The New Inn Hotel

A great location for visiting Stratford-Upon-Avon. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Ample free parking. A little out of town but there's a bus stop just outside or the walk into town is pleasant, plenty of taxis in Stratford. Breakfast was excellent. A short drive to the Cotswolds.

don’t believe the 4/5 ratings, yes the restaurant/bar is clean, warm and cosy, but the bedroom (10) you have to go outside and round the side of bar to it, door doesn’t close unless pushed hard and leant against to pull handle up, radiators in bedroom and bathroom only heat at bottom so room not very warm and bathroom is freezing, the bathroom is so run down never seen so much rust in a bathroom, some nasty old net at window no bound for privacy neither of us felt comfortable using the bath due to rusty plug area and no blind, also floor was so cold we had to use the towels on it so our feet didn’t freeze, bed was awful every movement it made awful noises, the headboard is flaming off leaving bits all over bedding, glass on bedside units were super sharp, plugs showed no pat test since 2016, no card to put on door to ask that they don’t enter during your stay or for that day, the only positive was it did smell clean upon arrival, all in all we won’t be staying here again, believe me we stay in all levels of hotels including travelodge but even those are better standard then this bedroom, oh and you can hear your neighbours above and next to you including going to toilet 🙈 not pleasant, this ruined our rare weekend as a couple away sadly, food in restaurant was ok but basic food at medium rate fees, drinks good selection, staff ummmm friendly but need training with good customer service we wasn’t even asked once how our stay was, if we needed anything else, or even how service is done we ordered carvery and had to ask if we just go up but was told the chef comes and gets you once he’s ready such a strange set up

On arrival we were scolded for being early even though we had rang before booking to confirm that would be okay and rang on the day again to confirm early check in (we had a wedding to attend) We were in room 12 a very dark room with one very high window that didn’t let in very much light, there were no plugs near the dressing table, and a very odd assortment of furniture and decor. The beds were something else, the double had a visible dip in the middle, old mattresses in need of replacement. Not comfortable at all! Also 5 pillows for 3 people is an odd amount… Breakfast was fine but nothing to write home about, the staff were not very friendly or helpful and when returning our key we got a simple, bye… not a how was your stay, etc etc
