UUtente ospiteAbsolutely amazing our stay at this hotel. After 2 rough nights in others hotels this was a cherry on the top. It was my husband and I anniversary so we decided to booked this hotel to chill and enjoy our time. Staff were nice at the lobby, hotel comes with free parking, lobby was very nice and stylish, room were spacious and super modern, free buffet style breakfast A+++ and for 30 dollars extra you could use the sauna, steam and massage facility. Hotel its in downtown selfoss so everything was nearby and it's such a cute little town. I definitely recommend this hotel worth the extra money.

BbechelceLa camera è stata molto confortevole e molto pulita. Il personale del desk è stato eccezionalmente utile e amichevole. Non posso commentare il valore, perché faceva parte di un tour di pacchetto, poiché i prezzi non erano stati divisi in totale, ma rimarremmo certamente lì. Abbiamo pagato per colazione, che era eccellente, ma non abbiamo cenato altrove al ristorante dell'hotel, quindi non posso commentare.

South Central Guesthouse was the 2nd leg of our journey and was very centrally located to main attractions we wanted to see, including Geyser, Pingveller Park, Gulfloss and many other areas. The only downside was the distance to Selfoss to restaurants but we did bring food to make our own dinners. We saw the Northern lights here very vibrantly, so that was awesome. The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen area was really nice. Loved being right next to a horse farm

L’hotel è bellissimo. Molto elegante, situato in una zona isolata, ma che permette di godersi il silenzio e ampie passeggiate. Le stanze sono ampie, dotate di tutto. Colazione ottima e con grande possibilità di scelta. Ottima anche la cena. Peccato che il menu sia sempre lo stesso. Siamo rimasti per due notti e avremmo preferito avere più scelta considerando che non mangiamo determinati tipi di carne. Altro fattore negativo: alcune camere danno suo parcheggio, altre sullo splendido panorama. A parità di prezzo, non mi pare giusto. Ultima cosa: sui balconi rimangono accese le luci per tutta la notte e sono davvero fastidiose. Sarebbe bello potersi godere il cielo stellato, poter dormire con le tende aperte. E invece sì hanno questi fari accesi tutta la notte, che oltretutto attirano un sacco di insetti e impediscono di aprire balcone o finestre anche solo per pochi secondi.

La decorazione del corridoio è molto interessante
Invia un'e-mail in anticipo per dirmi che sono un viaggio di luna di miele, mi darà anche un piccolo pezzo di amore nel letto, e anche un buon posto di vista (non è molto timido alla fine del corridoio 😊)
Può sentire il valore di una folla intima e calda!

Abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento per 4 persone, letto matrimoniale e divano letto. Spazioso, bagno ok, angolo cottura ok. Dotazioni quasi complete. Ottimo rapporto costi benefici. Di fatto in tutto il ns giro di 10 giorni, è stata l'unica sistemazione sotto i 100 euro a notte. Per un paio di tappe zona Reykjavik e anello d'oro lo consiglio senza problemi. Accanto piccolo market e pompa di benzina. Non è vista mare ma il mare è alle spalle. Di negativo direi solo la veduta dall'appartamento, piuttosto chiusa, e l'esterno del complesso che potrebbe essere rimesso un po' a posto, a prima vista appare dismesso, ma in fondo conta solo come si sta dentro. Non posso giudicare la zona ostello.

SSeaside27880083098We had a nice night at Country Dream. Our room although not large, was comfortable. we had 1 bedroom and a pull out sofa.... but wait.... The pull out sofa was not like any normal one where you have to pull everything off and have a bar in your back, it was a case of simply pulling a cord and the whole sofa turned upside down into a bed that was as comfortable as the bed in the bedroom. It took 20 seconds to pull out the bed and 20 seconds to put it back the next morning. The room had a small kitchenette which was adequate for cooking a simple meal. There was also a hot tub available to use with our room. As a bonus, we were invited to go into the stable to visit the owner's very friendly Icelandic horses. He also organised for a beautiful Icelandic Sheepdog to come and visit us. Country Dream is on a horse farm about 5 - 15 minutes drive from the main road between Geysir and Selfoss depending on the conditions. In the right conditions, it would give a great opportunity to see the Northern lights. If you are staying here in winter, I recommend that you ask your rental car company to provide you with a car with metal beads (studs) in the tyres as the road was very icy when we left due to rainfall and freezing temperatures.

Molto buono
This was our second stay, having visited first in 2016. It's a small, modern, high quality series of rooms. There are simple furnishings with comfortable beds and linen. The south-facing rooms overlook the main road, yet the room was quiet. The windows are large and let in lots of natural light. The location is great, offering easy access to most of the local amenities. The room was very clean and had fast reliable Wi-Fi (58Mbps down / 25Mbps up / 8ms ping). In terms of negatives, the towels were pretty small, there was only one pillow per bed and there were no bedside power points. Overall I'd happily recommend this location, and would stay here again.
