Residence on Park Street

At the epicenter of Colombo, between Slave Island, Galle green and Viharamahadevi Park, the Residence manages to remain tucked away from the city clamor around its century-old inner pavillion. What could have ended up a members-only address reveals a canvas for harmony of volumes, elements and above all personalised hospitality. Depending on the time or temperature of the day: private patio, pool side, terrace restaurant or cocktails bar each offer a quaint, timeless elegant framework for carpe diem. But the charm of the place wouldn't reveal without the dedication of the whole team, from housekeeping to restaurant to front of house. Silva at the front desk facilitated a last minute reservation for what turned out an ideal urban stay at the heart of Colombo. Not only he alleviated the online booking intricacies but ensured a constant availability throughout. Rarely service is provided with such genuine involvement and flexibility.

I hosted high tea for 12 ladies on 18 August . We expected to be in the main restaurant with the view but got dumped at the back in the hot area. It was too late to change.. however staff previously accommodating, the food was good. But missed being in the room with the view, empty restaurant ! I think the staff could not be bothered tidying up after us because they were expecting people for dinner . There was no one else for afternoon tea they should have done better by giving us some more pleasant ambience which was available if they hadtaken the trouble. The food was reasonable and there was plenty. Price was high at Rs 4298 per head. I am courage to be more generous in accommodating people in the main restaurant when it’s a large group so they can enjoy the view. and the ambience of UGA. I do not wish to be in generous so a score of 4 only, rather than 3 whereas I would have given 5

Very lovely, charming little boutique hotel. Welcome drinks, and efficient service. Silva was attentive and warm. Dinner was lovely. Will definitely return the next time as the location of the hotel is Strategic as well. All the staff were great!

Uga residence was the perfect place to relax for a few days in Colombo after our tour of Sri Lanka. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the facilities are good. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and we enjoyed the breakfast. Would stay again if coming back to Colombo.

Absolutely beautiful, an oasis in the city away from the hub. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. The food is just incredible and fantastic value and the rooms and incredibly generous and comfortable! We would highly recommend it and we are missing it already!

The efficient use of space to create spacious rooms is always a plus, friendly and efficient front-of-house team and the great food, especially a sumptuous breakfast, certainly set the tone for a relaxing stay. Being located in the city with easy access to nearby restaurants and a lively atmosphere seems perfect for exploring. The long pool also sounds ideal for those who love to swim properly, not just dip their toes.It seems like a great place to stay in Colombo! Would recommend it to others visiting the city?

Wonderful relaxing stay after a 3 week road trip of Sri Lanka. Beautiful airy suites, nice bar and restaurant. Great location and fabulous service.. A lovely Place to finish our Sri Lankan experience. Would highly recommend to any travellers coming through Colombo!!

Recently had a wonderful experience at this property which I chose for my proposal. The regal elegance combined with its unmatched ambiance truly make this venue unlike any other in Colombo. The staff were very accommodating and helpful to my every need in organizing this as a surprise. I must specially mention their amazing event coordinator Shenars, she went out of her way to ensure everything happened smoothly and even took on the role of my secret photographer. Truly made us feel well looked after. Thank you Shenars and thank you Rare by Uga, you made this important night extra special. 11/10 from me for a job well done!

Excellent property. Home away from home . Boutique luxury . Pool side and room size are excellent. Staff is courteous. Thank me later for this. Breakfast is v good and is alacarre. Park street is 100 m away with live bands and bars. Uga properties are excellent.
