"유다나카역에 도착하여 핸드폰으로 전화를 걸으려고 했었으나 전화가 되지 않아 역직원 분의 도움으로 송영서비스를 요청 할 수 있었구요 시간이 얼마 걸리지 않아 직원분이 오셔서 빠르고 편하게 이동 할 수 있었어요. 도착했을때부터 문앞까지 나와서 친절하게 응대해주셨고 근처 온천 투어, 료칸 시설물 이용에 대해서 친절하게 잘 설명해주었어요. 저희는 4인 가족(성인:2명, 아이:2명)인데 숙소는 작지 않았어요 입실 당일 저녁식사와 다음날 아침식사가 제공이 되었구요 식사는 너무 맛있게 잘 먹었구 음식을 서빙하시는 직원분들도 너무 친절하셨어요. 저녁식사를 마치고 방에 돌아오면 포근한 이불이 셋팅되어 있어서 편안하게 쉴 수 있어요. 다음날 퇴실할때도 송영서비스를 통해 원숭이공원으로 이동이 가능했구요 전체적으로 직원분들이 다들 너무 친절하셔서 기분이 좋았어요 시설도 깨끗하고 주변에 볼거리도 많아서 다음에 꼭 다시 가고 싶은 곳이에요 다른 분들에게도 적극 추천합니다"

"Excellent location next to ski lift at Sun Valley. 3 mins walk to the local bus station with buses going to Nagano Station direct (express service) or Yudanaka station.
Room and bath room (2 basins and 1 sink) are spacious - we had 3 futons and 2 single beds for our family of 5. They may be a little dated but very clean. Room has a view to outside snowy forest during our time.
Highlights of our stay:
Half board meals - authentic Japanese! Big portions and lots of pretty and dishes served! Free coffee everyday in late afternoon.
Service was impeccable - the front desk lady (very friendly and excellent service disposition) , and the elderly folks who served in the restaurant - thumbs up!"

"Some of the best customer service we've ever experienced. Ms. Abe was wonderful and her English was excellent. The outdoor onsen was perfect, truly beautiful. A big, well landscaped area, truly relaxing. All guests get to reserve 30 minutes of private use each evening, which was wonderful, but you can also go back during men's time, women's time, or mixed if you want to enjoy some more. The breakfast was also very good, and the room was sizeable. This was our favourite stay in Japan."

"Нам очень понравился опыт остановки в рёкане.
Приветливая хозяйка, аккуратный дом. Нас угостили чаем и булочками. Расположение очень удобно, возле вокзала.
Во дворе очень красивый пруд с рыбками кои.
Понравился опыт общественной ванны. Всего в рёкане 3 ванны: 2 общественные и 1 закрытая. Я посетила одну общественную, бассейн был на улице, что создавало дополнительную атмосферу этому месту.
Немного озадачило раннее выделение в 10 часов утра, но хозяйка любезно разрешила оставить наш багаж у нее на дольше"

UUtente anonimoAlcuni membri dello staff sono pessimi. Quando siamo arrivati verso le 9 del mattino per il pre-check-in, ci è stato assegnato il primo piano. Abbiamo chiesto un piano più alto, ma il personale ha rifiutato categoricamente, dicendo che era tutto prenotato. Ho suggerito: siamo stati i primi ad arrivare, quindi perché non chiedere ”chi prima arriva, meglio alloggia”? Il personale è rimasto per un attimo senza parole e, dopo averci pensato un po', ci hanno fatto spostare al terzo piano. Quando abbiamo ritirato le chiavi nel pomeriggio, ci hanno spostato in una stanza con una vista leggermente peggiore. Questo membro dello staff non ci ha ancora dato il buono sconto per il biglietto del parco delle scimmie delle nevi. Soltanto il giorno dopo un altro membro dello staff ce lo ha dato, dopo avercelo chiesto. Durante questo viaggio ho soggiornato in 6 hotel in Giappone per un totale di 10 notti. Non è la prima o la seconda volta che ho una brutta esperienza con l'assegnazione delle camere.
A parte quel pessimo membro del personale, il resto del personale, i servizi delle camere, il design dell'intero hotel, la colazione e la cena sono davvero molto molto molto buoni.

AAVNN HolidayIl mio soggiorno in questo ryokan a Shibu Onsen è stato un'esperienza inoltrabile! Da quando siamo arrivati, l'ospitalità è stata impeccabile. Il ryokan ha onsen privati che possono essere prenotati in anticipo, offrendo un'esperienza intima e serena. Il bagno nelle acque calde, minerali ricchi, mentre guardava la bellezza naturale circostante, è stato un punto di vista del viaggio.
Il servizio di navetta gratuito di ryokan ha reso l’esplorazione della zona incredibilmente conveniente. Siamo stati trasportati facilmente al iconico Snow Monkey Park, la stazione ferroviaria vicina, e altre attrazioni locali, che hanno aggiunto all’esperienza senza saldatura.
L'esperienza di mangiare non era altro che spettacolare. È stato servito in un ambiente tranquillo, con piatti bellissimi preparati che mostravano il meglio degli ingredienti stagionali e locali. I gusti erano autentici e deliziosi,

