PAR Five Shacks

From the landscaping to the Shack itself Par 5 Shacks exceeded my expectations. The rooms are massive. The view to the golf course is very relaxing and being able to have the sliding door open and listen to the birds in the morning was wonderful. The bathrooms are next level luxury. The bed was soft but so comfortable and the pillows were great. The soft furnishings are on point as is the decorating. The architecture is so lovely. I do enjoy buildings like this. I wish I could have taken my shack home :-)

The website shows a pool, but in the fine print it is some 400m from the shacksSimilarly with the barbecue, and the fact the rooms aren’t serviced daily. Despite these, the shacks are very luxurious, plenty of space and well equiped. A lovely outdoor verandah right on the golf course, to enjoy a drink. The tavern adjacent offers an excellent range of meals at reasonable prices. We stayed for 3 nights, and would stay again when visiting the area.

Beautifully presented. Check in could be improved. Good location to explore the Riverland. We found the villa noisy when someone was in either of the adjoining rooms. The loft ceiling is a wow factor in the villa however it has the disadvantage of light streaming through when the sun rises and not blocked out overnight. We ate in the Tavern which was convenient but it was an average experience and very noisy. We ate at Earth for dinner one of the evenings which was a short walk across the Fairway and it did not disappoint, it was marvellous including the service. I would like to see more exterior lighting and more obvious signage for Earth, it is far superior to the Tavern but needs to raise its profile. There is no way to lock the rear door of the villa from the outside so we had to use the front door which is sufficient but would have been nice to sometimes leave by the rear straight onto the golf course with the golf equipment. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and would recommend the Par Five Shacks.

My sister and I stayed overnight on a short road trip to South Australia. I was warmly greeted by the staff and checked in quickly. Check in is at the adjoining golf club and featured poker machines, a lovely bar and bistro. Our room was absolutely beautiful. It looked and felt like it was newly built. The beds and linen were exceptional and the room extremely spacious. It had a huge bathroom, with a spacious shower and bath. Floor to ceiling windows overlooked the beautiful golf course. We enjoyed dinner in the bistro and both the service and food was very good. Berri is quite spread out and Par Five Shacks are a little out of way, but the accommodation is truly first class and I highly recommend it.
