Glen-Ella Springs Hotel & Restaurant

It's been @ 3 weeks since I've been back from spending a weekend at Glen-ella Springs Hotel for my son's wedding and wish I were still there! Trust me, you will fall in love! I couldn't believe how serene, beautiful and well maintained the property was. I instantly loved it! My room was very clean and beautifully decorated and was well supplied with everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were plush. The room had a desk and chair plus another comfy chair, and there was a coffee maker with fully stocked coffee choices. I arrived at night so when I opened my door in the morning I was stunned at how beautiful the view was! Right outside my door were two adirondack chairs where i sat with my coffee and gazed at the dream-like view. It's the most peaceful I've felt in a long time. I live in California and have never seen such lush green forest trees and the magnolia trees and garden setting was stunning! An expansive breakfast was served from 8:30 - 10:30 and it was delicious! What I loved about Glen-ella besides the beauty was how kind everyone was. I felt like I was wrapped in a warm blanket during my stay. You truly feel like you're in a home away from home. The staff were so very kind and the owners, Ed and Luci could not have been more lovely and accommodating. They made my son's wedding magical from start to finish and surpassed my son's and his new bride's expectations. The entire weekend was like a dream and no one wanted to leave. Ed and Luci have created something so unique and special and you will immediately feel it the minute you pull into the expansive property. I miss it and very much look forward to returning.

Just a great experience, start to finish. Breakfast each day was excellent; prompt and very good. Dinner was the same, just excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable. Start to finish the staff was just good and kind and fun-good folks! YES, we are coming back.

Such a beautiful Inn. Grounds are amazing, and the restaurant is incredible. Our dinner was spectacular. Breakfast is included in the stay and was just lovely. We had the pool to ourselves and it was very nice. This is a peaceful getaway with a lot of finesse in the details.

Our stay was fantastic from the time we checked in (and enjoyed the delicious peanut butter cookies in our room) until we checked out the following morning after enjoying breakfast via room service (breakfast and the room service were included with the stay). Our room was quiet, clean and cozy. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch in front. We had a relaxing dinner on the patio overlooking the amazingly beautiful grounds. Dinner was top notch, meals you would have in a 5 star restaurant! I had the pan seared halibut with vegetable orzo and green beans. My husband loved the macadamia encrusted chicken with mashed potatoes and a squash medley. Meredish was our delightful waitress. Chris made sure our stay was above and beyond from the time we made our reservations until we departed. We hope to be back in the area to have a reson to stay again. Highly recommend!

We stayed here one night as part of a 3 week USA road trip. This was one of 3 historic properties we stayed in, all very different in quality and character. The setting is beautiful with charming gardens a large lawn area, beautiful outdoor dining patio and pool area. Our drive to the hotel was down quite a long unpaved dirt road. We weren't sure whether there was another way to get to the hotel on sealed roads but we would recommend this if possible as the car and windows were covered in dust when we arrived and after we left. We had a rear facing room at the end which had clearly been thoughtfully furnished with higher end furniture. The room and bathroom were small but perfectly functional and spotlessly clean. We managed a quick swim in the pool (which closes at 6pm) and dined in the outside patio area of the restaurant. The food and wine were excellent although the service was a bit lack-lustre and we had to ask for water twice and our empty plates were left for some time. The only disappointment for us was being unable to enjoy the full breakfast. Breakfast isn't served until 8:30 which is really too late if you are planning an outing or en-route elsewhere, especially in summer. We did ask if we could get an earlier breakfast and as there was another group leaving at 8:00 we were offered a tray in the room at that time. The breakfast was nice with small pots of granola, yoghurt, juice, coffee and a hot muffin. It was just a shame we could have enjoyed the full breakfast included in the rate. The owners do a great job with the hotel which is borne out by the fact the hotel is so popular despite its quite remote location.

A quiet getaway with friendly staff and an outstanding breakfast service. If you plan to visit the falls it's a perfect stay. Make sure you use the jacuzzi tub and use their bath salts. The information and food in the falls package is worth the price. Great start to a honeymoon!
