Ottimo luogo. Molto attento, amichevole e professionale. Camere spaziose, ben attrezzate e bellissimi. SPA sensoriale, è stata una grande e rilassante esperienza. Colazione con diverse opzioni da scegliere e con una buona qualità. Grandi piscine all'aperto, uno di loro coperto e riscaldato per quei giorni freddi. È difficile uscire da li'! Le attività organizzate dal resort, abbiamo scelto un passo che è stato molto utile.

Ci sono stati accolti con il cuore da personale e personale che sono chiaramente orgogliosi di Vilafoia e del suo ambiente. Molto utile in ogni aspetto: trovare/prenotare ristoranti, organizzare lezioni di yoga, gusti, tour guidati, o qualsiasi altro lavoro da fare intorno. Henk e Michel hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro trasformando questo posto in un B&B eccellente. La posizione del B&B offre una bella vista che può essere ordinato anche dalla bella piscina o da jacuzzi. Abbiamo una camera 9 che era molto spaziosa, aveva un soggiorno/cucina e un dormitorio, un bagno con prodotti Rituals e la cucina aveva un grande frigorifero e una macchina Nespresso. Il nostro balcone offre una vista bella a Portimão. E molto importante: ci siamo divertiti ogni giorno sulla terrazza con una vista magnifica. Durante il giorno è possibile ordinare piccole cose dal loro “menu della piscina” (come un tostapane, salada di frutta, ecc.) e intorno all’orologio si possono ottenere bevande, caffè/tea, crisp, noci, ecc da loro ben conservato frigorifero/stazione di autoservizio. Suggerimento in un giorno libero: abbiamo preso una bottiglia di vino spugnante e goduto dell'esperienza del caldo jacuzzi! Tutti in tutto una fantastica esperienza B&B. Grazie, Henk, Michel e la squadra. Certamente vi vedremo l'anno prossimo.

This hotel is an amazing retreat! Surprisingly you can't hear the noise from the racing track just nearby. The staff is very nice and attentive. The location is great if you want to be in a quiet part of the Algarve (30 minutes from Portimão). The breakfast is great. It has variety and the products are fresh and high quality. The hotel has an amazing outdoor swimming pool, unfortunately the it was too windy and we were not able to enjoy it. The Jacuzzi and the indoor swimming pool are great too! The room is as in the pictures, it is big and the decoration is modern. Overall, we recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy a quiet retreat in the Algarve!

Stavo bene, ma gli appartamenti potevano essere migliori, non c'erano tende nelle finestre della cucina e letti un po' scomodi.

Eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo. Piuttosto fuori mano ma facilmente raggiungibile, camera spettacolare, cena a buffet ricca ed economica (25, più 4.50 una birra media). Ottima base per la zona di Monchique (paesino vecchio, se ci andate in giugno troverete mille nidi di cicogne lungo la strada, uno ogni palo) e per Silves.

We last stayed at The Penina 27 years ago and I can honestly say that it has hardly changed. The hotel needs a complete facelift. Peeling paint on the hotel exterior is everywhere. Access to the golf driving range and other amenities is dreadful. At this time it is a bit like spot the guest. Sunday afternoon, just a maximum of 10 people at the pool. The restaurant likewise. Hardly any patrons and a total lack of atmosphere. The sad fact is that if people stop visiting, the hotel will die a miserable death. I cannot understand why there is a two tier system for wifi. Surely most hotels now offer this for free. On the plus side throughout the hotel the staff are delightful with many having been here for many years. There are about five restaurants but there never seems to be more than three open at any one time. They do offer very good food which is really inexpensive and of good quality. The buffet breakfast is extensive with more than enough choices. We would love to come next year and bring our whole family, but quite honestly I couldnt do that with what I have seen over the last 5 days. My view is that unless the management do something really proactive that with the intense competition elsewhere this once really lovely hotel is going to fail. Having said all of the above, the cost of the accommodation was competetive and good value. We have enjoyed ourselves and give all credit to the wonderful staff without whom this would be a very different place.
