BB HomEitaly Civitavecchia - Boutique&Gourmet Guesthouse

We had booked a cruise that left Civitavecchia the day after Easter Sunday and were struggling to find accommodations in Rome. We decided to find a spot close to the cruise port and came across BB Homeitaly. Well let me start by saying within minutes of making our reservation, Marco the owner reached out to us via text. Marco arranged for transportation from Rome airport and also for us to get to the ship. It was great meeting our driver right after we cleared customs. We also opted to take a class that his partner Pia led and learned how to make pasta. The class was super fun and the best part is we ate the pasta we made for dinner. A dinner that was better than anything we had on the ship. Marco and Pia made us feel like family. We had dinner in the same place we took the pasta making class and every course was phenomenal and everything was paired with a great Italian wine. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were super comfy. In the morning, Marco and Pia prepared a nice breakfast with lots of choices and Marco made a couple of rounds of Cappuccinos for the group, which hit the spot before heading to the cruise. Marco arranged for a driver to take us to the ship. The ride was fast and we were dropped right at the cruise terminal next to the ship. So convenient. We wish we had stayed longer with Marco and Pia. It was a great way to start our Mediterranean adventure. Why stay in Rome, when you can have a true Italian experience right in Civitavecchia at BB Homeitaly? It was the highlight of our entire trip, we will be back if ever taking a cruise out of Rome/Civitavecchia.

B&B HomEitaly was a fantastic place to stay in Civitavecchia. My mum and I needed an overnight stay before boarding our cruise. Marco did a wonderful job communicating with me during the booking process and all the way through until our stay. Marco also helped us book transport from the airport to the B&B. The B&B itself is well managed and cared for. We stayed in the blue room and had a bed each. It was very comfortable and a good size with en-suite. There was an opening window and air con. Breakfast was excellent quality with great coffee. There is a small flight of stairs upon entering the building and then an elevator. Marco and Pia were very helpful with bags too. The B&B is well located close to the sea, town, restaurants and a 5 minute walk from the cruise shuttle bus stop. This was very useful as taxis are hard to obtain to get to the cruise terminal. The B&B isn’t cheap but in proportion compared to other accommodation prices but definitely higher quality and with great service. Money well spent on a lovely stay.

Our stay at ___ was absolutely fantastic. Besides a very clean room with all the amenities, Marco really went above and beyond to accommodate us for an unexpectedly shortened stay. From booking to check out he was consistently warm, responsive, generous and attentive. We really appreciated how when our flight was significantly delayed he navigated getting a late night taxi for us and then made sure that we were able to check in just as smoothly as if we'd checked in at normal time. Marco even personally made us cappuccino in the morning as well as provided a delicious breakfast spread, even as late as 11am to make up for our very late arrival the night before. Overall we were fully delighted by our experience and only wish we could've stayed longer, if we are ever passing through again we will be sure to reach out!

We chose our accomodation based on reviews and location. This establishment has a good location but is so overpriced for what it is. Steps to get to the lift. Not enough furniture in the bedroom, pretty basic breakfast. Probably worth $100 a night but no more.

This was the perfect place to stay before our cruise- we wish we could’ve stayed longer! The breakfast was delicious! Plenty of food- amazing pastries, homemade yogurt, meats, cheeses, etc. not to mention really fresh juices and coffee! Marco was the perfect host- met us out by our car and brought our luggage in. The rooms were lovely. We will definitely stay again!

Having traveled for decades all over the world, and met many hosts, friendly, helpful, the opposites, and in between, I can tell you that no one anywhere cares as much about his guests as Marco. He goes out of his way to be helpful in every way. His home cooked meals are not only of top quality, but dining is an experience in its own right. One always hopes for a good experience, but one would never expect such a fantastic one with Marco.
