Ocean Park Motel & Holiday Apartments

I booked this place for a one night stay but due to the floods on the Mid North Coast of NSW in May 2025, I couldn’t get to to the town of Coffs Harbour as the road was blocked in both directions. I contacted the motel as soon as I heard on the news that the roads were closed which was about 7pm at night. I spoke to a message service that said the motel was closed and they’d pass on my concerns and someone would call me in the morning. By 9.30am the next morning I hadn’t heard do I called again and spoke to a lady by the name of Susan. I explained my situation and asked if they motel could refund me the $275 I’d paid for the booking as it was very extenuating circumstances and there was no way I could make my booking that night. Susan immediately became abrupt and aggressive and told me there was “ nothing she could do as we are not flooded in “. When I pleaded with Susan again , she rudely told me she’d offer me a 6 month credit. I advised her I lived some 10 hours from Coffs and could she at least offer a 12 month credit to which she replied “ that’s the best I can do “. When I told her I wouldn’t get back to Coffs in the next 6 months she abruptly hung up on me. I’ve emailed this motel but am yet to get a refund. Don’t risk booking with this place as it’s clear they’ve got no compassion when it comes to a family being caught up in a natural disaster

Positive good location walk to beach and bowls club which was nice. The room is very outdated and the old air conditioning sounded like an aeroplane. The ceiling fan was also really noisy. Arrived on a hot day to find the pool closed. Not ideal ☹️

Fantastic boutique motel on the beach. Very clean and modern inside units. This place is one of those very rare motels where the little extras in the rooms and facilities make the difference. Its almost like the owners actually stay in the rooms themselves and set them up as they would appreciate them if they were a guest themselves. We all loved this place and will stay again as it sure beats the expensive, sterile places we have stayed in. Big kudos to owners. The only negative is a lack of electrical sockets for those with cpap machines.

We stayed for 2 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment and really enjoyed our stay. It isn’t super modern but it is beautifully furnished with comfortable furniture which looked new. We had everything we wanted and needed and looked after ourselves with meals. There are some great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were very efficient and friendly and Susan, the Manager was very welcoming. We would definitely go back and recommend it for couples or families. We liked the fact that there was private parking and also a very nice barbecue area. The beach across the road was very handy and the pool was very nice too.

From outside looks ordinary but opened door lovely clean apartment modernly furnished. Location has something for everyone pub and club 2 minutes walk either way, lovely coffee shop and beach short walk. Play ground and park across road, self check-in very easy. The shower pressure a little light and hard to adjust only negative but not major. Four steps to enter. Good size fridge, two burner hot plate. Overall very good and location short drive to marina which is a nice walk .

Stayed in a studio apartment for 2 nights. Lovely styled, clean and generous size for 2 people. Comfortable bed, good pillows(so important!!) - everything you need for a little getaway!!! Close to great coffee and watching the sunrise across the road at the beach is a must!!! Would book again without hesitation next time we are in Coffs Harbour!!!
