Hotel in zona St Mary＇s Roman Catholic Church : Duntocher, Clydebank

Aveva un soggiorno veloce, raggiunto il 26 dicembre 2020, inizio del blocco Tier 4 Covid. Il check-in è stato piacevole e le camere pulite e belle. Nessuno per aiutare con i bagagli ma comprensibile visto come funziona l'hotel con personale minimo. Molto utile per riporre i nostri bagagli e persino per sistemare alcune cose lasciate indietro mentre risolviamo il trasporto. La colazione era buona e veloce. Consiglierei alle persone di soggiornare nuovamente qui.

Anche se concordo con il risparmio energetico, una piccola stanza con una finestra che non si apre e l'aria condizionata che non si raffredda alla temperatura desiderata non è accettabile (è impostata una gradazione completamente inefficace). La piccola stanza era già evidente dalla prenotazione, ma le informazioni sulla restrizione di aprire la finestra per la sicurezza (un paio di cm) erano completamente nascosti. Non esattamente nel centro della città.

Il receptionista mi ha concesso un buon benvenuto e un consiglio di lealtà per abd la posizione del ristorante. La carta chiave della porta funzionava bene per tutta la mia permanenza. Il buffet del colazione era vario e abbondante, ma sarebbe certamente beneficiato da più ospiti. Il ristorante era pulito e pulito.La cucina e le piastre erano pulite.La selezione della macchina del caffè era americana o nulla. Ho sentito un altro ospite chiedere latte di barba e questo è stato portato rapidamente. La camera da letto era abbondante con tè e caffè. La camera da letto era pulita e il consumo era tutto funzionante e la pressione e la temperatura del doccia erano facilmente controllati. La TV era una moderna schermata piatta con un controllo remoto pulito e funzionante. Il segnale TV era buono e la selezione del canale era di base ma adeguata. C'è una stazione di benzina ben designata 24 ore con M e S cibo vicino all'hotel. La prova sonora dalle camere vicine è stata adeguata e senza disturbo. Il personale è stato utile e gentile. L'hotel non sembra fare nulla per incoraggiare i locali a usarlo.

Grande posizione. Prima di tutto, il personale è amichevole, ma è davvero insensato in altre aree. La nostra camera era piena di fiori, il letto era fresco, ma il desk era pieno, il tappeto sembrava non essere stato svuotato per settimane e quando sono andato a prendere il telefono accanto al letto c'erano i resti di una manciata di peperami che si trovava sul pavimento. Il bagno aveva un marrone marrone sul sedile di lama (che abbiamo pulito!) e il pavimento di lama era coperto di capelli lunghi neri. Sono bionda di platino e il mio amico ha i capelli rossi da molto tempo ... Abbiamo detto la ricezione che ci ha offerto di compagnare colazione ma avevamo già pagato per questo, quindi hanno appena preso il feedback. Abbiamo chiesto un tavolo di ferro e di ferro, e erano davvero appiccicosi, e potevano fare con un aggiornamento. Oh e durante il colazione la macchina del caffè è stata completamente rotta e è stata presa separata ...

We booked this as we knew our flight home to Glasgow Airport was landing late and we could not face the long drive home at such a time. By the time we cleared with our bags and walked to the hotel from the terminal it was 2am when we checked in. Unfortunately we were given room 115, which was opposite the elevators on the first floor. It was also not only an accessible room with wet bathroom (no shower unless you wanted to flood the whole room) but also had a ”connecting” door to the next room. No idea who was on the either side, but not ideal for either of us given our late arrival. I was feeling extremely tired and and went straight to my bed - unfortunately it was far too soft and it was a double, so we tended to fall into the middle where the ”hole” or ”dip” in the mattress was. With us both trying to sleep on the outside of the mattress for comfort we continually pulled the small duvet from each other in an attempt to keep warm after our return from Africa. The pillows were also too soft for my liking, however that was minor compared to the mattress. There hours later, at around 5am the corridor started coming alive with excited children heading off on their holidays, running and squealing, literally!! I can't blame them for being enthusiastic, but perhaps their parents might have understood that some guests might still wish to sleep at that time? Thus our morning continued so when we finally dragged ourselves up for breakfast around 9am I was extremely tired and somewhat grumpy... Now to breakfast; a fairly good selection was on offer if you came at a quiet time. I saw some guests leave towards the end our meal time as they did not want to wait in the queue for what was left. My main gripe about the breakfast was again, not the hotel's fault, but the guests, who presumably are not used to staying in hotels and don't know what swerving utensils are for. I saw one female guest pick up and touch several slices of bread and returning them before picking what she put in the toaster machine. I purposely picked a slice she hadn't pawed and waited whilst it went through the machine, then just as it arrived a young man (her son I believe) whisked it away in front of me. Manners non existent. The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly and the food on offer was perfectly adequate if all the guests knew how to behave. All in all, we picked this hotel for a catch up sleep after a late flight in and we didn't achieve that so we will not be back.

Si può pensare che si sia caduto in un tempo warp arrivando all'hotel Abbotsford, l'esterno sembra un motel di 50 anni, e la decorazione della stanza è molto datata e circondato dai bordi con spazzole, bump e marchi sulle pareti e mobili. Le strutture per il tè e il caffè erano buone, e la torta di tè e il caramello di Tunnocks hanno un bel toccamento. Come famiglia di 5 è raro trovare un hotel che ci accoglie bene, e siamo stati in grado di avere una camera interconnessa con letti a giacca, più un singolo con un doppio nella camera principale. Le porte aperte da una chiave dall’esterno, ma non avevano un meccanismo di chiusura dall’interno, che mi rendeva un po’ inconfortabile per i miei figli più giovani, così le bloccai con una borsa per impedire loro di lasciare la stanza. La stanza era una grandezza decente, aveva buone strutture, e non avrei alcun problema di rimanere per qualche giorno, dato la dimensione della stanza. Abbiamo prenotato direttamente, anche se gli hotel hanno un sito web e una stanza con colazione inclusa. La selezione dei cereali era relativamente limitata, ma la selezione del colazione caldo era eccellente. I miei figli avevano tutti pancake, che erano deliziosi e fluffy. Il mio marito pagò il supplemento di 3 sterline per la prima colazione e tutti i componenti erano deliziosi. Ho avuto il dolce toast francese con bacon, e anche se non avevano alcuna sciroppo di carolina, la cameriera mi ha portato una sciroppo d'oro con loro. L'hotel era un po' circondato dalle rive, ma ci piaceva il nostro soggiorno e era perfettamente situato per visitare la casa di Hill.

La posizione è perfetta, circondata da molti ristoranti e pub. Un autobus vicino fermato per andare all'aeroporto. La stanza non era 100% pulita e i mobili sembravano un po' vecchi. A volte è stato un po' rumoroso, come si può sentire chiaramente quando gli altri camminano e parlano in sala, ma non mi importava tanto quanto i prezzi erano molto ragionevoli! Non ho provato il colazione, ma la zona sembrava molto confortevole!
