Hotel in catena molto di base - notate ci sono vecchie camere e nuove camere per l'hotel a Coimbra. Le foto elencate mostrano le nuove camere, ma ci sono state date la vecchia camera che era super datata. Neanche il telecomando remoto per la TV non funzionava. La nuova camera è stata richiesta e grazie a una stanza è disponibile per l'ispezione immediata. A quanto pare solo 5 su 90 stanze sono riqualificate? Solo il personale della reception può parlare inglese. La posizione è stata di circa 10 minuti a piedi dal centro della città e 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria Coimbra-B via Uber.

This hotel has a really modern vibe which makes it contrast from the old city. I stayed as part of a tour group. The hotel is located near the river and within walking distance to restaurants. There were three issues with my room. The air conditioning controls did not allow you to change the temperature. The up-and-down arrows did nothing. Other members of my group had the same issue. It was too cold. If you left it on - it was very cold. I had to completely turn it off and so did others in my tour group. Also, my TV remote did not work. And lastly my safe would not work (no lights came on when buttons pressed). There was a very good hairdryer, and a make up mirror. Nice towels. The bed was comfy. The view was just of another building but it was quiet and I slept well. The room was clean. There was a refrigerator and coffeemaker in the room. I couldn’t find an indoor stairwell, so I always had to take the elevator. There is a small gym with weights and cardio. The outdoor pool was too cold during my visit. Wi-Fi worked well. The breakfast had tremendous variety. For one or two nights, this hotel would be OK.

L'hotel è vicino alla spiaggia . La camera è grande e pulita. Il colazione è molto buono. Il supermercato è alla porta accanto. La città di Siti vicino a Nazarene è sulle roccia. Le viste sono molto belle e guarda la spiaggia e la città. Vale la pena la visita. Il parcheggio sul cimitero è limitato, ma se ci vai presto, è ancora possibile trovare un posto per parcheggiare. Il ricevitore è molto buono e utile. Sono arrivato all'hotel la sera, ho trovato un pneumatico piatto.Il giovane che lavorava al divano mi ha aiutato a chiamare la compagnia di noleggio auto per risolvere il problema. Raccomando questo hotel a amici.

A piscina e o jacuzzi são maravilhosos muito bom , os balneários têm água bem quentinha e são ótimos , quanto aos tramentos do spa podiam inovar mais não me disseram muito, mas valeu pelo jacuzzi e piscina interior , muito bons !

I messed up here - thinking it was a couple of minutes walk from the train station we would arrive at from Porto. The Porto train arrives at Coimbra B, which is a 'main line' station. The station across form the hotel is Coimbra A. So, Uber to the rescue for us. The hotel is fine, but just slightly disappointing in some respects. There was no safe in the room (that we could find, anyway), and the mattress had a noisy spring that reminded you that you were turning over in bed! Breakfast (not included in our deal) looked a little underwhelming, so we went out down the street for breakfast on the morning after our one-night stay. Weirdly, the reception staff wanted to know our room number as we walked past (no luggage) to go get some breakfast - returning a bit later to check out. Not sure what that was all about.

We were very happy with our two-night stay in Studio no. 12, which was spacious, tastefully appointed and had everything we needed. The host/manager Ricardo was very solicitous, regularly checking that we were satisfied and asking whether we needed anything. Our only real bone of contention had less to do with Sophia Studios and more to do with the location, with noise from the [busy] street outside and nightclubs and the like penetrating the fully closed windows and shutters. That aside, the location is excellent, within walking distance of everything you'll want to see.

Silvia was our receptionist and go-to person. She was truly AMAZING! She is a delightful young lady who was our contact person, greeted us, carried our luggage ( the stairs were a bit difficult for me), called taxis for us, brought extra blankets, prepared breakfast, recommended restaurants and sites in Ciombra…there was nothing she wasn’t available to do. She was always smiling and friendly. While the property is on a large piece of land and is farm like it is NOT in the countryside. It is in a suburban area 10-15 minutes from Coimbra. We were specifically attracted to being in the countryside so this was a disappointment. Even with Apple CarPlay, our gps system, we missed the street several times. The name of the street is not well marked. The property is behind a lovely gate and parking is readily available. This was a plus. Our room was very large ( bedroom, separate living room, bathroom, entry space)and had lovely views overlooking the grounds, the pool and distant mountains. We booked on *********** “ Family Room with Balcony” 441 sq/ft. and stayed Sept 29-Oct.1. The room was stylish and very clean with big windows overlooking the grounds. However there were many flaws. There were no glasses for water in the room, no water provided, no conditioner in the shower, no robes or slippers, only 2 very flat pillows, one set of towels. We were offered use of the communal kitchen but this was not inviting. We were shown the refrigerator and told there was a different shelf designated for each room. Too much like a college dorm or work fridge. We could use the kitchen as we wished but did not avail ourselves. Silvia did immediately bring us an extra duvet when we found the room too cold. She did offer to turn the radiators on but we were afraid we would find it too hot.There was no thermostat for us to control. There were enough outlets for adapters and charging cables. We did not expect USB ports as is common in Portugal.wi-fi was good. The worst was the shower. It’s a beautiful walk in with a rain shower but on the first morning my husband had cold water. I had scalding hot then tepid then cold. And yes…we do know how to turn on and adjust the water. On the second morning we both had COLD showers. The hair dryer was terrible…barely dried my short hair. The room was not serviced. We came back after a long day exploring Coimbra to find an unmade bed and wet towels. So we made the bed and used wet towels… The breakfast, again Silvia was the star, was in a small dark room with a buffet selection on a narrow sideboard. There were decent choices…cheeses, bread and good coffee and scrambled eggs. One table was so close to the sideboard we couldn’t access those foods without being rude. We did take taxis into Coimbra . We thankfully had a hotel address card to show drivers for our return trip. Even with that, both drivers had a difficult time finding the property.
