Really badly run hotel, At first they could not find my booking then they checked me out when I clearly stated I had a second booking, my keys got deactivated had to wait outside for nearly 20 mins before they sent new ones, breakfast is horribly bad with flies all over the pastries, croissants hard as a rock even the Executive Chef had to come and prepare 2 basic fried eggs sunny side up soft on top as the other staff could only deliver half cooked eggs simply not good enough I would not recommend this hotel

Novotel hotel management should renovate rooms as soon as possible, it’s looking very old , I think they haven’t change their interior from last 20-25 years, running their hotel with same old interior,Rooms doesn’t give feel of Five star property. We had an excellent stay at the hotel made all the more special by the Guest manager Ruby!! We had a very smooth check-in and got a complementary upgrade. My daughters were ecstatic with the room near the beach! The property is pristine, the beach access is great and safe, food was excellent, the service fast and thorough..what more can you ask for! Also a special word for Joy from the housekeeping staff who did towel elephants and tortoise for the kids..not once but twice!! Such an amazing team, well done Novotel Dona Sylvia!! You have now a connoisseur for life.

The staff were lovely and the grounds were immaculate. There are only 30 rooms available for Tui, as they do not make any profit for holidays and that means their revenue streams are from Indian weddings and major conferences. While we were there there were 2 consecutive weddings and a Tata conference for a few days. This meant that there was no room in the dining room for breakfast while they were there. We were all inclusive but there were 5 cocktails available but none of the normal drinks you would want while on holiday. The bar closed at 10.30 meaning if you came back to the hotel and wanted a night cap you were out of luck. There was a bar terrace (outside) but you couldn’t smoke there and had to go to the next floor where at the top of the stairs in a four foot square space was a table with an ash tray!! They told me to take my drinks back to my room if I wanted to smoke. The food outside the hotel was exceptionally good and the beach shacks were brilliant but in the hotel the food was very poor and did not offer what all the restaurants did just a range of bland curry’s no tikka, tandoori or any know recipes that everyone else offered.

We had the pleasure of spending three weeks at this lovely hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing and we would rate them as 5* plus. Nothing was too much trouble and they were a delight to get to know. The accommodation is mostly on two levels and we were lucky enough to have an upper level room. Once again the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Although rated 5* it was rated 3.5* by TUI. We thought it was a 4* property. The food appeared to have an orientation towards the Indian visitor and this was supported by the numerous curries and very sweet desserts. Having said that there was plenty of choice for the European visitor. The only negative was the absence of any fresh decaffeinated coffee which was the same when we visited North India. Maybe the hotel will rectify this when they carry out later alterations to the dining area facilities. The hotel is set out over many any acres and has direct access to the beach where there are a number of shacks which vi for your business. The hotel grounds are very well laid out and very attractive, and once again all the staff want to communicate with the visitors as they wander through the property. The hotel attracts many wedding events from different religious groups and the events are very colourful and vibrant. Although quite loud the weddings welcome other visitors who wish to stop and engage. As a result of the weddings there can be a large sudden influx of participants who stay for short periods of time. The hotel also allows cooperate events and these can be very loud even though they are held on the lawn area. These we found disturbing. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this hotel so much so that we are returning next year
