We were a unsure when we first arrived here. Our room was large and the patios are huge. Everything was spotless and it felt new. Lots of sunbeds and a nice pool. Would have been nice to have sunbed mattresses. This is one of those places where they give you towel tokens. It’s then down to you to take your towels back to reception to exchange them. Would be simpler to leave a towel bin near the pool and put fresh towels in your room each day, or have them near tomhe pool to collect. Many of the staff have limited English, which is not their fault, but it does make if difficult ordering things sometimes. We considered using the restaurant but it had no atmosphere and zero views. Location is OK, there is a great beach around 10 minute walk away. There’s a restaurant opposite the hotel, but take cash as they don’t accept cards and you’d have to have international banking set up if you wish to pay online. Breakfast was reasonable and lots of options. You won’t be disappointed here, but you also wont’t be wowed.

We took advantage of their Valentine's offer; first class accommodation, food and service. We were able to secure a sea view room overlooking the pool which was fabulous. The linen was top notch, the room huge, as was the bathroom with stand alone bath and huge separate shower, twin sinks. The bed was enormous and so comfortable. Part of the offer included a Thai massage, which was pure bliss, one of the best we've had. Breakfast was also one of the best we've had, with the most amazing service by incredibly friendly staff, some who appear to speak many languages! From the moment we arrived to our departure, the stay was memorable and very enjoyable. The only negative was the exit onto the road which is very dangerous, we nearly had an accident as it is a blind corner and although there are mirrors opposite, you couldn't see approaching vehicles well, however, this wouldn't put us off returning, which we will one day ....... hopefully!

Una veramente grande esperienza!! La camera era comoda e la manutenzione casa eccellente. Ben posizionata con vista sulla Marina. L'accento di ogni mattina del mio 5 notti soggiorno è stato il colazione. Fantastica scelta e tutto bene cotto e presentato. Il personale, in particolare i formatori, erano sempre amichevoli e obbligatori. Non potevo fare nulla di male sul colazione. La situazione dell'hotel era ideale per me, ma forse non poteva essere adatta a tutti come si trovava fuori dalla città. La spiaggia era ben accanto all'hotel e anche fuori stagione c'erano diversi ristoranti vicino a lui. Tutti i membri del personale, i receptionisti, il personale del ristorante e il mantenimento della casa erano eccellenti, mi hanno sempre salutato con un sorriso e molto utile.

Me and my partner have just come back from a 7 night stay at Colina da Lapa apartments. Firstly I don’t understand some of these reviews, we had the best time here, it is a lovely quiet part of Portugal, our rooms were cleaned every day apart from a Sunday . It was like staying home from home, you had everything you needed, even had a washing machine which really takes the stress off of coming home this time of the year to get all your washing done! The beds are firm but very comfortable, I suffer with a bad back and not once did I wake up feeling sore. We hired a car for 3 days as we wanted to explore and I would highly recommend doing this, everything was sorted out by reception so we didn’t have the hassle of sorting it ourselves. Pool was lovely and clean, Only ate once in the little restaurant and it was ok for what we wanted Shops are quite a distance which was handy having the hire car . WiFi worked perfectly in our apartment. Would definitely return to Colina Da Lapa

Tre belle giornate in un hotel che ha rispettato pienamente le aspettative. Bellissimi l'atrio interno ed il ristorante con vista sulla spiaggia ”Praia da Rocha”. Di media dimensione è situato in un' ottima posizione, sul viale che costeggia il mare pieno di locali, con accesso diretto alla spiaggia ed un bel giardino erboso con piscina, ombrelloni e lettini. Ampie le camere e tutte con vista mare. Per la colazione e la cena ci sono tre turni, la sala non è grandissima e così si può pasteggiare in tutta tranquillità e sempre accompagnati dalla musica del pianobar. A differenza di molti altri hotel il menù, di ottima qualità, cambiava totalmente di giorno in giorno. Ottimo anche come base per il motogp di Portimao: a cinque minuti a piedi partono tutte i bus gratuiti che portano all'autodromo (a 20 km) senza fastidiose attese. Nota dolente è il parcheggio, nelle immediate vicinanze è difficile trovare posto ma si può parcheggiare a dieci minuti a piedi. Se torneremo a Portimao sarà una scelta obbligata.

Quiet, peaceful place but nothing available nearby except the excellent Quinta Dos Santos winery and restaurant - open 13.00 to 22.00. Our hotel room was clean and spacious and the staff really do try to do an excellent job. However the food is extremely disappointing and the only evening meal available is a buffet of mediocre, tasteless dishes. Two nights a week the restaurant is closed, one night Pizza is available and the other night Barbecue; if these are not to your taste you'll have to make do with bar snacks. It is mandatory to book a table for the evening restaurant but don't try and do this through reception, they will always tell you it is fully booked. However if you go to the restaurant personally most of the tables are free and you will be able to eat there. Apparently this is because a lot of ”all inclusive holidays” are booked there and so evening tables are prioritised for these people but most of them do not appear for dinner. Why reception is unaware of this none of the staff could explain. Apart from dining chairs at the Pool Bar and loungers round the pool there are no comfortable seats available. Certainly not one of the better places I have stayed in.

Don’t believe the negatives, these apartments are new, clean and have all required facilities, kitchen area, shower room and twin beds. Nice sunny balcony. There is a gymnasium on site and two swimming pools. Free shuttle bus to Gramacho and Pinta golf courses. I was on a golf trip, so exactly as i required, these are not really designed as family holiday apartments, albeit that families did seem to be enjoying them. If you want to walk. It’s only 1k to Gramacho club house and the adjacent supermarket, but remember there is the free shuttle. Staff were welcoming and helpful, I thoroughly recommend the Apartments, but if they want to improve things, a bar in the reception are, with snack options would be nice, but its not a game changer.

Esperienza positiva con riserva per poche cose. LOCATION 5 * vista sul mare soprattutto se acquistate le camere fronte mare, ma in alternativa c'è una terrazza bar eccellente. PERSONALE. Voto5* Squisito, molto educato, poco rumoroso e sempre disponibile (lavorano instancabilmente). COLAZIONE 4* molto curata ma una sala colazione troppo rumorosa se piena, forse con gli spazi a disposizione la logistica potrebbe esser curata in maniera differente. Inoltre i tavoli non sono disposti vista mare ma all'inverso e con un panorama così é un peccato. Manca il gluten free non esposta in angolo a parte. BOCCIATA LA SPIAGGIA VOTO 2*non c'è personale dunque se arrivi anche all'alba troverai le sdraio delle prime due file tutte occupate senza che vi sia l'ombra di nessuno ad esclusione delle asciugamani che le occupano. Idem in piscina. Il voto se si esclude questo sarebbe da 10*. Positive experience with reservations for a few things. LOCATION 5 * sea view especially if you buy the sea front rooms, but alternatively there is an excellent terrace bar. STAFF. Rating5 * Exquisite, very polite, not very noisy and always available (they work tirelessly). 4 * BREAKFAST very accurate but a breakfast room too noisy if full, perhaps with the spaces available, the logistics could be treated differently. In addition, the tables are not arranged with a sea view but in reverse and with a view like this is a shame. The gluten free is missing, not exposed in a separate corner. BOCCIATA THE BEACH VOTE 2 * there is no staff if you arrive even at dawn we will find the deckchairs in the first two rows all occupied without the shadow of anyone except for the towels and the equipment. Ditto in the pool. Excluding this, the vote would be 10*
