- Our Coho Cabin (700 s/f half of a Duplex) is quiet & cozy just a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive form the Coffman Cove Harbor. Built in 2011, it's not some 'crusty old fishing shack' but rather a nice modern place with a 'cozy cabin' feel. - We offer a well appointed full kitchen and gas grill for cooking out. - The single bedroom has 2 Queen Beds with 2 Twin Bunks above each queen. Sleep 4 people each in their own bed, or a family of 6 with 2 in each Queen and 1 in each Twin. - There is a Futon in the Living Room with a THICK and comfortable mattress & ample bedding & pillows to sleep an additional 2 people or create some separation from the Bedroom. - A wide covered porch gives you the opportunity to be outside while staying dry if it's raining. - Chamber Style and Food-Saver Style Vacuum Sealers and 7cu/ft Chest Freezer as well as Fish Totes, Cutting Boards, & Filleting Knife for processing & preserving your catch.- Other amenities include a washer & drier, wi-fi internet, 115qt cooler, and a full map of the island on the wall for planning each days adventure. - Luck Lake is only 4 miles out Loggers Ln with a beautiful picnic area. Beach Coming and Seaside Picnic area is only steps away as you head back toward town. - It can be a good idea to get your Groceries before you come as Coffman Cove's "Riggin' Shack" General Store is well-appointed but somewhat limited.- A fully rigged 16' Skiff with a new 25hp Yamaha 4-stroke is for rent as a separate rental.- A Full Sized Ford Club Wagon Van is also available as a separate rental.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:NO Fish Cleaning or Filleting at the house!! The Cove is located on the northeast coast of the breathtakingly beautiful Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. The area is well known as a fisherman’s paradise. Salmon runs are abundant throughout the summer and into the early fall. Halibut, cod, and yellow eye are caught regularly just a few minutes from the docks. Delicious Dungeness crabs and spotted shrimp are prolific in the waters around the Cove (we have pots available for use). The nearby rivers and lakes are popular for freshwater fishing. The Lodge makes an ideal base for hunting black bear and the Sitka black tail deer in the fall. All the community amenities are within walking distance of the Lodge, including a well-stocked convenience store and restaurant, a local watering hole, the library, the harbor and a beach park. The Coho Cabin is brand new and fully equipped and furnished for your dream Alaskan adventure. The Cabin has two bedrooms each with a twin over full bunk bed. There is also a very comfortable full-size sleeper sofa in the living room. The cabin can sleep 5-6 people. The kitchen is fully furnished as expected. There is a full bathroom with a shower along with a separate laundry area. The outdoor space includes a gas grill and lounge chairs on the large front porch. Included with your accommodation is a dedicated room for processing and storing your fish and game, including a commercial grade vacuum packer and a freezer. We want to make sure that you can enjoy and share your catch long after your adventure ends. (additional charge applies)To get here, most folks will fly into Ketchikan from Seattle on either Alaskan Airlines or Delta Air. From Ketchikan you can arrange for a short flight to the Island with Island Air Express or other carriers based out of Ketchikan. Alternatively, you can book passage to and from the Island via the Alaska Inter- Island Ferry Authority. Getting to the Island is easy and it is part of the Alaskan adventure. Once you arrive at the Island a rental vehicle is a must. We can add a boat and or vehicle to your rental. Just contact us for details.
