The Plough B&B

Had a breakfast and Evening meal at the plough whilst stopping nearby for the Cheltenham festival & everything was lovely, from food to service, there is a good selection of beers,we hope to be able to stay here next time and explore more of the area.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Plough in Cold Aston for a walking break in the Cotswolds. Great location for walking and visiting Bourton on the Water and the other picturesque towns of this area. The Plough is a charming country pub in a beautiful little village. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and the room has everything you'd need for a short stay. We had a lovely big bed, crisp white linen and the room was spotlessly clean. It was very cosy and the heating worked effectively to ensure it stayed that way as we were greeted with snow during our stay! Although the pub and restaurant weren't open on the 2 nights we stayed Ovi the manager was very friendly and he cooked a superb breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to return for another visit.

Upon our late arrival, we self-checked into our Grade 2 listed room containing oodles of character and charm. It is furnished with a comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom and coffee/tea station. After a comfortable nights sleep, we awoke cured of our jet-lag and ready for a day of exploring in the quaint, charming town of Bourton-on-the-Water, the "Venice of the Cotswolds". We were warmly greeted in the charming dining room and enjoyed a flavourful Full English breakfast consisting of sausage, egg, bacon, tomato, fried mushroom, baked beans, toast, fresh orange juice and a choice of tea or coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the characterful Plough Inn and to be high value for money. There is so much to see and do in the Cotswold area and worthy of many return trips. Without hesitancy, we look forward to staying at the Plough Inn again in the near future when we can enjoy the pub and restaurant fare, which was closed during our stay.

We stayed at the hotel for our anniversary break. There are only a few rooms here our one was clean the carpet could do with a decent clean apart from that it was just great. The restaurant is slightly expensive but that was offset by the bar price.

We stayed here recently on a flying visit to the cotswolds, after a few hours walking & a trip to bourton on the water. We had dinner & were given a lovely cosy table in the bar (they even had dog beds available!) - the menu had options from burgers & steak through to fine dining fish dishes, and everything was really well cooked. Good selection of drinks (beers, cider & cocktails) and the service was brilliant, there weren't many staff being a small pub but they took really good care of us. The rooms were very traditional - cosy, cotswoldy types with low beams. I would say the bed (ours at least) wasn't that comfortable, the mattress seemed old & also the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly - the heating was also on max when we got there & couldn't turn it off in the bathroom (although we didn't ask for any help with this so can't complain as they may have been able to fix it!). Our American friends absolutely LOVED it because it really is a charming place, and it definitely was overall a lovely stay.

Room very small. Wi-fi rubbish. No hairdryer in room which when paying £130 a night you would expect. Apparently hair dryers have been stolen so why have they not been replaced?Nice location although parking is on the road. Cups too small for coffee machine but they dont do mugs!
