Sicuramente il fatto che soggiornandovi si risparmi l'entrata alla spiaggia/villaggio vichingo è già un plus. In effetti le camere sono ricavate nel retro del locale in simil -container, ma pur non essendo grandissime avevano tutte le comodità (compreso un bel termo, no TV) ed erano pulite. Colazione classica nel locale (avrei preferito che fornissero anche le loro torte agli ospiti). Wifi veloce. Una piccola deviazione da Hofn che ci sta.

Se volete respirare atmosfera Islandese, fermatevi e n questo country hotel. Spaziose le stanze con un bel bagno dall’atmosfera caratteristica. Distribuite nei vari bulding in cui si può parcheggiare l’auto direttamente fuori dalla propria stanza tutta in legno e con letti comodi. L’hotel è situato in un contesto naturale davvero suggestivo. Ristorante buono in particolare i piatti di agnello. Se volete vi preparano anche la pizza. Colazione continentale buona. La famiglia proprietaria gentile e attenta alle esigenze dei più piccoli. Consigliato.

Very disappointing stay in June 2023. We were supposed to stay for two nights but left after only one. Our room was very clean and had a lot of storage space but as we laid down to go to sleep we noticed a large patch of black mold way up in a corner of the ceiling. We tried to switch rooms then but the hotel was full. My daughter and I both have a severe mold allergy and in the morning we were both symptomatic. After breakfast I noticed paint marks on the ceiling where someone had previously tried to cover up the mold. Looking outside we saw a massive hole in the roof right over our room that could let even more water in. The breakfast hostess and manager were both very kind and apologetic. They said they knew about the issue and offered to let us change our room. Knowing that there was such a significant problem with one room made us skeptical about the other rooms and we decided to leave. It also left a bad taste in our mouths that the owner would rather cover up a health hazard instead of fixing it. In short, this hotel needs some repairs. If you can avoid room 116 you’ll probably have an ok stay. Other than the mold we didn’t have an issue with service, cleanliness, breakfast, or noise.

Clean, spacious, well equipt, family friendly and good customer service! 😊 Tough times are a blessing in disguise, it always reveals the true color of the people around us. We planned to stay in 2020 however Covid happened. Team was very understanding and accommodating to our predicament. It was a happy surprise to find premise exceeding our expectations too! Shoes are well organised with rack and oraginsers neatly stacked at entrance. Reception was friendly and informative. Room was clean and neat. In room wash basin was a big plus! There were 2 spacious and well equipt WCs to our section of 6-8rooms. 2 spacious dining areas, 1 large double fridge, 1 single fridge, spacious well equipt kitchen with various prep tables and 2-3+ sinks, pots/pans of various sizes, kitchen towels, utensils, cutleries, hot water dispenser, toaster, coffee percolator, sandwich press, oven, microwave, beverages and absolutely all one needs in the kitchen and more are furnished. It is also children friendly with baby chair, cot and safe play area provided. Rooms are well sectioned with family rooms assigned at the back, away from the hustle and bustle. There are also rooms in basement. There is also a washer/dryer and small drying rack at the far end, past kitchens and book cabinet with reading materials for the avid reader. We had a good comfortable night stay and hope you do too! 🙂

Il luogo di residenza è comodo, il bagno è molto grande 

Hotel bello con una buona posizione, poiché la nostra prima scelta chiave sarebbe la camera da letto privata, quindi questo hotel offre il miglior valore tra tutte le scelte disponibili.

We’ve stopped off at this guesthouse a number of times when we visit Vestrahorn. Every time we have been impressed with the cleanliness and comfort on offer. You get a lot for a very little price and it’s what keeps us coming back year after year. Breakfast is basic and consists of cereals and yoghurts but it’s included in your room rate. The guest house has a very hostel type vibe to it but that just adds to the pleasure of staying here.

Super clean and easily accseble little guesthouse in the middle of höfn. Clean bathrooms and lovely common room. Enjoyed my stay througly! Very near every restaurant in Höfn. Beachwalkway easily found.

Old Airline è una delle più belle guesthouse in cui abbiamo soggiornato durante il nostro viaggio in Islanda. Molto pulita, molto ben tenuta e molto organizzata sia la camera (un po' piccola) che negli spazi comuni. Mi hanno colpito favorevolmente alcuni dettagli come la lampada con wireless charger e la suddivisione dei ripiani in frigo per ospiti. La possibilità di poter utilizzare la lavatrice e l'asciugatrice, soprattutto se si è a metà vacanza, è sicuramente un plus. E quindi perché ”ma”? Perché alla fine l'addebito del soggiorno è stato maggiore di quanto risultava in fase di prenotazione. La proprietaria, gentilissima e disponibilissima all'accoglienza, quando è stata interpellata (per email, dato che eravamo già partiti) sul totale addebitato per la stanza, non ha mai risposto. Non era per fare questioni, solo per chiarire questo dubbio. Una bella esperienza guastata da questa indifferenza a incasso effettuato. A parte questo, cinque stelle le merita.

Appartamento fantastico, spazioso, molto ben arredato, dotato anche di un televisore abbastanza grande, cucina ad induzione piano cucina e zona living molto ampia, doccia molto spaziosa due lavandini per non costringere chi prenota a fare i turni per utilizzare il bagno, a pochi passi da una pizzeria ed un ristorante con posto auto sotto, consigliato vivamente
