Hotel Dreams de la Patagonia

This is a proper hotel with a lift! It also has its own parking which might not sound much but parking is a nightmare in Coyhaique. The room was big a spacious and it had a decent shower. The ****** part is in different building and you wouldn't notice it if you just came in through the front of the hotel. It's not like Las Vegas! Other than breakfast we didn't eat here but breakfast was fine with a decent spread. This has to be the best place in town.

We stayed only for one night on a Patagonia trip coming from the North and continuing to the South. Actually we were not interested in the adjacent ******, but were attracted by the high ratings. We can only recommend staying in the hotel. We probably had the best hotel rooms since we left Buenos Aires: large clean and modern, a large modern bathroom, fast internet. Very conveniently the hotel has a decent restaurant with a buffet or a la carte dishes. While the service at the reception was English speaking, it wasn’t in the restaurant, but we still got our food.

Fantastic place! The hotel room is nice and luxurious, the views are amazing, it is tranquil. And the breakfast is just, oh! (I loved the food so much that I gained 5 lbs in 10 days there) The staff is nice and professional. Highly recommend.

This hotel is well appointed and has good rooms, but the staff are either disinterest or bordering on the rude. The cooked breakfast was disgusting… completely burnt bacon and totally uncooked scrambled egg. Also. And ridiculous for this class and price, no decent coffee. There are now good new apartments opening for single night access (and up) at much lower prices and so Dreams Patagonia will have to start getting its act together.

The room was nice enough, with a large bathroom, but there were no extras whatsoever, no tissues, no tea/coffee facilities and no water, which for a hotel with so many stars is not acceptable. The breakfast was the worst we experienced on our whole holiday, and was accompanied by loud inappropriate music. The whole vibe is more ****** than hotel and certainly not to our liking.

The housekeepers spray some allergy-causing and nausea-inducing perfume in the rooms, and the hotel did not stop when asked about it. I got nauseous and threw up when I walked into the room from the artificial cologne-like spray everywhere. The hotel did not have any other unsprayed room. I left the window open for hours and two ventilators on so I could get inside to sleep much later. I explained to the hotel crew over and over to please not do this again as I don't want to get sick and have anaphylaxis so far away from home. They nodded and I thought they understood. Next evening I come into the room, and guess what I find: the room had been sprayed again with this stinky thing. FYI, over-perfuming a room does not make it seem fancier -- it just makes guests wonder if it is used to cover something bad like smoke or mold. I rarely write reviews, but felt people with such allergies should learn beforehand. If the hotel were more responsive or more mindful of this issues, it'd have been a top notch stay indeed as everything else is lovely.
