"Had a 2 night stay here in May. The hotel is a few minutes walk from ferry terminal. The check in was easy and I was shown to my room. The staff were all friendly and acted in a professional manner. The restuarant was pleasant and the food good. as was the breakfast. The only complaint I had was that the toilet had not been flushed properly after the previous occupant had used it."

"Che hotel fantastico. Il momento in cui sono arrivato mi sentivo come se fossi andato in un sogno sereno! L'hotel è situato in splendidi giardini con grandi viste sul mare e sull'Abbazia. Il personale era utile e amichevole, le camere si scioglievano incredibili e avevano una bella vista, e il letto era uno dei più confortevoli che abbia mai dormito. Iona stessa è un trattamento, soprattutto dopo le ultime vacanze di traghetto e riposati tranquilli! Ho avuto un gin e un tonico con il gin giardino degli hotel che era delizioso, goduto nel salone solare guardando attraverso i giardini al mare. La colazione era bella. Certo sarò tornato. Mi sentivo come se fossi andato via per giorni piuttosto che solo una notte."

"We have been visiting Mull for several years now and always stay in the Pennyghael area. The Port nan Ghael hotel bar always has a warm welcome whenever we visit. Good food, decent beer, excellent whisky! Whether we are eating, just popping in for a drink, or sitting outside watching the sunset over the loch, this place really does make you feel at home. The staff are excellent. Very friendly and efficient, and nothing is too much trouble. The young lass ( sorry we never got your name) was particularly lovely. Always very cheerful, helpful and smiley, she is exactly the sort of person that you need front of house. Outstanding! ( maybe its your morning swims in the loch that give you that energy 😉) No doubt we will visit again on our next visit to this beautiful island."
