We stayed at a 3 BR Villa Premier. All the rooms and their ensuite bathrooms which was really appreciated. The service was also very good, everyone was attentive and polite, from the moment we brought our stuff down from the van, and until check-out. The rooms were clean and the design of the villa was practical but still very nice. Pool towels were also readily available everywhere and that was very convenient! They also had complimentary activities such as kayak, paddle board, and balsa raft which they tow towards the area for snorkeling! Super convenient. They had multiple pools and our villa was right across one so it was appreciated. The food was also delicious and I would say they charge a fair price for it. Some points of improvement. 1. Cala Trail - it was very rugged, the wooden path was rotten, and there were plenty of mosquitos. This was the path to the archery which we did not end up going anymore because of this. 2. The playground for kids were also dirty and the area had lots of mosquitos. 3. They did not serve ice cream at the main restaurant - they told us that this is part of in-room service. What a missed opportunity to sell ice cream by the beach hahaha 4. It was low tide every after lunch so there's no opportunity to swim at the beach - not sure if this is seasonal but quite disappointing that you can't swim at the beach during the afternoon. 5. We hired a banca during our stay and the seats of the banca could be improved - I've ridden on so many but the seats of this one wasn't comfortable. Just a thin wooden plank. 6. The staff when asked prior to our banca reservation also couldn't answer if they had life vests for infants. They said there were but there really weren't. 7. The driver's quarters need to be improved according to our driver. There was a foul smell, and no bed and pillow covers! We take care of our staff really well, and they deserve the same respect of having a decent place to stay. I hope you really improve on this.

Tutti e due i buffet avevano molte opzioni alimentari. I pasti per colazione sono stati più profumati di me. Ho preso 1 stella perché era difficile contattare il servizio clienti quando stavo chiedendo il resort. È stato necessario giorni prima che qualcuno mi rispondesse finalmente su Facebook Messenger. Ho sempre avuto la risposta automatica che diceva di contattarli via e-mail, ma nessuno ha risposto alla mia e-mail. Mia sorella ha provato a chiamare il numero di telefono sulla risposta automatica e sul sito web, ma nessuno ha mai risposto alle sue chiamate. Un giorno qualcuno mi ha finalmente risposto su Facebook Messenger. Da qui in poi, la comunicazione era molto meglio.
Event: Company Outing, overnight Persons: 100 Rooms - the reviews are real. They are all nice. Water supply at the room is also good. Ambiance - reviews are real. What is special here is that the place has a calm, relaxing vibe because of the lush trees/forest at a hill on one side, while the blue beach+waves at the other side. Food - reviews are real. They are yummy with different choices. Serving size is plenty, too. Customer service - u can find them anywhere so it’s easy to ask around. Pools - 1 for day tour guests, 1 for overnight guests. Beach has pebbles but swimmable and warm. Bring aqua shoes. Shampoo/soap smells so good bec of the tea tree. Amenities provided for us - tent, projector, screen, videoke for 4hrs (5k), paid ice with cooler. Drinks are pricey so we brought beers and paid for the corkage. I did not rate 5. But definitely above 4. - resort will not provide a sample menu so that you have an overview of menu. So the anxiety it caused us from finding out the food was there until we saw the food. What i like here: No need to walk very far to access the beach. All rooms are facing the beach and you just go out front and you already have access. Excellent place for elders and kids who love to run. It rained at night but their tent was arranged well and we did not get wet during our event. There was only 1 guest. I hope they did not get disturbed by the noise. This is Laiya so expect the 3-4 hours travel time from NCR. Maybe please add lotion inside the room. :) I will definitely go back here with my family.

