Enjoy the river breeze while sipping your morning coffee & watching the sun rise over the river and birds catching their morning fish or sip a glass of wine on the veranda as the Riverboat Queen goes by in the evening. Fish from the river deck or watch missles go up from Cape Canaveral situated right across the river. Enjoy the short stroll or bike along the river road to historic Cocoa Village. In the village enjoy boutiques, restaurants, outdoor jazz, and special events. Only 8 miles or about 15 minutes from world famous Cocoa Beach, Canaveral Pier & Ron Jon Surf shop. 45 minutes along the Beach Line HWY 528 to Orlando tourist attractions yet away from the crowds and traffic. Spend a day farther north in historic St Augustine or Daytona Beach. This 100-year-old home sits just 50 feet from the Indian River, with a large front porch that’s perfect for mornings and evenings by the water. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the home feels both historic and comfortable, with modern updates like excellent air conditioning.The amenities feel thoughtfully collected over time, giving the home a warm, eclectic feel. We even found pieces that reminded us of family heirlooms.The dock is accessible but weathered, so it’s best to look it over before use, especially with kids. Accessibility was also better than expected for a home this age — the back door has a gentle slope and only a couple of steps, which made it easier for our walker-using traveler.The host was responsive and clearly cares about the home. Overall, it’s a comfortable and welcoming place to enjoy the river and the charm of a century-old house.

Perfect location for everything
My whole family enjoyed this property! My son loved that we were just across the road from the river, and he spent quite a bit of his free time fishing. My daughter loved that she was able to have her own bedroom space and bathroom (huge plus for a preteen girl!). We loved the location as we were just a short walk or drive from anywhere se needed to go. Vivian was available for anything we needed for the duration of our stay. Highly recommend!

Peaceful
The house was perfect! The rooms were large yet cozy. The beds were comfy too. The only complaint I have is the pots and pans were not the greatest so we ate out more.

Strong Haven
We loved it! Three generations and 10 people stayed here and enjoyed living in history! The house fit everybody comfortably and although over 100 years old has all the modern amenities. Vivian was a great host and always communicated promptly. The house has great views (don’t miss the sunrises) and a great location (walking distance to Cocoa). The kids all want to go back and so do we.

Family Christmas Vacation
Overall, we had a nice stay at StrongHaven. This was our 1st stay in a historic home - it was an interesting adventure for us! The showers were small, but that is normal for a historic home - just took some getting used to for us. We enjoyed being able to go down by the river to watch for dolphins - we had one morning where we saw multiple dolphins swimming by and playing - including a mom and baby. That was the best highlight of our trip - so cool to see dolphins in the wild :) It will be beautiful to just hang out on the pier, when the storm damage is fully repaired - crossing our fingers for you that everything goes smoothly with that.We loved the vibe of the front porch and the front porch swing.We did have an issue our first night, but Vivian was very responsive and worked quickly to take care of it. We greatly appreciated it.It was wonderful to take a quick walk downtown and visit the coffee shops. We enjoyed grabbing a coffee and a sweet treat. Had a great time visiting some of the local stores as well.We weWe were able to see the surfing Santas in Cocoa Beach on Christmas Eve Day - lots of people, but it was fun :)The home was well stocked with supplies in the kitchen. Plently of towels, etc for the bathrooms.We didn't have much luck finding beaches with lots of shells, but we did enjoy just hanging out and getting some sun. They were all easy to get to.We had a nice family Christmas vacation.It was nice awayhaoutsunshineiFlChristmas.

Amazing getaway
I absolutely loved this stay! The owner is amazing and probably the best host I’ve had! I recommend this house to everyone and will stay here again!

50 High School Reunion
We loved the house. It’s very old but with modern bathrooms and kitchen appliances. Obviously somebody lived here recently. All the drawers are full and the laundry room etc has stuff in every space It’s really not a problem at all However there is no internet and my husband had a meeting so we had to go to Starbucks. Vivian really need to sort thst out. We didn’t use any of the rvs but did need WiFi
On the whole a lovely stay with lovely views
