Struttura storica in piena ristrutturazione.. risulta, al momento, per lo più fatiscente. Il costo tuttavia è alto! Per una doppia in mezza pensione più di 200€ a notte. Al ristorante si mangia così così.. devo dire che delle 2 cene fatte, la prima non ne azzeccavano una, ma poi il giorno dopo molto bene devo dire. La colazione non è da grand hotel.. i servizi vantati non sono poi veritieri.. palestra inesistente (2 attrezzi malmessi), piscina cupa e poco illuminata.. la spa funziona ed è bella ma è a pagamento, come pure il roof Restaurant all ultimo piano (che non è quello della mezza pensione). Si tratta di un ristorante goumet che propone menu fisso di 7 portate. Non abbiamo mangiato. Il posto non è poi così facile da raggiungere dal porto se hai bambini e valigia. Faccio presente che sono uno sportivo, ma davvero la camminata non è agevole. Insomma per farla breve, a mio avviso, se si ha come me l’idea di prenotare il “grand” hotel come punto di riferimento per visitare gozo, secondo me al prezzo che ha non vale la pena. Si può visitare in giornata (anche con bambini) o tutt al più soggiornare altrove, vicino a ramla bay. La zona del porto è davvero povera e nel circondario non c’è nulla. Poi ti ritrovi al grand’ hotel a fare niente e guardare inglesi bere vino o birra guardando il panorama. Che poi è di navi.. non è la costiera amalfitana. Io dico che questo hotel e’ per inglesi più che altro.

Fabulous hotel stayed in room 10 this had a jacuzzi. Frankie the reservations manager very helpful an asset to the hotel. The room had a huge balcony with views all around. We received a bottle of wine and water from the hotel this was a nice touch. The cleaners came in whilst we had breakfast must be thanked for a great job. Breakfast was in the pizzeria downstairs - plenty of choice only gripe you had to pay for coffee. Bus stop outside hotel. Del Capo Pizzeria below the hotel did fantastic pizzas. Gebuba bar in Nadur square definitely worth a visit so many drinks choices Govann the owner very chatty and welcoming. The snack bar in the square is also nice for a snack and a coffee. If you dont want to drive the buses are good but we also used Bolt very good and reasonable. Used fast ferry to Gozo 45 minutes - excellent and really good value. The hotel was a great base with staff very friendly and helpful yes I would definitely stay again loads of walks and beautiful scenery.

We booked the penthouse room to have a terrace where one can enjoy the view with a cup of tea or a glass of wine Unfortunately the terrace has a very high wall and once you sit down the view succumbs to a horrendous wall. We had issues with the tv as it kept going out of the programm and we couldn’t watch anything. We do call and fair enough a very polite lady came to check the issue, she couldn’t at first and after 15 odd minutes she managed although she told us it could be a faulty box. After she left the same thing happened , we didn’t call again as she had to come back from another town and as we were there just for a day we opted not to. When we returned after a lovely and enjoyable dinner at the Rendezvous restaurant and went to sleep we noticed that 3 flood lights were left on all night and light was coming in the room as the curtains rail was around 10cm away from the wall. As I am a light sleeper I couldn’t sleep at all. Anyway in the morning we went down to a most enjoyable breakfast and went to pay for the night we spent . I never complained but I did tell the receptionist about the tv problem and I mentioned it so the next person won’t have the same issues. I sent an email pin pointing the issues we had , I never asked either for a discount or my money back. All I did raise the issues as they were easy to solve , and if they did they wouldn’t have to face unhappy clients. Well well all hell broke lose as all excuses under the sun came poring down, such as the floodlights have been put up just three weeks ago….. the horrendous wall is what it is and nothing can do about it as it’s an old wall … Then a phone came and I was told I was imagining things by this fine lady on the other side of the phone, now that’s customer care at it’s best . If she had the time to notice that i wasn’t asking for any money back then she wouldn’t have been so offensive and so defensive. Sorry Quant but the issues are easily tend to The terrace should have an elevated area where one can sit and enjoy the weather and the views and the light from the flood lights can easily be solved by fixing the curtain further closer to the wall . This will prevent the amount of light going in

This hotel is located in a quiet part of the village close to a small church and within walking distance of the centre. It’s modern in style and quite clean. The only disappointing elements of our stay was the lack of insulation between the rooms, making them noisy if someone checks in the middle of the night, and the breakfast. The service at breakfast was abysmal. Guests had to wait half an hour for fried eggs and baked beans. The toaster is not fit for purpose and creates unnecessary queues in an already stuffy room. They only serve ultra processed sliced bread which is a pity considering the lovely bread Gozo bakers could produce for this hotel. The fruit options could be so much better, whole apples and oranges are simply not enough, a plate of sliced fruit would have made the offering so much better for conscious eaters. The mattresses are so hard and uncomfortable, they need mattress toppers badly. On a positive note, the staff are really nice and welcoming.

Un angolo di paradiso, immerso in una macchia mediterranea che offre un’infinita varietà di piante. Bungalows in muratura che garantiscono spazi interni ed esterni , privacy e assoluta armonia con l’ambiente circostante. Due piscine esterne ( una per adulti , l’altra per adulti e bambini), Arredi delle parti comuni curati e raffinati. Personale molto professionale. La “ spiaggia” , raggiungibile con navetta, è in realtà una piattaforma , posta a livelli differenti, di cemento con lettini ed ombrelloni con accesso al mare tramite scaletta. Unica nota migliorabile è il ristorante, non certo per la sua bellissima collocazione intorno ad un ultracentenario albero di carrubo quanto piuttosto nell’offerta troppo ripetitiva.