Abbiamo visitato recentemente il El Hardin de Zaida per un soggiorno di notte con mia madre e mia zia, e posso dire che è stato tutto piacevole. Il luogo era una proprietà coperta al confine di Laiya e San Juan. Le procedure di check-in erano grandi e abbiamo avuto un trattamento speciale di essere aggiornati al soggiorno premium che ci ha dato accesso alla piscina esclusiva che è vicino alla nostra camera d'albergo. Per la stanza, era pulito e senza spot, ma il desk vanity non aveva uno specchio davanti a lui. Il bagno era bello. Ha un rack secco, un bidet, ma la doccia ha bisogno di un matto per evitare infortuni inutili. Il cibo era splendido. La cena tardiva, una serata a Rudy e al colazione. Uno dei nostri decisi molto considerati per scegliere El Hardin de Zaida è il Spa. Prima del viaggio, abbiamo chiesto al posto di chiedere se dovessimo prenotare una riserva per la terapia, ma ci è stato detto che potremmo avere i servizi sul posto. Quando siamo arrivati, ci è stato detto che c'era solo un terapeuta disponibile. Pertanto, sarebbe impossibile per noi di disporre 2.5 ore di servizi di benessere insieme. Spero che questo possa essere affrontato con cura per impedire agli ospiti di aspettare la disponibilità del bagno. In generale, il soggiorno e il cibo erano grandi.
Important things first, would we recommend – simple answer “NO” Main issues: 1. We booked a room for 3 nights for my wide’s 40th birthday with a Queen bed. Sorry a 4ft6 bed is not a Queen bed. I know historically that this was sometimes considered Queen in olden days in PH, it is certainly no longer the case, and thus we consider this as false advertising. 2. Noise very old window mount style AC that did not keep the room at a comfortable temperature level and caused us both to have very poor sleep. This was raised after the second night with reception however there was no improvement. a. This type of AC is always noisy, and I noted this is not an inverter type, a new split inverter AC would pay for itself in 6 months! b. The location of the AC is wrong, tucked away in a corner. One of the most frequent design misunderstandings is air flow is more important than temperature. The best location for the AC is opposite the bed in any bedroom Unfortunately, I have only just now looked at various reviews online, and the above seems to be a recurring issue since the hotel was rebranded under the “Henry” name, and these 2 issues are not acceptable and consistence with the level and price point the hotel is trying to portray. They seem to have gone for looks with a freshly painted “Henry brand” colour scheme and interior design, but not looked at basic hotelier fundamentals. The fact this was also my wife’s 40th birthday made the issues doubly disappointing. Other items, starting with the good Pros: • Well-kept gardens • Friendly and professional reception & restaurant staff • Modern electronic safe • Quiet location • Food was good standard and okay price Cons: • I sent the hotel an email 4 days before arrival asking if it was possible to arrange a bouquet of flowers – no response • No in room fridge • Housekeeping never visited the room during our whole stay, late afternoon each day we visited reception to get what we needed • Swimming pool is small and with only 3 sunbeds • Beautiful looking beach, but is not soft but sharp sand which is impossible to walk across in bare feet • They messed up the bill and undercharged us on checkout and contacted us when we were already well away from the hotel, had to settle the balance by private GCash • No TV (I understand before the rebranding to “Henry” there were flat screen TVs). Whilst this didn’t really concern us. I would expect guests with children during the likely long period of rain this time of year would find it an issue • The restaurant ran out of SMB (despite shop over the road selling by the crate) and red wine Considering everything, obviously we would not consider staying at the hotel again, and considering the root causes, we would be unlikely to consider the “Henry” brand for any future needs.

I'm rating Cocoons a 5 out 5 firstly because of the very attentive, well-informed, and approachable employees. The Cocoon itself is relatively small, but that's the main reason why it's called a cocoon and this is a glamping concept hotel. They replenish the toiletries, coffee, water inside the room on a daily basis. They change towels upon request which is good as I'm not a fan of hanging towels outside hotel rooms. The internet is not good, we had to use our prepaid wifi during our stay. The bed, pillows, and duvet were comfortable and of good quality. It would be better if there are at least hooks for clothes inside the rooms. Floor rug should also be in the room upon check-in, we had to request it but they gave it right away. If there's a way to address the hanging of clothes and towels outside the rooms that would be good as it takes away the beauty of the cocoons. Maybe a cloth string behind cocoons, not sure if that would work. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. There are common toilets near cocoons so finding one won't be a hassle. Pools were heated and clean. Shore is also clean and definitely ”swimmable”. Breakfast at The Sands was okay, but breakfast at Captain Barbozza was amazing! Had dinner at Captain B twice and loved the food, drinks, and ambience. 10/10! Overall it was a great glamping experience.
