What a lovely place. The view from the terrace is terrific. Often photos on *********** make accommodation look prettier than it really is, but there really is a magnificent view of the river, the city walls and city. The room was comfy and had everything I needed, including a heater, which was very welcome and a rare find during my travels. Breakfast was good (juice, tea/coffee, yogurt, cheese, several breads, jams and honey, and eggs had I wanted them). The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. One met me at the gate to the medina to guide me to the place initially and kindly carried my backpack back there when I left. I really liked all the shelves in the bathroom too. Usually my things end up on the floor as few accommodation places seem to think of shelving for guests. The bathrobes were a nice touch as well. If I return to Azemmour, I'll definitely stay again. The art work in the various rooms of the building was a bonus too and lovely to look at.

Ho soggiornato dal 2 (arrivo) al 9 gennaio 2023 (partenza). Resort molto grande, esteticamente bello, costruito a ridosso della spiaggia sull'oceano Atlantico. Aerosol di iodio prodotto dal frangersi delle lunghe onde dell'oceano garantito h24. Personale numeroso, onnipresente, efficiente e cortese. Tutti i giorni, nel tardo pomeriggio, le camerire al piano e/o la reception mi chiedevano se avessi bisogno di qualcosa. Ho usufruito della mezza pensione (colazione e cena) e ho trovato il cibo molto buono: ottima la colazione con salato, dolce, uova in tutte le maniere, yogurt, formaggi e spremute di ogni tipo. Ottime le verdure e la frutta locali, i vari tipi di pane, le carni (agnello, pollo, manzo), il pesce (soprattutto fritto), e le specialità marocchine, indiane e persino giapponesi. Ho sempre digerito benissimo senza alcuno strascico di sete notturna. Si capisce che le materie prime sono genuine o comunque pochissimo trattate e sicuramente non raffinate. Se siete golfisti non potete non giocare il campo da golf che fa parte del complesso. Grande percorso disegnato da Gary Player, impegnativo per i lunghi fairways, i profondi bunker, i green dalle pendenze imperscrutabili e per le distese di ”unghia della strega” una pianta grassa con bellissimi fiori dove non troverete più la vostra pallina da golf. Molto buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Unico neo gli orari di accesso alla SPA, differenziati per uomini e donne, con gli orari maschili poco fruibili per chi gioca a golf.

L'hotel si trova a 7 km dalla città e si affaccia su un campo da golf, inoltre gode di accesso diretto alla spiaggia privata attrezzata. Molto curate ed eleganti le parti comuni, purtroppo non posso dire la stessa cosa della camera. In qualità di soci gold abbiamo avuto upgrade in suite. La camera si sviluppava su due piani con al primo piano salotto, bagno e terrazza attrezzata, scala interna ed al secondo piano altra terrazza con tavolino e sedie, un secondo bagno, camera moderna e comoda, con terrazza solarium attrezzata. L'hotel risente del passare degli anni e dei danni causati dalla vicinanza all'oceano in termini di ruggine, ecc. Ma è comunque demandato al personale accertarsi che le tende non siano sporche e strappate come nel soggiorno della nostra suite. Assolutamente necessario rifare i bagni ormai con specchi arrugginiti, docce che perdono e che per l'aspetto così datato danno idea di scarsa pulizia. Un vero peccato perché potenzialmente potrebbe essere un hotel di grande livello. Ottimo invece il personale sia alla reception che al ristorante. L'hotel dispone inoltre di parcheggio interno.

Prima di tutto, sono arrivato alle 12:45 e è stato bello avere un check-in precoce. La vista è davvero buona perché c'è il mare proprio davanti all'hotel. Il personale era amichevole. La parte negativa è che la temperatura dell'acqua non è ben controllata, mentre l'acqua calda e l'acqua fredda vengono fuori, che è un po' pericolosa per i bambini. E il ginnastico era pagato e i bambini non potevano entrare, quindi questo era incomodo. In generale molto buono.