BBryce van de LaarFrom the moment you enter Kokuya Ryokan, be prepared to leave the real world behind and fully immerse yourself in the experience. You swap your shoes for slippers at the door and don’t see them again until you leave. You will receive a warm welcome from polite and gentle-mannered staff, get taken up to your beautiful room, and once you’ve changed into your traditional yukata, it’s time to let the relaxation begin. The multi-course dinner will probably be one of the best meals you’ve had in your life, with many unusual textures and flavors to try. The futons are comfortable, and your room is kept toasty warm. There are even skincare products to keep you pampered and moisturized between soaks in the onsen. Honestly, you won’t even need to open your suitcase while you’re there.
The staff will take you through all the logistics when you arrive, but there are some things that might be useful to know in advance.
- The ryokan sends a shuttle to Yudanaka station at about 15:00 to collect new arrivals, so time your journey to take advantage of this benefit.
- The ryokan also offers guests the opportunity to catch a shuttle to the Snow Monkey Park immediately after breakfast the next morning.
- After you leave the ryokan, they will take your luggage down to the coffee shop opposite the station, so you don’t need to worry about those logistics.
- Trains from Yudanaka back to Nagano leave at 12:30 and 15:30.
- The ryokan itself has several private onsens that you can reserve for a 45-minute slot. Because the onsens are on the property, you can go in with your partner or travel companions regardless of gender. It’s a boutique hotel, so you don’t have to worry about not getting access to all the onsens you want.
- The ryokan is on the main road of the Shibu Onsen town. The hotel will give you a key so you can wonder down the main road, visiting any of the public onsens you wish - however, with so many gorgeous and more private onsens in the hotel itself, you probably won’t have time or the desire for this.
- Also, there is a coffee machine in the room! (I was worried about having to survive without coffee, and this turned out to be an unfounded concern).
We had an incredible and totally indulgent time at Kokuya. Experiencing a traditional ryokan is a privilege that you should try at least once if you can. And adding the Snow Monkeys in give the trip a double purpose, making it that much more memorable. The only thing that would have made the trip better is if we had been allowed to linger longer over every course of our dinner.

The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range.
We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect.
We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night.
There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there.

L'hotel dispone anche di un'abitazione pubblica, che è separata dal sesso e dove si può fare una doccia. La stanza è tradizionalmente giapponese con un matto tatami, futon e tavolo basso. Era caldo e accogliente e c'era spazio. Si è fornito un po'di tè e si può fare il vostro tè. Si ottiene le mutandine, un yukata per persona e le scarpe tradizionali di legno giapponese per l'esterno.
Se rimani qui, hai la possibilità di usare le 9 onsen pubbliche. Tuttavia, queste sono a poca distanza dall'hotel. Il coppia non può parlare inglese, ma con un traduttore siamo stati in grado di comunicare. Dopo le 18:00 è stato difficile trovare un ristorante aperto nel villaggio.
Non c'è problema con il deposito del bagaglio in hotel dopo l'uscita.
Il parco scimmie di neve era facile da raggiungere a piedi, anche se era più di 3 km.

UUtente ospiteLocated just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ”non-smoking”. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!

HHenry 7hangOur family made a special trip from Tokyo to Nagano, and besides exploring the surrounding attractions, watching the snow monkeys soaking in the hot springs of Nozawa, and visiting the Togakushi Shrine, the highlight of this trip was staying at Issa no Komichi Biyu no Yado.
Initially, we had modest expectations, thinking of it as just another experience. However, upon arriving in the snowy Yudanaka Shibu Onsen, we were immediately impressed by the warm and professional hospitality. From the thoughtful reception to the exquisite dinner and the unique public onsen, every aspect exceeded our expectations and left us pleasantly surprised. This wasn’t just a hotel stay—it was an unforgettable journey into the heart of Japanese onsen culture.
If you’re planning a trip to Nagano, this is definitely a place worth visiting to experience the perfect blend of hot springs and nature!

YYvesPI only stayed one night in this beautiful ryokan and in Yamanouchi but I could easily have stayed longer, as there seems to have trekking opportunities in the area. The ryokan itself is great on all levels: clean, quiet at night and has an authentic feel. The staff is very helpful and speaks fluent English. When you arrive, it will provide you with traditional Japanese clothing in which you'll wander by the streets, go to restaurants and most importantly, explore the 9 public and free onsen in the village. I slept in a 3 bed dormitory and hadn't slept so well for several days. A free shuttle service will bring you to the next bus station (perhaps train station as well)

KKheng Hua TanShiga no yu è tutto circa attento, buon cuore, autentico buon servizio. Amiamo la vibe degli anni '70 del posto. E 'incantevole stile degli anni '70 tutto il modo. I pasti forniti erano meravigliosi! Grande porzioni, gusto e varietà! Tutti i pasti erano diversi! Il ciccione era perfetto alla fine di ogni giorno di muscolo stanco da sci. Non aspettare il top della gamma di noleggi sci così se questo è importante per voi, portate il vostro. Ma se non lo fa, godetevi solo dello stile intimo del luogo e delle molte montagne sciistiche per esplorare cominciando con il sedile ascensore proprio fuori dalla porta dell’hotel!
