guided hiking tours and other options so there are plenty of ways to get out and explore. If you're a person who needs non-stop action, this is not the place for you. But if you want a beautiful retreat to relax and enjoy nature or bond as a family, then this is an experience you will never forget.

Excellent place for dogs which we seek out. Full but large convention made most of resort quiet and peaceful. We didn’t eat at any restaurants since won’t allow dogs, very expensive and dress code. When on vacation we don’t feel like dressing up with fancy clothes so ordered out. Wish they had 1 casual place to eat. Pool was great, staff nice and rooms great. I loved to walk around and look at all the art, historic pictures etc. free shuttle to 7 falls hike. Expensive but was very nice.

The Broadmoor is a wonderful old hotel located about 3 miles from Colorado Springs and about 90 min from Denver airport. It is very nice hotel and the grounds are amazing. The lake and surrounds are stunning. The golf amazing as is the food and multiple bars.

First class service - unless something goes wrong! The experience doesn't much matter if the ending was horrible. We had a wonderful time at the hotel over 3 nights/4 days. As you can imagine, we spent a ton of money as the resort prices are very "Disney" in nature, but we were happy to do it because the service was great. However, when the valet returned our rental car for our departure to the Denver airport, the entire windshield was severely damaged. We immediately notified security and filed a claim with the very nice security representative who said they would review footage and get back to us. He also reassured us "the hotel just usually takes care of stuff like this." After a month, I followed up and received a call from a lady stating she was the General Manager to finalize the claim - and her demeanor and response was shocking. Despite her review of video footage showcasing a perfect windshield upon our arrival, and that surveillance camera footage revealing a destroyed windshield upon valet return, she indicated that "windshield damage isn't our responsibility." She further went on to say that she did see the footage showing a perfect car upon arrival and a significantly damaged windshield upon valet return, and that she also knows we didn't touch it for our entire stay, but "it isn't their problem." I requested the footage to see what happened to the windshield, and she said, "That's proprietary." I requested a call from the Vice President but obviously haven't heard back, and I won't. I wouldn't have heard back at all unless I called to follow up in the first place. The rudeness and disregard after I was no longer a paying guest was disgusting. The whole process was very subjective and felt criminal, to be honest. They know I will not hire an attorney or push it further; after all, it's only a $600 or so bill, but they should be ashamed of their conduct. This hotel was on a business rotation for our 50-60-person board of directors' annual meeting, but I will share this experience with the meeting organizer to help ensure the treatment of their guests in these types of situations is well known. I will NEVER use or refer them again, for business or otherwise. Keep this in mind when booking.

This hotel surpassed every expectation and we were totally blown away. Plan to return yearly to enjoy the spoils of all that is Broadmoor ❤️ We were greeted by the friendliness of staff who sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne when they found out we were celebrating our anniversary. Staff were quick to help and rose far above in their service. The artwork in this hotel is second to none! Julie’s coffee shop has the most amazing desserts...very difficult to choose. Simply can not say enough good things about our stay at the Broadmoor.

I've been to many 5 star hotels all over the world. The Broadmoor is very beautiful as you would expect. The problem is you walk away feeling you've been nickel and dimed at every turn. You expect everything to be priced at "resort" pricing. I get that, but even the "grab and go" coffee and tea is an additional 10% service charge. Restaurant dining is a 20% service charge. Room service is 24% plus $6 delivery plus tip. Daily "resort charge" is another $42. My room was average at $805.00. It's not the guests job to directly pay the staff. Definitely, not left with a good feeling being nickel and dimed. The restaurant Ristorante Del Lago delivered one of our entrees under cooked and cold. We asked them to try again and they did. More importantly they missed the opportunity to comp a desert, glass of wine or comp that particular entrée. Again, you walk away with a less impressive experience. Too many things not right, so I can't recommend this hotel.

Of all the hotels that my wife and I have been fortunate enough to stay at (including Disney's Grand Floridian, The Four Seasons in Las Vegas and the Inn at Harbour Town), the Broadmoor was the BEST experience in ALL categories - room, hospitality and amenities! We had coffee each morning on our balcony cafe while looking out over the lake and mountains in the background; took a dip in the temperature-controlled infinity pool (84 degrees) each afternoon and enjoyed several great meals at the resort restaurants. Can't say enough about the place - well exceeded our expectations!!!!!

The staff is amazing! We stayed at the Cloud Camp and it was a mixture of adventure and luxury. The view in the daytime is only surpassed by the view at night. Kurt and his crew take care of everything and even were able to handle special requests. The experience of staying overnight at 9000 plus feet above sea level will never be forgotten.
