We had spent for a 1 night..Great location just near by tissa wewa. Absolutely amazing and friendly staff who stand to help anytime..so I would say staff are exceptional & very polite ..swimming pool also awesome. Spacious and clean rooms. Buffet- excellent,,foods so tasty A really great place to a relax .The staff are exceptional

We had a pleasant two night stay at the Blue Turtle Hotel. The room was decent and clean enough, though a bit dark. The bathroom was very spacious. The pool was nice, though not sparkling clean. The restaurant was good, and despite what some other reviews say, we found the food to be fine. As we had paid for breakfast with the room, they kindly packed it to take with us when we left at 4.30am for a safari. The staff were very attentive, and the manager even supported us with directions to drive to Dikwella as we were checking out. The location of the hotel is not that great, though it does the job for people who need to stay in the area in order to be picked up for a safari. On a separate note, it is quite shocking (and off-putting) to see how defensive (and borderline rude) some of the hotel's responses are to the less favourable reviews on here. Especially those highlighting challenges relating to accessibility etc. The hotel should remember that platforms like this are not only channels to make valid complaints, but also for guests to share their experiences to help others who might have specific requirements.

Siamo rimasti qui solo una notte per fare il safari, ma è un posto molto bello. E' pulito e spazioso. Il letto è comodo. Il bagno è molto bello, anche se la doccia non ha pressione. L'ospite era carino e molto utile.

Honestly this place is so underrated! I had low expectations for my stay considering the previous ratings. But this became one of the best stay experience for my family! They had near rooms with AC and hot water. Fresh cooked buffet breakfast with a SriLankan cusine style and very accommodative of my diet requirements. The rooms were very comfortable with a good view from balcony looking over the pool. The boys that ran the check in counter were not so comfortable with English but they were very friendly and easy to deal with. Was expensive stay but worth every rupees spent!

From arrival onwards this was a fantastic hotel. Lovely helpful staff, beautiful room - we stayed in a ground floor room overlooking the pool. Great choice of food in the restaurant, which had a chilled atmosphere. Well placed for visiting Yala National Park, our driver picked us up at the front of the hotel.

Firstly I'd like to say that the room, hotel, grounds and surrounding area are lovely. The room is huge, nicely decorated and blooming lovely. The rest of the hotel has a very warm, welcoming and cosy feel to it. I wasn't able to try the hotels breakfast as I left early the next day for the safari that the hotel had organised for me. There's parking, aircon in the rooms. But it's safe to say that the pictures don't do the place justice. hmmm... the negative. There's a few little things that stopped the place being fantastic. When I turned up I was greeted by two of the hotels assistants. Suffice to say that their greeting was a bit frosty. The complete polar opposite as to what I'd experienced at the other hotels I'd stayed in around Sri Lanka. They looked at me as if I was going to rob the place. So, before going to my room I order from the menu what I'd like for dinner and then say three times and pointed to the menu, that I'd like a coffee. It never came. No biggy, but it's the little things. Next, prior to my stay, I got in contact with the hotel about a Safari. Twice the hotel confirmed the price. Low and behold, when I get to the hotel I'm told that the price i was told was in correct. Of course the price was more expensive. It's silly it's never cheaper is it haha. So again this leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, because it's not like the hotel doesn't sort these tours on a regular basis. Lastly, it would have been nice to swim in the pool if it wasn't turning green.
