Come viaggiatore di esperienza, devo dire che amo questo hotel. Ho intenzione di visitare di nuovo Muskegon solo per rimanere qui. La vista del lago stupenda chiarisce davvero il mio giorno. Il letto è molto comodo, il bagno è eccellente e il personale di manutenzione è professionale. Il personale di ufficio frontale è anche molto amichevole. Anche se la sala fitness è piccola, è perfetta per la mia ora di corsa sulla palestra. Assicurati di camminare per le scale al mattino o alla sera. Sedere in una sedia per godere il risalto e il tramonto è meraviglioso!

Siamo stati in città per un campeggio di hockey. Il centro dell'hotel /convention era collegato al rinoceronte, e siamo stati in grado di camminare direttamente al rinoceronte. In generale il personale era molto amichevole, le camere e le aree comuni erano pulite. Servivano Starbucks nel lobby. Tuttavia, si noti che non sono affiliati e non prendono l'app Starbucks per il pagamento. Hanno un ristorante sulla proprietà, così come un salotto. La piscina era molto piccola, e il tubo caldo era nascosto e inutilizzabile durante il nostro soggiorno. La sala da pranzo è stata molto grande e ha molte opzioni per completare un allenamento ben arrotondato. L'hotel è a pochi passi da altri bar, caffè e ristoranti, che è stato un grande plus. L'unica denuncia che avrei è che le pareti e le finestre sono sul lato sottile. Potresti sentire conversazioni, giochi di hockey alle ginocchia, strofinamento del bagno, ecc. Questo, però, non è un problema importante, perché non siamo stati spesso nella nostra stanza. Ogni camera intorno a noi sembrava rispettosa, e le cose si calmavano circa le 9 o le 9:30. In generale, rimarremmo lì se nella zona.

Our stay here was perfect. Room and hotel hallways were clean. Room was $85 with tax, and had microwave oven, large refrigerator, iron & ironing board, and coffeemaker. 6:30-9:00AM Continental Breakfast had bagels & cream cheese, muffins, cereal, instant oatmeal, bananas, and a waffle iron to pour and make hot waffles. The hotel had a coin-operated washer and dryer for guest use. The neighborhood is not really walk-able, but hotel is just off of major street for car access. This hotel sounded much better than the reviews on the nearby Clarion Hotel.

It's my fault for not reading the hotel's website closely before booking it; I just booked it based on the Country Inn and Suites name and previous experience with the brand. When we drove up, we knew it wasn't a traditional, original Country Inn and Suites, and the fact that it is still listed as a Quality Inn here on TripAdvisor says a lot about how our experience went. This hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. The lobby and breakfast area look nice, but as for the rest, well, I can only address the 2nd floor hallway of the left side of the building as that's the only other part of the hotel I went to. Why? Because the stairs (no elevator, but it clearly says that on their website) were dirty and the hallway was humid and warm. Our room had only been partially renovated as the beds seemed to be updated, but the sheets were pretty thin and the towels were getting threadbare. The door on our room didn't close properly; it had to be slammed to get it to shut, and needed some force to open it. The manager was in the hallway and made a note to have maintenance look at it. We checked out the next day and my comment was that they should NOT rent out rooms that have not been completely renovated. We understand it is a work in progress and hope that it will be up to standards, but at this point, it is not at all what you might think it should be based on the brand. I'd wait until they were done renovating or make sure to request a FULLY RENOVATED room before booking here. They've been working on it for several months and it takes time.

Please note, I have had Diamond status with Hilton for more than 10 years. On this stay, my family stayed in 2 rooms at the Hampton Inn Muskegon on the night of June 15, 2024, and checked out on Father’s Day. My family has stayed at this hotel before, and it was nowhere near this bad on our previous stay. The fact that they claimed to be out of all the Diamond member benefit snacks other than bottled water was a tad annoying, but minor. Let’s get to the bigger issues. On this stay, this hotel was quite the mess. The rooms were filthy, with all sorts of trash behind the beds, and with stained sheets. The fitness center was also quite filthy and dusty, and with zero towels. The breakfast area is added to the filthy areas. Additionally, the breakfast was supposed to run until 10. However, I’m told by another that they stopped restocking anything at 9. I went to the breakfast room after my morning workout, so I got there at 9:35 to find most of the items were completely gone. No employees were visible in the breakfast room, so I asked at the front desk if it would be possible to get more waffle batter. The person at the desk said, “Absolutely!” She then left the counter, presumably to talk to the person in the kitchen. 15 minutes later, I still hadn’t seen anyone in the breakfast room, so I went back to the front desk. The person I originally asked was back. She then said, “Oh, it is too close to the end of breakfast. We aren’t going to mix up any more batter.” So, I was left waiting for 15 minutes, expecting to see the batter refilled, but was just forgotten about. I didn’t even receive an apology for my wasted time. And my wife had been in the breakfast room at 9, when she heard someone else ask for more waffle batter. Apparently, 1 hour until closing of the room was still too close to the end to justify mixing up more waffle batter. Note, I’m not a big breakfast eater, but I really like the Hampton Inn waffles. It is the primary reason I stay at Hampton Inns. As we were checking out, I uncharacteristically asked for a refund, as this was easily the worst Hampton stay I’ve had in over 20 years. The clerk said he’d mention it to management. Considering how I failed to get notified about the waffle batter, I don’t have a lot of faith in ever hearing back on that refund possibility. So, I contacted Hilton via the app. The response was underwhelming. Their response included the following statement: “I apologize for the inconvenience caused. We will have your feedback shared to relevant team so that they can have the changes implemented as soon as possible this is the best we can do from our end at this moment. Rest assured that this does not correspond with the caliber of service or standards that any guest would anticipate receiving. Your comments will be shared with the relevant management team to ensure any shortfalls have been addressed and rectified. We appreciate your bringing this to our notice.” There used to be

L'hotel è nuovo, può ancora profumare un nuovo muro di asciugamano, ecc. Questo aggiunge al rating perché tutto sembra pulito e fresco, ma l'opera dell'edificio è terribile. Sembra che sia stato incastrato insieme da persone casuali fuori strada. Il piccolo personale che c'era era molto piacevole, amichevole e utile. Il colazione era ben conservato e pulito con un po' di varietà da un giorno all'altro. Ci era caffè e tè disponibile 24/7 che è sempre apprezzato. Ci sono stati minori angosciamenti sull'hotel come la mancanza di un coperchio per il divano di tiro (questo dovrebbe essere pulito e disponibile nella stanza se si prenota sempre una suite) quando abbiamo chiesto un coperchio per nostra figlia, hanno detto che li hanno dato tutti. Grazie a Dio abbiamo portato una piccola da casa, anche la nostra suite di 6 persone è venuta con 3 asciugamani. Ovviamente posso chiedere di più, ma se ho una stanza per 6 persone per due notti, 3 asciugamani di bagno chiaramente non la taglierà e è sconveniente andare in linea al lobby per asciugamani. Lo stesso vale per la piscina, dovevi chiedere asciugamani. Questo potrebbe aiutare a tagliare il lavandino, ma sembra essere un grande personale di fronte. In generale, era un buon soggiorno e sarei tornato se dovessimo rimanere nella zona. Vicino al bersaglio e Meijer e Culver, tra gli altri shopping e fast food.
