This is a stunning chateau-stye country house in the middle of Chamagne region countryside. The house has been loving restored and refurbished with a perfect blend of contemporary features amidst antique French furnishings. Our room was La Comtesse and was more of a suite, than just a room. It had a seating area and views onto two sides of the garden. Breakfast was served in the stunning wood panelled dining room and was fresh and plentiful. However the added bonus for us was the offer of a 4 course evening meal. We were only staying one night on our drive back home from Italy to the UK, so having dinner onsite after a long day of driving was absolutely perfect! The food was in the local style and spectacularly delicious with a choice of local wines - highly recommend!!

Booked a room for the two of us and our baby. Asked the night before arrival if our baby could join dinner. Been told babies are not allowed because they could damage ‘precious and unreplacable’ furniture. Nowhere on their website or booking dot com is mentioned that children are not allowed. Very bad example of hospitality.

A wonderful stop off en route to the South of France! Beautiful house - the rooms and dining room were so charmingly decorated. We stayed in the interconnecting rooms Le Grenetier and La Comtesse which was perfect for the family. A warm welcome from Arjan, a stroll around the village and then a delicious dinner from Rene really made our first night back in France for 3 years absolutely perfect! Breakfast was equally delicious and set us up for the second leg of our journey. Overall we would thoroughly recommend!

The place is full of character as many have mentioned friendly hosts, lovely food. Especially ideal for us as we much preferred to travel in a bubble so the accommodation was perfect for that. We ate and drank well but the overall cost was very reasonable!

Wonderful warm welcome from a charming couple who went out of their way to tell us about the history of the house and village. The rooms were beautifully decorated with an eclectic mix of objects d’art. Our room had seating and coffee table that we took advantage of with our friends to have a pre dinner glass of wine from the sensibly priced mini bar. The bed was comfortable and added details such as chocolates beside the bed, robes in the bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities made it feel very luxurious. We had requested dinner and this was served in the magnificent dining room with a roaring log fire. The four course meal was delicious and the local wine very good. Breakfast too was excellent. We will definitely be returning.

Topadres als tussenstop. Zeer vriendelijke aangename ontvangst en een heerlijk 'petit' diner (een-pan gerechten maar echt top!) 's avonds en in de ochtend een heerlijk petit déjeuner. Ons favoriete adres wanneer we nog eens die richting uitgaan. Zeer rustig gelegen in een typisch franse omgeving.
