Hotel in zona Gumbaynggirr National Park, Coffs Harbour

This is a great motel. We turned up late in the afternoon on Friday 1st March without a booking and were greeted with a smile. Wonderful room, great pool and nothing was a problem. Good location to the local amenities and very comfortable beds. The room had everything you could need, even fresh milk for the morning coffee. Much better than some big name hotels - 5 Gold Stars to Lyn and Arthur - FYI, I stay at a lot of hotels! I would recommend to anyone who wants a friendly atmosphere, great location and comfort. Fine for one night stopover. The car park is at rear of building so a short walk to room. We took downstairs room for ease of carrying luggage. The bathroom was obviously designed for disabled and we were not advised of this but the shower was good and other than a higher toilet it didn’t really impact us. Dust on rim of tiles though. Decor quite dated. Tea and coffee, toaster and microwave all easy access. Bowls plates and cutlery. There was butter and spreads in Fridge which was a nice touch but we didn’t use. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly quiet. Bowls club a short walk away with Asian fusion menu.

Un servizio amichevole e utile, moderno e fresco in un contesto storico, brillante, nostalgico. Buona cena nel bistro, grande posizione vicino alla stazione ferroviaria, facile da trovare per i viaggiatori che vogliono uscire dalla notte B-duplicate utilizzando l'autostrada. Per raggiungere il jet, vicino alla Marina e l'isola di Mutton Bird, Coffs Creek, Park Beach, Galles Beach in facile raggiungimento a piedi. Bene, vale la pena di rimanere più di una notte se il vostro calendario permette. Il bagno condiviso è un toccato di autenticità e non dovrebbe scoraggiare di rimanere lì, è un pub angolare. Tornerò per più di una notte.

Wish I’d have read them everything is true. This is not a luxury resort. Tired old dirty rooms. No staff anywhere. No gym access. Unusable internet. No assigned parking and not enough spaces. But best of all many people live here permanently and they do not like visitors. One resident came INSIDE our room as we brought in our cases and told us off for banging the door. We had been here under 2 minutes. Another resident ambushed my daughter parked by lift unloading her cases with a tiny baby and 2 year old told her off too. Within 90 seconds of arrival. Literally they patrol the place looking for chances to discipline visitors for actually being here !! Nice grounds but horrible atmosphere- rudest barmaid in the bar rude to coworkers and guests went for 1 drink and left. Yes we asked for our room to be cleaned to give the place a chance to step up before complaining and someone came and cleaned one window and sprayed a scent to cover up curry smell but couldn’t get rid of it. Staff are hidden and only available via mobile phone. Ghastly. Do not go. It is not a resort experience!

What a beautiful destination !!!!! From the moment we arrived it was amazing Never have we stayed anywhere that has put so much thought into making your holiday a memorable one The rooms were spotless with comfy beds . The kitchen had everything we needed even a sandwich press You had access to the laundry (free use of the washing machine and dryer) and also there was a cupboard that was stocked with board games books and tennis rackets balls etc The pool was amazing and open till 8.30 and there was a bbq , tables and kitchen area which had plates cutlery etc so all we needed was to take our food which was great . The beach was just a short stroll and so picturesque. We were lucky to see dolphins on 2 occasions . Thank you to all the staff at smugglers for the efforts and personal touches you provide We will definitely be back ……. We travelled with our son and 5 year old granddaughter. Stayed in 2 b/room apartment on the ground floor

Stayed 5 night in early May . Great place !! Very comfortable, everything we needed in room and exceptionally clean . The manager Kelly was extremely helpful and nothing was a problem for her , she made our stay very memorable . Great meals and entertainment in the Tavern . All in all a very enjoyable, friendly place to stay . Looking forward to our next visit.

It was an arrive late and leave early for our visit to Belfry, we were heading north and on a strict timetable. I hate the tile and disinfected motels on the side of the Pacific Hwy. Belfry is in the middle of the culinary, coffee, cafe scene of the mid north coast. It is a delightful old house, tastefully designed. The bedroom had a comfortable, cozy bed that produced a sleep filled night. The shared bathroom was spotless with soul cleansing hot water. I didn’t use the kitchen but it was large and well equipped. The verandah outside the bedroom was spacious and would have been ideal to sit, with coffee, enjoying the waking of the day. A most pleasant place to stay. I only have one criticism, and that’s aimed at me. I should have stayed longer!

Such a wonderful experience at the Lodge- comfy bed, lovely shower, quality linen. The pool area was relaxed and smart and a free Gin and tonic is the ideal enticement to have you having a couple before dinner. It is motel style so it can be a bit noisier when people are sitting outside their room talking or packing their car, but it is super comfortable. Shout out to Nicola who we loved meeting and who cared for us well.

Siamo rimasti nella villa di Gumnut, che era assolutamente orribile, il bagno inondava il pavimento del bagno, la testa del doccia in seguito era come essere affollata da un idrante incendio, il bagno in seguito era piccolo, come era destinato ai bambini piccoli. C’era un nebbio di anatre nella luce sopra il letto di maestro che mi stava gonfiando anatre e pezzi di anatre tutta la notte, così abbiamo spostato il letto fuori dalla strada; il fan di quella stanza vibrava così male che stava scalzando più anatre nel letto. L'aria condizionata funzionava, ma non credo che la stanza fosse isolata, quindi non era mai abbastanza.Abbiamo avuto due fan che correvano per provare a mettere aria fresca nella stanza dei bambini per tutta la settimana che eravamo li'. Le materassi si sentivano assolutamente orribili e mi sentivano come se andassi a sdraiarmi ogni volta che mi muovo, c'era un po' di forma sulle pareti del letto, e tutta la cabina era vecchia, vecchia e molto abituata. Il Wi-Fi non funzionava molto, perché non c'era nemmeno un servizio cellulare nella maggior parte del parco. Perché glielo do 4 stelle? Per Jan! Il personale era sorprendente! Jan ha cercato di fare tutto nel suo potere (e poi alcuni!) per cercare di aiutarci. Era incredibile! Le strutture erano anche grandi! Molti per i bambini da fare, accesso diretto alla spiaggia, canguro in tutto il luogo, piscina, attrezzature per giocare con l'acqua, slide, corti da tennis, archery, cartoline, tutto il divertimento! Le biciclette sono vecchie e abbastanza corse in basso così non vale la pena di noleggiare. Grazie ancora Jan! Speriamo di restare qui di nuovo, ma in una delle cabine più moderne (o nella nostra tenda).
