Hotel not as advertised. Hotel not up to Hilton or Hampton standards; I guess Holiday Inn has much lower standards. Mold, damp, cigarette smell, musky, humidifiers running in room, unsafe electrical set and cable management in room, broken items in room, old artifacts (ie wall thermostats that looked like they had burned up) still in room, tub water running and enamel worn off and shipped off, dark parking lot, bar music heard from 5th floor at 10:30 pm, rude staff, unclean bed sheets/bed spread, expired elevator certificates, the outside is completely off putting like a mental institute or old government office building, elevator light for floor indicator broken on both, completely outdated - no USB ports even, curtains that are brown and don’t close, and the absolute worse vibes of being unsafe ever - pretty sure there are cameras in the room, just not around for the safety of the guests. This was the worse hotel I’ve stayed in recent memory and that includes hotels in Baltimore, DC, NYC, and small no-name towns. The advertisement photos are misleading and I was not able to get my money back though we did not stay, I should have looked at other reviews and realized the documented struggle with same. The feeling of being watched was so strong that even after I swept the hotel room with my phone, I’m pretty sure there were cameras. Absolutely not. This hotel should probably be condemned or at least visited by the health department and the fired department for safety; the detector in the room looked outdated (over 10 years old) and the sprinkler looked to have been dislodged at some point. There was a single old outlet ***** with a humidifier, microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator plugged into it. There were cords strung across the floor. It was disturbing to see blatant violations that I would not expect a hotel brand to own alongside the general neglect and staff conduct/poor attitude, condescension and laughter when asked if there’s a non-expired certificate of safety for their janky elevator.

Non sapevo cosa aspettare di entrare in questo hotel. Una volta all'interno, il principale lobby aveva una sala, una sezione di snack a sinistra, una zona di colazione/bar e un cortese personale di fronte. Il mio ragazzo e io eravamo così impressionati quando siamo entrati nella suite di letto del Re. Ci sono tre camere più un balcone spazioso. L'area della camera da letto è moderna con una cucina a sinistra che prende il muro. Include un asciugacapelli, mini frigo, microonde e una macchina Keurig. La zona della camera da letto è una buona dimensione con un letto re, vestito con TV, due tavoli laterali e una sedia. Il bacino è fuori dalla camera da letto e molto spazioso. La doccia è un passo in casa con il bagno vicino. Intorno all'hotel è pulito con una palestra, piscina e area per soggiorno fuori più barbecue. Se sei in CT per i casinò, sei meglio di rimanere qui. Modalità più conveniente e aggiornato. Certamente tornando da quando ho scoperto questo gemello nascosto.

Ok, ** l'hotel è molto conveniente

Check in was quick and easy. Took no more than 5-10 minutes. Front desk was very attentive and friendly. Amber was awesome. Hotel was very clean. From, rooms to the common areas. Rooms were very nicely decorated. We stayed in a Studio w/ 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed that had pull out bed. Also has 2 TVs which was very nice addition. Indoor pool was moderate sized. Not heated so be prepared to ease your way in if you are chicken like me :＞ Hotel has a computer and printer so if you need to print out anything ( like tickets to Mystic Aquarium which I purchased but forgot to print out at home) saved me for losing $$$ as you need actual hard copy ticket to get in. Free Breakfast was nice addition and very good/tasty. From amazing muffins to delicious, scrambled eggs (hot and always filled in warmer) to staples like yogurt or cereals to juices (orange/cranberry, apple). There is even a waffle maker (didn't use as rest of items filled us up). Only goes from 630-930 on weekdays so get there quick. It is worth it. The woman (never got name) who came out to refil trays in ”buffet style” breakfast was AWESOME with capital A. very kind and also saw her make a waffle for someone that was having challenge using it. Saw multiple guest individuals with special needs (we have 2 kids on autistic spectrum, and everyone was super accommodating. Only small issue was that we asked for rooms to be cleared every other day. We were only there for 3 nights (Sunday through Wednesday) and though I saw them cleaning rooms they never came to our room and for we were out most of day from 11am-4pm so there was time for them to go in and we didn't have sign on door to say. Don't clean so felt little left out. I referenced on check out. Was told there was sometimes glitch between systems. It was not a huge hotel so not sure how that happens but anyway 99% was very good. If had to do over again I may have gone up to front or spoke to one of the cleaners directly but to me basic tasks like housekeeping didn't feel like you should. They did respond to small issues i raised like 1 bathroom sink where water wasn't going down and the fix it guy fixed it quickly and was very kind and professional. Food in area is limited but loved Golden palace (Chinese) right around corner and amazing food, huge portions. Not too far away was Chilli's where you can order on line and they bring right to car when done. Little smaller portions (steak 6oz looked like baby size) but was well made. We went to mystic (about 20 min away) for bigger things like Aquarium and the Old mystic village (very nice shops) and the mystic seaport was so awesome to walk around the small nice ships (pricey but nice to take walk on calm warm day). Mystic pizza (from the movie) was there but honestly pizza tasted same as dominos or worse. Very shocking but we took picture to say we were there.

Il personale era utile, felice, gentile e professionale in ogni momento. Da Check-in, al conducente della navetta, al mantenimento della casa e al bar. Ci ritroveremo certamente il prossimo viaggio ******! Calma, sicura posizione! Mi ha sorpreso tanto che pochi ospiti lo hanno colpito.