Très bonne literie et personnel sympathique La piscine est en travaux ! Le restaurant ne sert que le petit déjeuner il faut donc sortir pour profiter des restaurants locaux. L'emplacement est proche de la plage, mais en face du Mac Do et de ses nuisances! Profitez plutôt des restaurants de poisson sur le port.

Excellent location on seafront - only 20 minute stroll on promenade to the port & ”Portuguese Medina” with a nearby market selling fresh fruits and snacks. Ibis Budget is only a short 10 minute walk from a large Carrefour supermarket which also sells alcohol as well as foods. Ibis Budget staff all very helpful from Reception Staff to the cleaning staff who serviced the room daily! A little ”quirk” was the locking of the room from outside - insert the ”keycard” into the slot before closing the door - the door will then lock upon removal of the card. If in doubt, the helpful cleaning staff will show you the procedure! El Jadida still a little corner of Morocco that the European tourists have yet to ”explore” as the nearest airport is Casablanca. There is a 2 hourly train service from Casa Voyageurs with a journey time of only 90 minutes. If coming from Marrakech, book a 49 dirham (£4) advance ticket (normal price around £12) on the ONCF website - not bad for 250km trip compared to the ”normal fare”. Leaving Marrakech at 1450, changing trains at Casablanca Oasis station, arrival in El Jadida at 1905 with some spectacular scenery along the way in comfortable air conditioned coaches travelling at speeds up to 160km/hr! These trains run every 2 hours from Marrakech and provide a through service to Fes or by changing trains at Casa Voyageurs, Tangiers can easily be reached on the new ”Al Boraq” high speed service! This part of Morocco definitely a post-Covid relaxing place to enjoy +25° temperatures in February whilst the numerous storms bring chaotic scenes across Europe!..Thankyou Ibis Budget!

THE GOOD SIDE: The food is routinely local and tasty, though it is not possible to comment on the food preparation area, because it is not visible to the guests. The foreigners are not resistant to the street-type food preparation method, and it is of utmost importance that the food served is not polluted. The reception staff is approachable, supportive, and flexible. They will try very kindly to find an option on any question a guest have. But they are attempting to be too kind. Thus, frequently breaking off a dialog with one guest in the middle of a conversation and starting to communicate with another. If it's not an emergency, then this is disrespectful and increases the quality of information exchange. This kind of bad-manner can be improved by proper Guest Service Manager training. THE NOT GOOD SIDE: It is an insult to demand 60 euros per night for this Hotel. Tri-stars are too high-rated and not deserved. The room condition is unacceptable. Photos attached. The findings are as follows: 01. Air Conditioning is included in the bill but not operational. After consulting with the reception and aiming for a perk, their defense was A/C out of order due to the off-season period. (How much is the price for this room in the ON-season period?) 02. Bed sheet found not fresh but worn. 03. The mattress was found filthy and saturated with unknown fluids. 04. Toilet wall brackets loose. 05. Shower cabin tails are filthy. 06. Shower cabin moisture went sagging. 07. Shower cabin glass door attachments are damaged, thus offsetting the glass and causing scratches. 08. The shower drainage is not draining. 09. The door frames are filthy and damaged. 10. The finishing slats are detached. 11. Wall painting traces are visible over the furniture. 12. The toilet-purpose glass is resting on the handwashing bench without a napkin. 13. The shortness of the toilet handwashing faucet makes it difficult to wash hands. 14. Damaged furniture. Worn edges, detached and hanging shelves. 15. The entrance door has no door lock strike plate. 16. Hotel elevator floor level indicator out of order 17. All night, there was a slight but outstanding knocking sound coming somewhere from a nearby room. It was a frequent but not a constant nocking. Tricky to determine the location, which could drive one to insanity. All these deficiencies have been tolerated because of an emergency one-night stay. The current condition is a health risk situation.
