A causa di alcuni problemi di ultima istanza con l'alloggio a Dunedin, abbiamo ‘scrambled’ per trovare un buon alloggio a Timaru. Ci siamo piacevolmente sorpresi dall'esperienza degli appartamenti Coastal Ridge. La struttura di terra era pulita, ben attrezzata, spaziale e soddisfaceva tutte le nostre esigenze. I manager e il personale erano molto utili e accoglienti. Quando torniamo a NZ, intendiamo rimanere di nuovo a Costal Ridge.

DATE OF TRAVEL: July 2023 Stayed here for 3 days for a business trip. First impressions were.... disappointing. The hotel was empty, the chef was also at reception and the building looks run down. HOWEVER, check in was fast, the rooms were well appointed, if well travelled, and the bed was very comfy. Sadly I didn't get back to my hotel room until late night each night but the breakfast was fantastic and affordable. All the staff were super friendly, welcoming and accomondating. Room walls were thick as I didn't hear my colleagues in the other rooms at all, even when we were talking. Shower was great. Good pressure and the bathroom had all the basic amenities you would need for a regional motel. Though some people may not like it, the interestingly spaced corridors made the hotel feel like a rabbit warren and I actually quite enjoyed that. The gym was probably the best one I'd seen in all of my hotel stays in Canterbury. I was really impressed. Sadly it was closed before I left and when I came back so didn't get a chance to try it. It's only a few minutes away from the main restaurant ***** of the town and the food at all of them was fantastic. Caroline Bay Beach is beautiful and I enjoyed my morning walks there. Would I stay again? Though I may never have a need to again, most definitely if the need did arise. First looks are certainly deceiving with this place but push through it and you'll find yourself a gem of a stay =)

We stayed here for one night towards the end of a recent South Island road trip. I phoned and made a booking a couple of days before we stayed, requesting a studio unit with a king bed, and ground floor access (I am not too steady on my feet and find it easier to have few or no stairs). We arrived just before 2pm, I’d phoned to make sure the room was ready. The gentleman at reception was very nice and showed my husband the studio unit, which had 8 stairs up to it – the section that the motel is built on slopes so most units have some stairs to a greater or lesser degree. The proprietor then offered us a two bedroom unit, with only two stairs to get to it, for the same price. We were very grateful, that was a lovely offer and we took it, as it was much easier for me. The unit (number 8) is very well appointed and though it was a cold evening it heated up really quickly once we’d turned the heater on. There is a full sized stove so you can cook full meals if you wish. There’s a dining table and chairs, and a couch. There’s also a single bed in the lounge area. There is a King bed in one bedroom, and a double (might be a Queen?) and a single in the second bedroom. The bathroom is very roomy. The shower was very good, great pressure. There is also a spa bath in the bathroom. There is also proper MySky so you can record channels of your choice if you wish. Everything in our unit was very clean. There is a bit of road noise but since it’s on SH1 that is only to be expected. It certainly didn’t stop us from getting a good night’s sleep – we both slept very well. There is a Pak’n Save supermarket, a petrol station, and various eateries (McDonald’s, KFC among others) a very short distance along the road. Thank you to the Parklands Motor Lodge for making our stay so enjoyable. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Mia madre e io eravamo al Fitzgerald sul Re a fine anno,2020,mi sono ripreso con loro qualche mese fa,ho detto a una signora di nome Jane,ho bisogno dell'unità di disabilità,numero 1 per mia madre che non poteva camminare,ho fatto molto chiaro a lei, Non mi ha nemmeno detto che altri si erano trasferiti dopo l'ottobre 2020, uno era ancora lì, mi ha detto che, avevo prenotato l'unità di disabilità per il 27 ottobre 2021,non potevo farlo perché c'era un incidente di camion la rimandavo in buona fede Perché non potevo farlo in quella data, fino al giorno dopo, quando mi ha detto che c'era già qualcuno in quella unità di disabilità, ho detto che sarei stato al giorno dopo, quando ero a Oamaru, l'ho messo in aria quando mi ha detto che sapeva dove hai unità, ho detto unità Una persona che ha detto no, io ti ho già detto qualcuno in quella zona, attraverso di essa era per una nit che la persona era lì,lamentarmi per e-mail quando sono arrivato a quel motel giovedì 28 ottobre 2021,non potevo usare il doccia dove ha le gambe di crook Quando le ho mentito per posta elettronica, mi è stato detto di lasciare il giorno dopo il marito, fortunatamente avevo già avuto un altro motel, con un'unità di disabilità, suo marito mi ha detto che andava, Poi un'ora dopo mi disse di andare a casa, perché i puliziani volevano pulire il motel, mi disse che era una comunicazione sbagliata tra lei, e non era, era molto generosa per me, se non avessi un posto dove andare, sarei stata bloccata, con mia madre era in 80, Non si preoccupavano, erano buoni l'anno scorso 2020,WINZS li usa per l'alloggio di emergenza, lei è molto arrogante, abbiamo avuto solo una notte lì, quindi doveva ricominciare un permesso che mi aveva detto che mi aveva prenotato per il 21 novembre che non era nemmeno vero che me ne andava presto Novembre, quindi, se la lettura non tocca questi due motel

The motel is conveniently located near the Botanical Gardens south of the centre of Timaru. It is on a main road, but we heard no road noise, despite being only two units back from the entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had the impression that our unit had been built a couple of decades back, but had been renovated to a modern standard. It was spacious, with a large living room, a small kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and two bedrooms each with a large double bed (this meant the space around them was quite narrow). We were very comfortable there.

Stavo qui in un studio reale e ha dormito una grande notte. Le unità sono un po 'dato ma molto pulito . Molto comodo per la baia di Caroline e un breve passo nel centro. Buono prezzo! Il personale è amichevole e utile. Noi ripreseremo definitivamente quando passiamo o per un soggiorno esteso

Stayed at Aspen on King for 4 nights with my Ma and we absolutely loved it. Just a hop into the village and such a great unit too. We had one of the wheelchair access units which meant it had a big open wet floor shower, it was great for Ma that it wasn't a shower over bath situation. The wee kitchen was perfect for cooking a meal at night and the amenities were ample. Hosts were great also, very obliging 👍. Beds were very comfy and pillows very soft. Full size fridge and had a front and back door which created a nice breezy flow through. Television with DVD built in and tones of great DVDs to borrow from the reception.

What a lovely experience. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the lovely woman who served me at reception. She was so warm, friendly and welcoming. Wonderful manaakitanga. The room was perfect for what I needed and super toasty warm when I arrived on a -2 degree evening. Good selection of hot drinks and was given a free can of drink on arrival too, as well as some drink vouchers for a local establishment. Room was extremely clean and well kept. Bed was the perfect firmness and very comfy. I also took advantage of the spa bath. Honestly, cannot complain! Would definitely stay there again.

We have stayed here at Baywatch Motor Lodge several times previously & will definitely be back in the future. We stayed in a ground floor studio over looking Caroline bay. Had a epic sunset & equally stunning sunrise the next morning. Great size room with 2 super comfy chairs to relax in that evening. Very clean & great hospitality from owners Ray & Debbie. Excellent room - Clean & tidy Host was excellent At the time I booked (with short notice) I could only get two nights when I needed 4 due to all of Timaru booked out months prior. However after talking with staff to try and get extra nights, within 24 hours the motel contacted me to see if I had found any accommodation and offered me an extra night due to a cancellation. I believe many other accommodation providers would not have bothered to try and contact me. This is great customer service
