Puebloastur Eco Resort Hotel & Spa

This was our second visit in 3 years to Puebloastur, and we worried that it couldn't live up to our first perfect visit - luckily we were wrong! Once again the people who work there made it an unforgettable experience. From the moment you arrive everyone is so welcoming and attentive, your bags are whisked away to your room, and you're given a tour of the property - and what a property! The buildings are so beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the view down the mountain valleys is one of the best I've seen anywhere. The food is wonderful at their restaurant, and on our second night Abdou gave us a dinner experience that we'll remember for years to come. A huge thank you to everyone who made our stay such a memorable experience. We will be back!!

Excellent accommodation. Amazing view . Hotel up in the hills surrounded by green and mountains , feels like Switzerland. Temperatures cool which is a good reason to come to escape the heat everywhere else. Restaurant excellent with a young chef full of talent and prices reasonable. You can enjoy not only the incredible seafood and fish but also the meat of all sorts Asturias is famous for. Little reason to go elsewhere. Then you can still escape to do amazing hikes in the mountains with plunging views to the sea. What not to like? The weather may be volatile and you may sometimes wake up in a fog.

Overall beautiful experience. Amazing art works to admire. A place to relax surrounded by nature. The most exceptional experience is waking up to breathtaking views of the valley and mountains. That’s what would really take me back to the resort. Decoration of the room is beautiful, clean and quite, although I expected the bed to be more comfortable. The staff is extremely kind although I felt they fell short on people and some of the waiters felt a bit stressed. Food was fantastic.

A world class view and a restaurant to match! Sat in the sunshine with glorious views having enjoyed the gastronomic delight of lunch here. Superb food, excellent service, stunning views and also in my case, great company. Good for the soul - thank you!

The service here was phenomenal. The art and decor were spectacular. The surroundings were idyllic and perfect. If I have any complaint, it’s that the standard rooms really aren’t up to five star standards. We got on upgrade after looking at ours, so we didn’t have to deal with the parts we felt were subpar. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel while we stayed there, and the dinners were really out of sight. Trust their specials, like the tuna belly a la plancha and the whole lenguada for two. I’ve never had better fish anywhere in the world.

We have just left the hotel having stayed for 6 nights having spent the previous week touring northern Spain. Our first week was very busy with lots of driving and sightseeing and we were looking for a place to stay for our second week which would provide much needed R&R. Our last stop off at the end of the first week was A Coruña in Galicia and we’d decided that the best place to find a base for the second week would be the Asturias region. I did a search online and came across this hotel which looked just the ticket. Our wish list was:- Secluded but accessible for short day trips Small and intimate Serenity Wellness Spa Views Mountains First class gastronomy Five star service The Puebloastar delivered in spades in each and every one of these categories. The hardest thing to describe, and the photographs online just don’t do it justice, is the views. Surrounded by national parks and the Picos de Europa within spitting distance the view from our room, the drinks terrace and restaurant was indescribably beautiful. The staff are so very accommodating. Some evenings we didn’t want to eat too much and ‘Harry’ the chef was happy to make salads or whatever we wanted. We visited his kitchen and chose our Monkfish one evening. He’s a very accomplished chef indeed. All of the staff were amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t get all of their names but “Nacho” and Abdul amongst others really looked after us. By the time we had to leave we felt we were part of the family. One evening there was a terrific storm which was fantastic to watch with lightning over the mountains. We experienced the most beautiful double rainbow which , silly as it may sound, brought us to tears. The hotel is so at one with Mother Nature you can’t possibly stay here without feeling spirituality uplifted. I can’t recommend the hotel enough!
